" "Why can I take all this stuff?" 😅 welcome to a Bethesda game, Lucy. Also love how the robot called you by name. That's a thrill. Game looks fun.nice companion to you Mass Effect playthrough.
In the armor menu there is an option to hide armor while in cities. That way you don't have to worry about looking like you're wearing a space suit all the time.
@@LUCYJROBYN No problem! Also in the helmet menu there's an option to hide your helmet in breathable areas. Also I just learned if you aim with the mining laser it harvests stuff much faster... somehow.
One more and I'll leave you to it: I think I've been utterly spoiled by CYBERPUNK 2077. The dialogue in this game is just more of SKYRIM (from 2011!) : the characters merely stand there, in one position, and deliver lines. Compare with Evelyn Parker who talks as you walk to the private booth, stands to let you pass, leans against the door frame a moment, bends to grab an ashtray, sits, lights a cigarette, and changes position several times while the convo is going on. STARFIELD (and I got to about where you stopped this video, myself) is so _wooden_ . . . Here's hoping Bethesda works on that for TES VI! P.S. to be perfectly clear : I have played every game Beth Studios has released since DAGGERFALL (except WET, where they were only the publisher) and bought them all in the "Special Edition" packages. So I'm no "hater."
@@LUCYJROBYN That's an interesting question for game designers : does having a protagonist who is voiced help or hinder player immersion? On the one hand, it makes the character feel more real but, on the other, it's not the voice we imagine in our head. I can go either way, myself, even as I honour the *extraordinary* work of Cherami Leigh (CP2077) and Jennifer Hale (MASS EFFECT.) More to the point, however, is that I'm now 6 hours into STARFIELD (sez Steam) and have yet to meet a person as well-defined as Joker, or loveable as Jackie Welles. CDPR really did elevate my expectations of what can be accomplished in a videogame . . .
I'm about 20 hours in. It's so addictive once you start doing some of the mars quests. Pickpocketing and unlocking doors with security has been a lifesaver in my game! Thanks for the video and I want to see more!
Lucy, you asked if Sarah is single, she's not in my game but in yours she is 😉I really enjoyed watching your first look at Starfield and look forward to more!
Definitely one of my favorite rpg games of all time, I played and loved Mass Effect to get ready for Starfield. It's definitely worth the wait I hope you enjoy the game!
Fyi, if you do not explore and go straight to objective you miss all the little stories, like what happened to scientist in that facility. Hint the crimson fleet did not kill them.
Hi Lucy, that was great fun as always. I love your infectious enthusiasm for the games you play. Keep on keepin it real! I was waiting on this before deciding whether to buy Starfield or BG3 after Phantom Liberty, and it's absolutely made my mind up in favour of BG3. For me, despite the sheer size and undeniable beauty of the game (and speaking as someone who put hundreds of hours into Skyrim) Starfield feels soulless, kinda like it was designed by AI. I guess we've been ruined by CP, but I expect intense emotion and physical relationships and all that deeply human stuff now in games, and Starfield, so far at least, hasn't delivered. I just kept praying that someone would at least drop the F-bomb lol! Big reality check for me was having all those brilliant background options in the character creator, then ending up as a newbie miner on some backwater moon. Anyway, still looking forward to catching the rest of the stream, and hopefully Bethesda will prove me wrong 🙏
Thank you!🙏🏼 I totally understand your thoughts on this, I feel we have been spoilt by the greatness of cyberpunk haha. I’m really tempted to try BG3 too, let me know if you enjoy it!
Hmmm...maybe there will be something worth playing after Cyberpunk 2077 after all... first 10 minutes look good. I'll leave it there and wait for reviews.
Well look at you diving right into the latest and greatest - premium edition and everything! One more like this and I'll call you game-addicted! Ha-ha-ha!
wdym? it's a sponsored video, she didn't buy anything. She most definitely do not even play Starfield whatsoever (beyond this ad of a video you're seeing), it's a garbage game.
Guys its a 'Sale Only' buy. Very underwhelming. Is ok but not next gen level. Quality, storytelling, playability, graphics, smooth gameplay (pc) EVERYTHING is disjointed & Not worthy of today's game quality potential.
I don't mean to white knight but this Lucy right here is a good egg so, no, "soulless" is not in it. As far as flooding TH-cam, well, yes. And Twitch. And all social media. And paper magazines back in the day - damm I'm old! . . . BUT if that was meant as a dig against marketing practices by Bethesda and Microsoft I suggest - respectfully! - that you've lost the plot. They ALL do this. They've *always* done this. Every one. Even the "little" developers like Frictional Games. And it's not like they invented the practice either : they've merely copied what movie studios have done since JAWS. They've also engineered a whole industry of "critics" they can put in their back pocket with "exclusive access" and compted trips and special visits . . . it goes on and on it goes.
@@LUCYJROBYN That's it girl! Go with your bad self and embrace it! Embrace infinity! . . . hold on! That's MASS EFFECT bleeding into this comment section now isn't it? - oooh I've got it bad! 🤣

Thank you to Bethesda UK for the key!💫 Who is playing Starfield this weekend?!
I love your interaction with Lin. I wish it was a dialogue option in the game.
