This comes a few years after you built it but, awesome!! The nicest bumper ive ever seen, let alone watched being built. Cheers from a fellow jeeper in B.C.
It's nice to see someone who spends the time and effort to do something the right way 👍
My Dad drummed it into my head that there is never enough time to do something right, but there's always time to do something over🤔.
He was right about something else, the older I get the smarter he was.
You had me at xj bumper build, up until the part where I heard re-routing the trans cooler lines, at that moment I knew only mall crawlers have auto-magic transmissions lol jk great vid and fab skills and ideas 👍👍
I was an apprentice at a welding fabrication shop about 2 months ago and i used it as an opportunity to custom make my xj's front/ back bumper and custom rocker panels. Having knowledge in fabrication and welding can help put a lot if you dont wanna empty your pockets.
Absolutely, it's never a bad thing to know how to build things.
Great work! I also appreciate your matter of fact commentary with explanations devoid of opinions. You simply state what you are doing and its intended benefit or effect...no excessive defenses of your choices as if you are arguing, yet are the only man in the room. Subscribed!
You sir are setting a nice, high standard for home/shop projects. Very nice work.
GR8 video clip.
GR8 Jeep attitude.
Wow , looks great.
Greetings from North Texas.
That is the best looking front bumper in my opinion! Great video! You got yourself another sub
That gives the Jeep a whole new look. Good job.
Jeep is coming along nicely! Looking forward to the trail testing phase.
That is exactly what i have been looking for. a low profile and clean bumper build. thank you
Excellent work, alot of hours in so much detail, love the proximity of your winch towards the grill it looks great
Solid Job. I enjoyed watching it and look forward to watching more!!!
Thanks!
Enjoyed the video, straight forward, to the point, done. Thanks for posting
A stellar job, dedication level over 9000. Looks proper.
You’re a very skilled fabricator. Good job
Beautiful work my friend! You got skills. I would like to see a bar up and across the winch to protect it and ad some mounts to the top side of the cross bar for some kc lights.
Loved the video and your bumper.
Happy wheelin
Solid looking truck so far. Bumpers look great too.
Looks slick as hell bud I like it 👌👌👌 I've been looking at a lot of different ideas this is by far the simplest one I've seen and it looks great too
Excellent video and nice step by step. Gonna share this video and channel on my local Jeep groups.
Thanks, I appreciate whatever shares it gets.

Awesome and literally what my XJ needs!!
Very cool bumper! Love the custom fab.
All 3 episodes are amazing! Great fab skills. Clean shop. Great job.
Thanks! I'm hoping to get more content out eventually.
A nice shop and all the right tools....and plenty of room to work....makes ALL the difference in the world. It's hard to get in the right state of mind on projects like this when you're cramped for space and do not have the fabrication tools necessary.
just bought a FJ80 Cruiser to make into a trail rig and this has given me some great ideas and some inspiration.
Very nice and inspiring video. Thank you!
This is the most neat and satisfying fabrication of bumper to watch. Tks for sharing,bro.. (btw, I love this generation of XJ)
I'm a Tacoma Guy , but the thought of making your own Steel Bumper's is Very Inspiring, got to get some more tool and i will begin my Bumper's thanks for leads to making them.
Well done! Great vid, great editing, great workmanship.
Enjoyed all 3 videos. Makes me want to buy another truck so I can make bumpers for it! Haha
My dad and I made a rear bumper for my e350. Weighs about 300lbs but that was the goal for a 1-ton. Thanks for the videos!
Well done! Caught your link on Pirate and have not been disappointed.
Very nice work, thanks for taking the time to make and share 👍
Thanks for watching!
Excellent build, I like your attention to detail.
Thanks!
some of the best videos like this out there keep it up
Thanks for the kind words!
the front bumper came out great!!!
This is actually art
Love this video, simple, straight forward, and well edited. No goddamn house music and an intro that starts with "Hey whats up guys." Excellent video, subbed and liked, keep it up!
Thanks for the kind words. I'm trying to keep these videos reasonably professional.
@@2drx4 You're definitely hitting that mark! Even everything is well lit for each shot and the shop doesn't look like hell in the background. It makes me embarrassed about my shop haha
Excellent build video, wow!
Nice work, very similar to what I had originally planned. I tried to sell my rough country bumper but had to luck so I ended up just modifying it. I probably will end up building one eventually.
Nice build! Looks great!
excellent work, very clean. sub'ed!
That thing is BEAUTIFUL! I want to build one for my 78' F150 Custom
Powerplasma cutters are so useful. It sure came in handy for this bumper.
Excellent work sir!!!
Masterful, absolutely masterful.
Sick bumper 👌🏻great video
Nice work keeping it close to the body
Nice work !!!
The best, simple yet perfect skill work. I have never seen a beauty of a work yet professional. Loved it thoroughly. Ur Jeep looks awesome. I am your fan from now. Ya ... Subscribed bro.

Nice and clean job. Very functional
Nice build! 👊😎
Very nice job . .simple and looks like it will serve the purpose . Thankyou
This vid was awesome, thanks!
Perfect!
That is a "clean" front bumper for a winch to put on my 88 MJ.. I have an Ole school warn 10K winch that I am looking at mounting and this gave me the right idea on how to do it. Thanks
Awesome built!
Great job man
Very clean bumper build.
Best bumper build video. I’ll use this once I. Hold the bunker for my zj.
Love your work
your a artist such a beautiful masterpiece
Good job man!!! Amazing!
Very well put together video. Great bumper and winch setup. Nice job of fabricating! Ordering a lift kit tomorrow. I can't wait to get started on my XJ.
Thanks! Have fun working on your XJ. What lift are you getting?
@@2drx4 I am trying to do this without spending too much money so I went with Zone's 4.5 inch lift with the full rear leaf set. I have been scanning Cherokee experts on TH-cam and about a year ago ran across Cherokee Ron that's all about low dollar builds. He recommended Zone for budget and BDS if money was no object. Zone is owned by the same company that makes BDS and I guess their stuff is all made in North America.
I live in Minnesota so I get the northern climate lifestyle.
Your explanations are top notch. If it is okay I think I will copy your front and rear bumper design. Best I have seen so far!
I think you'll be happy with that lift, Zone does seem to be bang for the buck quality. Go right ahead and copy anything you like, be sure to take some pictures or make a movie and share what you've done!
@@2drx4 Thanks. I have a few videos of my many projects on my YT channel. I like how you put the narration on later.
I find doing the narration in post helps to keep the videos cleaner and quicker. But it's a back and forth thing... Lots of learning to do with the whole videos thing. I'll go check your channel out!
Good stuff, clean and effective.
That looks perfect
Excellent work !!! Congrats
Thanks!
Great and Lovely work mate 👏
I also built my own one few weeks ago but differently
Awesome job !!! And looks so much better than a bought one even if I'd buy one from you
Beautiful
Great looking bumper
You make this look easy, and from experience I know it's not. It's a very skilled trade!
Great job👍
Great idea for the shackle mounts.
Amazing job 👏
What a good looking bumper
I enjoyed your video, I look forward to building one for my sas blazer
Really nice job.
Awesome work. I wish I could have you do the same thing for my jeep
Nicely done
Looks clean !
Excellent work!
Thanks!
The design ofvthe bumper is nice and tight! This would be perfect for my 99 durango
ur steering box would be perfect for my xj
Well done !
I loved my jeep xj ( despite what people say ) , and this is great ..well done .
Great job on the bumpers 👍i ruined the front bumper on my 99 Ford F150 so i would like todo a similar build. Its an older truck so nothing to lose...very inspiring!
Thanks! Make sure you document whatever you wind up building, it's always neat to see what other people do.
Noted👍
Just bought a 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee and hoping to do the same soon to mine front and back winches
Very nice
That's for your video . This will help me on my build. It goin on a 78 blazer. Will be using your design. Thanks
So you crazy man!)) It's a great job!!! very strong and practic konstruction!
Thanks! Good to see I'm getting some views from the other side of the world too!
@@2drx4 ))) We also have many insane man, whose off-road vehicles do not fit in the head, but at the same time they are reliable and practical, and have a huge cross in comparison with the factory versions!
I love seeing all of the crazy trucks you guys have!
Awesome job man
Exelent and methodically explain.
Deadly-ass bumper... Great commentary... thanks
Cool bumper 👍👍👍👍
Not a fan of the torque wrench skills, but the craftsmanship is outstanding. Starting an xj build for my daughter and looking for inspiration. This is what i want, but with a stinger bar. Strong, quality, and low profile design.
Why not a fan of the "torque wrench skills"?
I really like this bumper looks really good
Thanks! Lots of thought went into it.
Nice work
Nice step 👍
Very nice.
Awesome build, I'd do the weld in a lower case cursive e pass, it gives the finished product a better look,.
Looks good , someday when I win the lottery I’m going to do this to my 89 Comanche, only ever needed a winch a few times since 1991 when I got it, but after a short swim and 1/2 ton chevy and a 3/4 Ford I was out, then I had to pull them out. Damn that was embarrassing.
