    I see the reasons. But that does not make him a good person. Good writing doesn't always mean a good character. The problem with him and midoriya isn't how he is being treated now. I see that he sees him as a rival and I get why he is so mean. The problem is how he previously treated midoriya. He physically abused him, a weaker person the one who he aspires to protect, and he also told him to kill himself because he wasn't a contender. That is unacceptable. This man is an abusive bully who gets his way. He beat midoriya and all might hugged him. Yes he was carrying a lot with him, but he still hasn't had to take responsibility for his previous actions. And he never will. Because he is a "hero". A hero who thinks the weak should kill themselves.

    I think the reason Katsuki has so much internal conflict with Izuku was the fact that he was always so mean to him. Everybody -- or most -- people know that Katsuki really does care about Izuku, hell, he only let's Izuku call him Kacchan and he took so much out on his body to save Izuku during the USJ and final exam arc. So the reason I think he "hates" Izuku is the fact that he almost feels bad for what he's said. (but also because other reasons I'll explain later) When Izuku didn't have a quick he was always using a child mindset, even when he was in middle school. I think Bakugou was trying to tell him that he wasn't going to make it so that he wouldn't be as hurt in the wrong so he began to in a way "tell him the hard truth" by being mean to him. So when he found out that he got into UA he was probably having alot of internal conflict by that fact that he had been bullying his best friend -- and one of him closest -- to the point of telling him to kill himself because he actually did care for him. He hated the way he always had a child mindset and didn't see the world how it really was and Katsuki tried to show him it. Its kinda like saying to a person who's been training their entire life "oh I'm gonna be an olympist when I grow up!" But never actually working for it. So that person tells you the hard truth that your not going to get in. That person like, like Izuku may still dream of being one and if your training for it and there doing nothing that's probably gonna agrivate you. So once you find out that they did get in your beating yourself up for saying all that and your mad at the person for suddenly coming out of the blue and you never even saw them train or they may have not even trained in the first place. So I guess that's why Katsuki is one of my favorite characters? He's got so many layers to him and he's honestly so misunderstood. What do you think?

    • @TheArtofMore1
      @TheArtofMore1  6 ปีที่แล้ว +44

      Hmmm....there's a lot of room for this to be fleshed out. Honestly, it'd be one hell of a reveal if they showed Bakugou was much more conflicted and apologetic about his treatment of Deku. But I do believe there is a bit of intimidation that drives Bakagou to try to tear down Midoria and Todoroki also.

    Everybody forgets that Bakugo, before the end of All Might, was nothing more than a typical bully.
    As a kid he had cronies and they beat up people weaker than them, not just Midoriya. They all grew up and the beatings, threats and even Bakugo telling Midoriya to kill himself continued.
    See, it seemed like MHA was heading in a direction that would see Bakugo gain some true redemption and actual character development beyond 'I feel guilty but I'm still gonna treat everyone around me like shit', but because he grew so damn popular the writer doesn't have the guts to actually have people call out Bakugo on him being a shit person. Now instead everyone in 1A just acts like he isn't treating them all like shit, instead of snapping back like normal humans would. So because he's so popular as he is, as a dickhead bully, he's never going to actually get a reflective arc. He's never going to improve or apologise for anything, because his fangirls will hate that.
    He's a good character, but until he actually becomes a better person, he's overrated. He does nothing but treat others like shit.
    The Bakugo Amesia comic got it best, right until the end. He loses his memories but upon seeing what he was really like he's absolutely disgusted with himself. BUT that was all ruined when in the end he got his memories back and became even worse because of it, and then the writer had the nerve to have Uraraka fucking flirt with him after he assaulted Midoriya.
    In other words, nobody wants Bakugo to have real development, only to be told that he's changing while never seeing any results. It's frustrating for people who actually want to see him redeem himself properly.

    Bakugou is the anchor that brings down an otherwise great show for me. The series wants me to see him develop as a character and improve as a person but that's practically impossible for me to do when the my first impression of the character is seeing him mentally and physically torment the main protagonist we're supposed to identify with (and I do greatly) and tell him to kill himself. And the stuff they show that's supposed to make us understand him more, just makes me dislike him more. Especially when you look at the terrible mental state his bullying has clearly put Deku in. Deku has severe insecurity and self esteem issues that have lead him to nearly damaging his body trying to save others and still struggling to find self worth. Why? Because he spent his whole childhood being told he's worthless by someone he thought to be his FRIEND. Sorry, no matter how the author, anime writers, or the fans present it for me, I see absolutely NO positive value in Bakugou and remain baffled as to why he's the most popular character. Hell, I think Mineta is a better character than Bakugou. Yeah, I said it. Mineta's cringy as Hell but at least he can be entertaining about it and actually gets punishment for his terrible behavior.

    I’m going to be completely honest here. I think that Katsuki Bakugou is actually the worst character in My Hero Academia. I know a lot of people think otherwise but this is just my opinion and I want to say something about it.
    Of course it doesn’t effect me none if your favorite character is Bakugou, I will respect your opinions since this isn’t attacking anyone in particular.
    Let’s start off with his personality. In the show it shows that Katsuki Bakugou is showcased as an explosive asshole with a gigantic ego who is also a bit of a narcissist. He’s extremely cocky and thinks of himself as the best student in the hero course who is going to surpass All Might one day.
    He often acts immature and selfish, often times lashing out on his fellow classmates for absolutely no reason. He is also a brute who has no self control and cares about no one. He treats people without any respect at all and doesn’t hesitate to hurt Izuku Midoriya in any way.
    These are all bad qualities of a character and should not be favored. He doesn’t really deserve the fan base he really has. His anger issues and rough personality are something that will most likely be his downfall in the future. His constant goal to be the best is usually his top priority and he doesn’t care who he hurts.
    Let’s not forget the fact that he is a bully who would probably make you cry in real life if he yelled at you. He is constantly screaming in other people’s faces about how much better than any of them.
    It is unfair with the way he treats everybody around him.
    Bakugou is supposed to be an extremely smart individual who has good ambitions to further his career as a pro hero. But he doesn’t really show that since his anger often times takes overtakes his reason and judgement. He is too blinded by his pride and unable to admit his obvious flaws. He even yells that he is always “calm and rational” to Kirishima (I’m pretty sure that’s who he was talking to.
    Now onto the next reason. His quirk. In the show, he is an extremely overpowered character who ends up winning no matter who he is up against. In the sport’s festival, the beginning starts with him pledging to everybody that he’s going to end up beating them. He ends up staying true to his word but it is unfair that characters who deserved to win the sports festival are denied the praise that he has gotten from the fans of the show.
    The way that Ochaco Uraraka executed her plan to fight him was a pretty smart idea. Though she was given a huge disadvantage due to her quirk being less powerful than Bakugou’s. Whenever she got all the chunks of concrete to fall on him, he was miraculously able to explode his way out of the rubble without so much as even trying since his quirk is so powerful.
    He is usually able to bypass anybody he starts a fight with. The same thing in the sports festival that happened with Todoroki was that he ended up “coping out” by passing out on the arena. And Todoroki is one of the most powerful students in the hero course.
    I think some some of the same things can be said about Kirishima’s power. I know his quirk isn’t incredibly flashy compared to other students in the hero course, but I think he did pretty well in the sports festival. Bakugou was pretty much able to counter off Kirishima’s blows quite easily without any struggle when it would probably be more than an enough for any regular person to take.
    Next I’m going to point out his relationship with Midoriya. Izuku is normally portrayed as a nice guy with a good heart who always tries to put his best foot forward when it comes to terms with wanting to be a hero.
    In middle school he was often a victim of Bakugou’s torment such as him pushing him up against a wall and telling him he would beat him up if he even stepped foot into UA, calling him worthless and pathetic, burning his hero journal, and going as far as telling him to “swan dive off the roof of building.” This was a huge hit to his confidence, often making him question his ability to become a good hero.
    When Midoriya ends up making it into the UA and finds out that Midoriya has a quirk, thinking he was lying and trying to make a mockery on him, he tries to attack Deku but is restrained by Aizawa-Sensei’s signature scarf.
    During the villains vs heroes exercise, we get sort of an inside look as to why Bakugou is so harsh on Izuku. He claims that he felt like as a child, Deku looked down on him and thought he was going to do better than him. When falling off the log over the water, he ends up landing on the ground where Izuku comes to confront him and ask if he’s alright. Bakugou refuses the help and then this starts his grudge against Midoriya. I think that this reason shouldn’t be justified since it doesn’t sound like a very good explanation as to why he torments him.
    Midoriya was trying to be a good friend and help him up. He deserves no pain or torture for his want to be a hero despite being quirkless.
    With his bad blood with Izuku, we can also point his attitude towards the other students. Kirishima is Bakugou’s best friend and is always there for him, often telling people that he has good intentions even though he doesn’t really show it. Kirishima is always trying to see the best in him since he tends to look up to people who he believes are “manly” since this is mainly his way of thinking.
    There often times when Bakugou treats Kirishima like dirt by yelling at him and calling him shitty hair when he points out something about something Katsuki did when he didn’t deserve it.
    Skipping ahead to later on in season three during the training camp story arc. He knows that he is in danger but refuses to accept help when the villains are after him claiming that he “doesn’t need protection” when he obviously couldn’t defend himself on his own. His refusal to be kept safe was somewhat a success in the Vanguard Action Squad’s goal to abduct him.
    Since Kirishima had previous failed during the practical exam arc, he was stuck in the remedial classes and felt helpless when he couldn’t keep Katsuki safe since he was stuck with others who failed the remedial classes. He wants to save Bakugou, taking drastic measures to disobey the pro heroes by wanting to save him. This shows even more of a reason why he looks up to him. He is willing to do whatever it takes to save him.
    Min the villains hideout, Bakugou is chained up and restrained while Shigaraki converses with him to try and convert him to a villain. Bakugou claims that he will “never join their league of bastards.” When they end up unchaining him, Bakugou is quick to attack, somewhat being able to face off the villains, punching Shigaraki and knocking the hand off of his face.
    He saved by Izuku, Todoroki, Iida, Kirishima, and Momo, and isn’t even grateful for it. He doesn’t consider the fact that they risked everything, even getting expelled by Aizawa, to rescue him from any harm. He doesn’t really take the time to care (though he does end up beating up Kaminari to give money to Kirishima for the night vision goggles he’d bought.)
    I think I’ve gotten those points addressed. I now want to point out the reasons why I think everybody likes Bakugou so much.
    We can take into consideration with his appearance. He is a decently attractive male with a strong build. He often gives off the bad boy aura. For example, his messy hair and tie-less uniform. People often seem to be drawn by those characters.
    Now if he looked somewhat like Mineta and still kept his personality, people wouldn’t like him since he wasn’t “hot.” Most people would hate him and think he’s a huge jerk.
    With his personality, people think he’s a huge softy under all that exterior, even though he probably isn’t. They think he is a “rebel without a cause” per say that can be fixed by them if he existed in real life.
    Bakugou isn’t really adapt for relationships since he doesn’t seem to really care about girls and is more focused on his goals and ambitions. And he probably wouldn’t really like a majority of the fan girls who thirst over him.
    I think people are generally drawn to him because some find him somewhat relatable (though I don’t really know why.) They can say things like “I have so many anger issues just like Bakugou. So relatable! Lol.” “I really get him since he has a huge distaste for certain person, just like me.” (Not trying to make fun.)
    Well, I think I covered over mostly what I wanted to talk about. Like I said in the beginning, I think Bakugou is a bad character who is written over dramatically and doesn’t really deserve a huge fan base.
    This thing seems a little biased since I do agree with some of the things that happen in the show.

      Thank you for this well-written explanation.
      All of your points make perfect sense, and I agree with you on all of them.
      The case of Bakugo’s fans and critics itself tickles me. Since I've made this video I've watched others for and against him, with more and more being made each day.
      My reason for liking him, if I’m really honest with my self. 🤔
      I like villains. I must have a thing for the assholes. Which probably stems from my contrarianism.
      I think a large swath of his fans like him because he’s hated or like you practically alluded to, he’s an edgelord kamidere. They can live vicariously through his bs because he's a power fantasy.
      But that's just one take. Who knows.
      I appreciate your writing, thanks again for taking some time out of your day.

      I think I like bakugou because he has the most realistic backstory and the most realistic personality in my opinion. For example if you get told that your amazing and you got a path or greatness ahead of you, than this will most likely give kids a god like complex and a type of ego. This makes you see people lesser than you weak so you start to show the weaker person that there not gonna be anything and should just give up. But as you get older you realize that your not as great as you used to be and this can form a butt load of insecurities. It also doesn't help that the mom is untentionally abusing him and people are playing it off as joke. Kids tend to listen to their parents when they say stuff like it's your fault your dad died or in bakugous case his mom said it was his fault that all might is no longer able to be a hero and it's his fault that he got kidnapped. It's all phycological so you can blame a portion on his mom for treating him that way.(again by the looks of it, I think she didn't mean to intentionally abuse him) unfortunately it is common for kids to grow up being told they were gonna be great and getting praised a little too much for a gift they have and this tends to form a god complex and as they get older they realize they aren't that special which in most cases cause anxiety, depression, and a hell lot of insecurities and my guess is bakugou plays those things off with anger and acting like an ass. And I guess I like bakugou more than deku because deku really just resembles a normal protagonist who's only problem is being too nice and always helping others but bakugou actually shows a lot of flaws that affect teens and shows that the environment you were born in can really play a huge part on how you see the world and your behavior and his character kinda goes to show how people really don't give to shits about mental health and how so many things can be overlooked and made into a joke.

    A very interesting video. I personally think at first, it was just that instead of saying him that strenght isn't everything and that there is always somebody who is better, he'd been said that he is the best, great and amazing. So he thought it was okay to treat other worse, especially the quirkless Deku, because he had that mindset that he will be the king of the world since he is like the 'blessed child.' Then, he realised the reality looks completely different, his little world collapsed and he wasn't only angry at everything and everybody, his pride also grew so huge he can't admit that he might be wrong or weak. I also think he created himself a perfectionist-way of thinking, he takes making mistakes and losing as the biggest mistake. Also, about his relationship with Deku, I think in his eyes, Deku treats him as someone weaker, despite being skinnier, shorter etc. As I said previously, Bakugou thinks he should be the best, because people told him he is and he can't accept anything else. So to him, the fact that Midoriya wants to constantly help him is like saying 'oh, you poor weakling, you can't do it on your own' and it stings his heart. All in all, I think someone should just talk to him, make him talk as well. He's been changing, really, he's been learning and improving, but who knows what kind of negative feelings he hides inside him, how many words he secretly wants to say. I really like him as a character, he's the anti-hero type. It makes him more believable, more genuine and human. Because no matter how much we want wonderful heroes to exist, most people wouldn't help others without any benefits or personal goals, and nobody is saint and perfect. That's what makes him so great. He fucked up, he should apologize, but he's changing, he's developing, he's trying. And I can totally respect that.

    I never understood the "Bakugou was a big fish in a small pond, but now he's meet bigger fish" point of view. He had the highest score in the Combat Part of the entrance exams, which everyone in his class besides Todoroki and Momo took part of. He also had the second highest academic grades in his class, as we see from the midterms (I think it was the midterms). Everyone is his class acknowledges his strength, and if it wasn't for the fact that Todoroki is another prodigy, who's the son of the #2 hero, and got into UA based on recommendations, there would be more discussion in there class on who is stronger, but for now everyone assumes Todoroki is stronger, which I don't really agree with. Bakugou scares most of his other classmates, and the ones that he doesn't scare acknowledge his strength. Besides, we all know that besides Deku, Todoroki, and maybe Iida, Bakugou would destroy anyone in his class in a one on one fight, and possibly even all at once.

    • @TheArtofMore1
      @TheArtofMore1  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Bakugou has always been number one as a kid, there's always been a wide chasm between him and everyone else. But since he's been at U.A. There are actually people on his level, people nipping at his heels.

    • @heirhead413
      @heirhead413 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Wilson - The Storyteller Todoroki and Deku are the only ones that are really on his level though. Even Tokoyami, who is a powerhouse, is no match for Bakugou. I just can't see anyone else coming close to Bakugou. In the Sports festival, we see that no one in Class 1-A can really match Todoroki when he is just using his ice side except for Deku and Bakugou, and even if Todoroki didn't make that failed attempt to use his fire side, and instead tried to win using his ice the entire time, Bakugou would have still beat him. So Bakugou is still far ahead of his classmates. The only person nipping at his heels, or at least the only person Bakugou would have felt nipping at his heels, was Deku, and that's justified because even in the Sports Festival, Deku was stronger than most of his classmates and could have knocked them off the stage with one finger flick. Literally during Deku and Bakugou's fight, his classmates started praising him. I can't imagine Bakugou would feel the pressure of his classmates catching up to him when they themselves don't seem to think they are applying that pressure, and he wouldn't be wrong in not seeing his classmates as potential rivals because most of them can't rival Bakugou in either strength, intelligence, or both.

    I, myself am also like this. Maybe that’s why I can relate to him in so many ways besides the quirk part- but still, Midoriya could take Bakugou’s bullying in another way. A way where Bakugou’s words can build up Midoriya and motivate him. That’s how I would take it too, to be honest.

Bakugous ego and superiority complex is holding him back and is actually quite cringey to watch. If he just gets of his high horse and stop comparing himself to everyone he could do so much more

      Bruh everything your saying is wrong. Bakugo is obviously naturally talented at everything he try’s. (That’s just a fact we all have to deal with). His pure overall skill with combat and his quirk is unmatched by anyone in class 1-a. And he may have a big ego but he’s still smart. He’s been stated by many to overestimate his opponents often so he doesn’t lose an upper hand. Bakugo works over and over and is just as overall powerful if not more powerful than todoroki when todorokis quirk is completely better in every way. Horikoski said todorokis is probably top 5 best quirks while bakugos in maybe the top 25 or 20. Also many rankings say the same. Bakugos drive, motivation, training, and skill are far superior than todorokis and are arguably better than deku. Bakugo may not acknowledge his weakness but he does know them. He creates moves like howitzer impact (which is stronger than todorokis flash freeze) and he creates new ones with his thinking training, and development (examples like x catapult and ap shot). Todoroki relies on his quirk too much and doesn’t develop or train as much as Bakugo at least not In the way he should. The only thing todoroki has over Bakugo is raw power. Bakugo has speed agility, raw strength, stamina, reaction time, battle strategy, durability, and intelligence.

    Bakugo is the worst character in the entire show and I will never see him as a good character p.s. (edit) I’ve wrote this comment about 3 months ago and I Hal most forgot about this post though I haven’t changed my mind about bakugo i still don’t see him as a good character simply because he’s basically hasn’t changed throughout the show and while some people like him I seriously don’t understand why people enjoy his character and even his storyline is honestly pretty bad when compared to other characters in the show and though people argue that “he just needs to learn to talk with people/interact better” I personally haven’t seen a thing as far as character development, or even mannerisms so while some may disagree, I personally don’t think I’ll ever see him as a good character

      Oh you kinda sound like bakugou

    He probably feels attacked by the color green. I mean, he obviously gets defensive and egotistical whenever Izuku improves on anything. Then he obviously hates the sludge monster incident. Now, I'm not saying that he hates that because the sludge was green, but it probably played an aspect of it. Maybe that's why his gaunlets are green, because he wants to force all hate he has faced towards green onto others.

    A lot of times, in writing, writers use metaphors. Bakugo being so cruel IS that. He doesnt directly KILL midoriya, but he makes him feel that way. The story is MIDORIYAS story, HIS point of view.
    His FEELINGS.
    Bakugo, in a more realistic setting, would still be a dick, but not a monster. Anime is, in many cases, exaggerated to establish character

    And just from that explanation, putting myself in Bakugou's shoes.. I cried and got angry. I may not be a hot-headed that kind of abuses my childhood friends and bully them but just feeling all that praise everyone put to you as a kid been crushed by the one you used to look down to and other people is.. It's just hits in the heart. Sure, all that pride made him say alot of bad things and those can't be forgiven but that's what you'll get out of a TOO much praised kid that wants to be number 1 hero. I PERSONALLY think that Bakugou may not change soon but he'll surely will in the future.

    Here’s my reason Somewhere along the way, Bakugou earned his quirk along with the other children in his class, except for Midoriya. When that happened, he even mentioned how Bakugou changed all of the sudden. His confidence in himself suddenly grew and grew. After this one incident where Bakugou fell from a log into a small stream of water happened with Midoriya being the first one to offer help... he became very mad. From then on, he started teasing him and even gave him the nickname, "Deku," meaning useless. I guess he thought that Midoriya was looking down on him so he got upset. Even after the teachers complimented his quirk, Bakugou suddenly came to his senses that he was special compared to everybody else. There is something seriously wrong with him I tell ya. His confidence in himself is like more than the peak of the Everest mountain. The main thing that bothered me was why Bakugou started hating him from that point. Midoriya just offered his hand to help him, yet he suddenly snapped at him. Since that starting point, his annoyance just developed from then on into what we know today as their complicated relationship.

    • @seimari5250
      @seimari5250 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It was stated in the anime. When he fell to the river, his friends said that Bakigou's stuff and he can get up on his own so they didn't mind him. But Deku offered him help, and ever since then Bakugou felt like Deku's looking down on him. That's why his ego got hurt and he mad. Interesting character, isn't he?
      I do wish he will get an arc where he realize his resolve from his wrongdoings and not just set out being rivals with deku, but also apologize to him then they continue to compete again. It's better that way cause you can see the result of his development.

  • @knightwing2172

  • @averyrene5404
    @averyrene5404 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Good video. But there's another level of complexity. Don't forget Bakugou's mom and her violent ways of raising him, as well as when Deku in their childhood defended a kid from Bakugou. That last moment was the switch from when Katsuki stopped teasing Deku and started to bully him. He was hurt.
    I believe Katsuki is way more complex than what you said in this video. In season 3 we witness Katsuki's mother hit him and call him weak. Not only that but she apologizes for Katsuki getting kidnapped instead of considering the trauma Katsuki may have gone through. And when speaking of 'why' Katsuki turned out 'that way,' she explained it was the praise. During this explanation, Katsuki looked at her in pure venom.
    The anime played the scene off of as playful, but analyzing it as a whole, it's straight-up abusive. Katsuki turned the way he did because he doesn't know how to express himself in any other way except violence because he was raised under a violent household. I also believe Katsuki's motivation to become #1 is because his mother called him weak in childhood, which is why he felt the need to bully Deku and prove he was strong, and the need to become #1 so he could prove he wasn't weak.
    I also believe that Katsuki doesn't hate Izuku, but he is frustrated because he's growing and also when Deku turned on him and defended the kid Katsuki was harassing. He was hurt by this because, in a household where he felt unloved, Deku was the one person who believed in him whole-heartedly. Seeing that person turn on him, and someone he believed as 'weak' it caused hurt and anger that affected their relationship for years to come. Katsuki is complex because he doesn't know how to express how he feels because of the way he was raised. It's more than him wanting to become #1. You forgot to answer the question why does he want to become strong, and why does he want to become the top hero? That's where you failed. But it was a good video though!

  • @Moon.sky2
    @Moon.sky2 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Katsuki probably secretly cares about deku because he's hiding his vulnerabilities so that when he is a hero the villans don't go and strike for the people he loves and in a way pushes them away or is mean because he wants them to be safe, just my opinion

    It’s a very normal thing actually to me Bakugo is a character I adore for the fact that I feel this too - to grow up thinking your amazing to only have your perspective by people you don’t think about or widely consider to be fodder must hurt him like no other - it’s a reality everyone faces someday that your not gonna be hot shit or top dog there’s always gonna be something above you in some way. You can’t become the best when someone could easily have something over you and it’s frustrating to feel stationary or it’s hell on earth to feel as if your previous beliefs of yourself is constantly shattered over and over by the people around you . Anger like that can’t be quenched or satisfied you have to hit some kinda wall that’s gonna completely shake you and ruin your perspective of everything to eventually reshape you as in I don’t think bakugo will ever heal in a normal way. He needs to hit the celling or to reach an extreme where his perception shatters and he’s forced to rebuild - he will always be angry but he will be somewhat tamed to a degree of that makes sense

    To me, he's overly ambitious (he wants to win so much that he attempted to take on freaking All Might by himself) and kinda axe-crazy (just his temper and foul mouth though). However, I think there're 2 weakness he should work on in order to become the no.1 hero:
    1, Inspiration: So far, Bakugou hasn't inspired any one he met while the list go on and on with Deku. If he keeps acting recklessly for the shake of beating up villains while giving absolutely no crap about the people he could potentially put into danger, who would recognize him as a hero, leave alone the no.1 hero?
    2, Method: Bakugou really needs to reconsider his mindset about winning. Beating his friends in a few fights doesn't necessarily prove he's better than them, but even if it does, what's the point if he loses against villains, honestly?

    the bakugou hate in this comment section makes me mad, Bakugou is a victim of abuse, u guys r just victim blaming him, fighting is the only way he can really reach out and express his emotions. He didn't receive any soft caring love from his home, so he tried to used other peoples validation instead. He literally knows the only reason he is praised is because of his quirk. You guys r also forgetting he has canon anxiety, ptsd and both an inferiority/superiority complex. aLso, he came from an emotionally abusive household, u are heavily influenced by that type of stuff. Rinnegan Saiyan The only you could say is stronger than him is Todoroki.
      Bakugou is getting stronger.
      He's the number one student of class 1-A.
      The reason he thinks he's not getting stronger is because his progression is slower than Deku's. And the reason for that is because Deku just started. Leveling up from level 1 is easier than leveling up from level 50. It's slower for Bakugou because he's already so strong. Deku is level 1 and Bakugou is level 50. Bakugou thinking he's not getting stronger is just in his head, it isn't true.
      There are only two people smarter than him and that's Momo and Iida.

    Having a god complex is one thing but telling someone to kill themselves is on a whole other level. I get that Midoriya could've been in his "way" but it still doesn't give him a reason to bully someone. Like why are you guys making excuses about him bullying someone? If you were bullied you wouldn't agree with what he has done.

    • @TheArtofMore1
      @TheArtofMore1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well explanations or reasons for are different from excuses. I can’t speak for everyone else though.
      Also, something fascinating is how many people have commented how Bakugo told Midoriya to “kill himself.” I understand in today’s climate how we are more sensitive towards things like that. But growing up in New York we used to tell everyone to kill themselves. That was a version of saying “fuck you.” So that didn’t even register as some offense.
      Anyways. Bakugo is a bully. He can’t express his emotions while not appearing vulnerable making him an asshole. I agree with that. As someone who was bullied and also a bully at different points of my life, I can relate to all sides.
      People just like assholes, that’s my guess. The standoffish jerks in anime that have committed horrible atrocities but become the hero’s rival/best friend just does it for some of us
