As a person that was born and raised in Hawaii and currently living in Hawaii, the word "Hawaiian" is understood an ethnic designation for a native person of Polynesian descent, and its use in the more general sense "a resident of Hawaii" is considered incorrect. I kindly ask you to please reconsider the title of the video for the respect and courtesy of others.

But she also said that she and her friends and family were getting tired of people splitting hairs over what is Hawaiian and what is not, there’s Hawaiian as in a citizen of the state of Hawaii/born and raised in Hawaii, and there’s the people of Hawaiian decent, like the ones who live on that island only the pure blooded Hawaiians can visit, and that it’s fine that the the word Hawaiian has multiple meanings. I grew up with a grandfather who originally came from Ni'ihau which is the only island that can't be entered and only a few people are allowed there. your friends family might think its chill, but for normal hawaiian activists like myself and many other kanaka maoli (what real hawaiian people call themselves) find it very important, to know the difference between ethnicity and being from Hawaii.
