(Laska Here !) Hey Deej', I just saw your analyse of the match. It was a very tensed match, and I lsaw some things that could have been done during the match thanks to your replay.. thank you ! (By the way, thank you for the other replays you do !) Some comments on the match : _ I discussed with SonjaTheSuperior after the match, about the artilleries. He said the artilleries are good in live, because it allow you to create "safe zone" without too much thoughts, while sometimes, positionning tanks can be a pain in live. Also, good Artilleries position can be detected before the match. He got a point; everyone can learn from this. _ Same thing about the mechs. In this match, I learned that mechs are freaking good in live, it's pretty much always obvious were to move them. Perfect for situation you don't have much time left and there are 3 tanks and no inf in front of you I hope people learned things and enjoyed the match ^^
Hi @@wpt729fx; Yeah, in the Andy-Kindle matchup, the victory condition of Andy is to survive until you have ~25/30 units, because with the unit count going higher, Kindle become very bad (as in big brawl, you have far less battle in the cities) while Andy become unstopable. I feel like this victory condition is easy to achieve as Andy. (Also, I totally hate Kindle-Kindle matchup) I feel like Kindle is a bit overated in general, because playing against her is special and people maybe don't adapt enough their playstyle (?). You have to avoid fights in city and build more artilleries, and potentialy let her have one or two of your cities; but once the powers come out, if you play it well, she doesn't keep up. I mean, If you're not on a city or next to one, she as 0 power or effect on you, in some map the endgame is an absolute nightmare for her..! Drake is often still a better counter to Kindle, but I love copters (:3) and honestly, Andy vs Drake favors Andy imo. So Andy is often a default choice in T3. Note that in Live games, it's more difficult for Andy, as he tends to need very good wall and perfect block to still be aggressive. (I think that's why we see 90% of Kindle Kindle in live...)
Can I just say, I really appreciate how the visual craft of mapmaking has advanced. Roads lead places. You can imagine logistical networks in Wars World. I like it.
Fun Fact: "War Pigs" by Black Sabbath was originally going to be called "War Chimps," but it was changed to "War Pigs" to avoid copyright issues with a Jane Goodall book which already had the originally intended name.
32:15 I did not anticipate that this would end up about monkey war and the danger they are to humankind. Anyways.... lets continue watching a mirror of the depressed Adder.
Pre-watch commentary - I had the great pleasure of watching this game unfold live. It’s always a treat to see the Master of Math (MoM) in action (Laska too!). Thank you for covering this match, Deej!
Adder is such a no brainer in live. I can’t help but feel like SonjaTheSuperior negated a lot of his advantages by focusing on artillery. It worked out pretty well for awhile and he managed to create some scary attacks, but ultimately some of his artillery were left in less useful positions that other units would have been more useful in.
I have to say, the mech spam with antiair support from the strong side to defend and prepare the counterattack was really good. Allows the rest of the funds in the other side or to prepare them for beefier units.
Hey Deej, I have to admit that I wish you would upload more often than just once a week! Is it possible that you do 2 matches per week if it fits your schedule? Also would you be open to making polls to your subscribers and ask them which COs they would like to see next? I'm a sucker for Sami matches so I would vote for her probably every time but that's just me 😅
Great game, great commentary by the Deej! Also wanted to point out this stuffed Seel pokemon that you have in your deco! Don't remember seeing it before and it is really nice :)
Oh nice, the replay viewer now shows the actual time left for both players, that's a huge update!
Yay for the egg gang 🎉

Subbed and awaiting content :)
Hi Laska, I notice that you play as Andy a lot. Any particular reason for this? Do you believe that Andy matches well against Kindle?

@@arnaudcallebaut581 Thanks so much for the detailed reply! I learnt a lot from your response.

lmaoooo
Not one rocket, but TWO rockets from SonjaTheSuperior, both got blown up to make the game a great banger

Deejus just casually dropping a whole villain speech in the middle of his analysis like he's trying to be the antagonist of the next Advance Wars game

Holy crap the aggression! Great game and cast. Very baboonian,. Thank you Deejus ;)
I saw Sonya, i was secretly hoping for a fog match featuring her.
correct me if im wrong (too lazy to go on awbw to see) my guy sonja doesnt even play her that much
holy crap good sir
breathtaking hq rushes, this one's an instant fav
our baboon leader is back.
With a banger.
I have to say, the mech spam with antiair support from the strong side to defend and prepare the counterattack was really good. Allows the rest of the funds in the other side or to prepare them for beefier units.
great to see a standard banger, I know it's tougher to find them as often the game ends by day 11
That batman banger announcement though, let's go!
I guess we larnar who was superior.
This game had me by the edge of my seat; I could have seen both players so close to victory...!
Deejus spitting absolute knowledge during the wild war chimps tangent.
no trees blocking every possible way from your bases, no global damage co's, my dream game

i normally loathe mirror matches, butill watch this one Deej, for you
These thumbnails need to be in a museum lol
Good match! Lots of tiny LL maps that seem fun to play!

Well if Deej ever makes an indie strategy game totally not based on AW I know for sure it'll be
*_W A R C H I M P S™_*
WHAT A BANGER
I watched this match live. It was so wild!
We need Deejus to lobby a new baboonian faction on awby the Wild War Chimps W.W.C faction
Your monkey war stories are absolutely hilarious. Keep those baboon tales coming!
I wish advance wars by web didn't have -10% firepower infantry on jess
At least put different versions of the COs. Would like to have DS Jess, just put her in a different tier.
Battle of the sadders
JESUSSSSSS!!!!!
Great game.
snek
4th time lucky
Today I learned: Deejus cannot count mechs past 6.
