Many, many thanks. What colors. What splendor. Beethoven must have heard this when he wrote the music. Mr Feltsman, you make everybody happy and feel envigorated again for life ahead. Greetings from Amsterdam. 😊
Vladimir Feltsman is absolutely at the top of my list!! I have been to one of his master classes, and all I can say is, all he has to do is play one note on the piano and his beautiful, wonderful piano TONE is comes to life like sheer magic! I have been listening to all 24 of his Bach Preludes and Fugues that I have on Heritage Music Society CD's the last few days. Each one of those Preludes and Fugues is a pure gem, fresh and unique in his hands It was obvious that he was having as thrilling, happy experience with this Beethoven as I have just had, watching. His technique is unprecedented, astonishing.
There is a boring pedestrian sameness to his playing ... could be the engineering but one time hearing him in this work is more than enough ,that he considers himself a conductor is laughable .

What a wonderfully energetic performance! I haven't heard it played this way before, and it's magnificent.

who's the orchestra? This has the sound of an impromptu local recording by the performer/conductor

Antek Milka I have to agree its just does not sound forceful enough and the pianist does Not do this remarkable genius composition justice.
