Another fan said that the S&G original was the warning, Disturbed's the anger and Geoff's the sorrow. All I know is that Geoff is a master at pulling out the emotions of a song and making us feel them with his music. The background music/percussions just ramps up the anticipation. This has All. The. Feels. And that Eb4 on the high belt was amazing!

10 seconds in & my new headphones were VIBRATING
The original, by Simon and Garfunkel, was a warning. More recently Disturbed's version appeared to convey anger that the warning had not been heeded. Geoff has re-imagined it yet again with a delivery that conveys sadness, yes, but more that that; to me it displays anguish, despair even, that people are still not listening. That booming makes my thighs tingle. I won't even try to explain that. It was added electronically in post production. I don't really know why you girls can't just enjoy it without complaining so much. :)
Such a beautiful cover. So melancholy and sad, but there is a light at the end of a long, dark tunnel. This song literally touches my soul and makes me cry every time I listen to it. There just are no words to properly describe how it makes me feel.

I can't decide which I enjoyed more - Geoff's singing or your reaction. The S&G original will always be my favorite, but this is on my list of "pretty close" covers, along with the Peter Hollens/Tim Foust one and The Hound and the Fox one with Adam Chance. My percussion fanatic heart is now addicted to those low background rumbles, but I'm kind of scared to listen with really good headphones. Even with my $10 Target headphones, my body vibrates. And don't get me started on the "Fabio hair blowing in the breeze" thing.

This is the way I all ways wonted to her this song. The quit of being alone in ones thoughts with the low voice. Then the contras of the high singing witch make it sound like the chaos of the world. Then back at the end being back the longing for the silence. His pasuet of exallents. Hope he never looses the dezire for exalents.
Few people love Geoff Castellucci as much as I do, except for you two gals. He is supremely talented at virtually everything he does..including that fan blown hair. In fact, you can peep my profile pic to see that after watching Country Roads Take Me Home by Geoff...I made the decision to emulate Geoff's hair by growing mine out and I've finally acheived Geoffdom !!! This version is simply amazing and I never even liked this song until now. You two should really react to the video that Geoff and his wife Kathy have done regarding her hearing loss journey. It's like 20 minutes long or so, but definitely worth it and it puts out such a great message to those who might need help. You could link to all of the same links to offer help to those who might be in her shoes. A PSA of sorts. Anyway...I adore you two gals and your friendship and comradery shine through in all of your reaction videos.
