I love that, 40 episodes in, this is the one where Nate says, "People are listening." Like, we're clearly not going anywhere Nate. We watched you guys eat donuts for a bonus. Not even a crazy amount, but like a normal amount of donuts a person would eat. As a bonus. That's who we are.

If you listened to this Middle Ages episode and didn’t watch it, you would never know the comments video was completely separate from the actual episode. This is because the brilliant editor(s) of this podcast spliced the videos together while Nate was saying “Uhh” as usual (or like he always does). This editing should honestly win some kind of award. I was so blown away at the geniusness I almost gasped!

I have laughed hysterically at every single episode, but my biggest laugh so far came from this episode when Nate said “I think we got a new Krispy Kreme challenge” I ugly laughed for so long at that I think it was mainly the visual I had of the 3 of you doing it.

Nate’s running bad news bit at the beginning of the topic is always my favorite. “Laura left me” or “Aaron is dead” it gets me every time. I hope they get more ridiculous with time....“ Breakfast was murdered by a penguin.”

I like how Nate waits until 8 minutes in to admonish Aaron for not wearing “company” apparel. Couldn’t have had a pre show meeting? Nate probably treats this like his stand up dates. Just strolls into the office like he’s waking on stage after being introduced by the feature act. Love the show. It has made me excited for Wednesday mornings for the first time in 30+ years. Nate will appreciate this, last semester I took a class called New Media and Medievalism. We basically compared how things have changed since the Middle Ages. One student compared the town crier to Twitter. I ended up recreating a 14th century stained glass window with coloured tissue paper and poster paper. I’m a marketing major so it was different but it ended up being one of the best classes I had ever taken.

I’m with Aaron’s mother in law, I’m here for the golf. It sneaks it’s way into every episode, even the Middle Ages. I’ve watched the new special twice now: the first time I watched it with my friends, I told them that the golf course with llamas was the club right next to my high school, we just kind of moved along like no big deal. Then, tonight, I watched at home with my parents in Pinehurst, and when Nate talks about the llama caddies they got so excited to hear about Talamore resort on Netflix, we had to back it up and rewatch the joke. My dad is now all in as a Nate fan, finally moving on from his loyalty to Blue Collar Comedy Tour.

My daughter, sensing my disappointment, said, "Look Dad, I am not in the mood this morning and I have a stomach ache. I normally might have laughed, but today it would have hurt." They watched Paw Patrol instead.
Le Petomane, the French Flatulist is worth looking into more. He was the star attraction at the Mulan Rouge. He ended his act when World War I started which was ironically known for poisonous gas.

I am Christian, not Catholic. The tenth (tithe) is biblical, definitely not Catholic doctrine. How it is used can be wrong, which is what I think Brian is referring to. It takes $ to keep lights, heat/air, maintenance. Its a gift of love, as for your families. God provides instruction for His church in this regard, to give tithe (tenth). And He gives back soooo much more!! Take a look at Gen 28:22, Deut 14:28-9, Lev 27:30-33, Num 18, Malachi 3:8-12, Prov 3:9-10, 2 Cor 9:7 etc. It's not a means of salvation but a byproduct of relationship. God is a good, not a task master. Guilt isn't biblical, tithe to keep Gods work on earth moving is. Hope you enjoy looking into this. Sure enjoy you guys! Thx for the podcast!

Can't figure out if It's a good thing or a bad thing that I've been listening to this podcast while running. Reminds me of a Tom Clancy novel where you can space out for a while, and not have to back track to figure out what's going on.

Just started watching, and I can tell just by the title that this episode is going to be a top 3 favorite/best episode. Just picturing all the jokes that will be made and how much nate is going to get wrong or thought that he knew and it turns out he was wrong all this time. Maybe high Hope's but I don't think I'm going to be wrong about it being a top 3 EP.

As an almost 40 year old I totally thought we were going to talk about being middle aged. Well...I enjoyed the episode about "The Middle Ages". Side Note - It would be fun if you did an episode about the pros and cons of being middle aged since I'm about to hit that number. This is assuming I hit 80 years old.

After hearing the Roland the Farter story, I'm confident my buddy must be a distant relative. In college about 15 years ago, we were pregaming pretty hard before the SEC tournament in Atlanta when he sneezed, farted, and burped all at the exact same time. It was the most foul and hilarious thing I've ever seen another human experience. I haven't seen him in a few years and I think this story might be the reason I reach out to him to catch back up. Nateland out here doin' the Lord's work, keep it up guys. Also can we replace Roland's jump whistle with Bargain's nose whistle?

One thing about the Black Plague was that no one was saying « the worst thing about the Black Plague is that most people who have the Black Plague are asymptotic and go on to spread the Black Plague to their parents and grandparents » ( fun fact, the grandparents were 28 years old). The worst thing about the Black Plague, was that everyone died immediately!

Hey real quick... I'm a big fan... No idea you had a podcast. I almost feel like I've been wronged. I'm gonna go ahead and listen to this every week but I will NOT go back and listen to the old ones... Ok I might listen to the old ones but I will definitely have an attitude about it.

I recently went back to school to do a Master’s degree at 39 years old. We had a midterm exam last week, which honestly, I am not used to anymore, and am not a big fan of. A guy in the class sent out an invite to an online study group for the exam. I thought it would be a good idea to check it out. When I logged into the virtual conference, wouldn’t you know it, but the guy who organized it, was drinking a glass of milk, on screen. He wasn’t even being discrete about it. Honestly, it was a bit off-putting. And I think it was possibly a power move. « Look at me with my quirky drink ». I almost wanted to message the other people there, to ask whether or not they noticed he was drinking milk.

When I was middle school, I thought whenever Red Green would give advice to the "middle aged guys out there" he was talking to me. I was unsure of what to do with advice about gray hairs and a wife that may not agree with my driving habits.

I was gearing up to become incredibly perturbed after Nate asked the average life expectation of the Middle Ages. Then Brandon comes in with a quick and accurate expectation why average life was lower in the past was a catharsis I did not expect to get out of the show. Even very well educated people don’t grasp why the arithmetic average is a misleading number about people’s normal lifetimes in history. Especially when comparing to today. A much better average would be the mode average. Full hearted endorsement of this show’s educational tag.

Absolutely love that you can just talk bull 💩 for over an hour. You have topics, prep enough. You and Kathleen Madigan have awesome Podcasts. She has to set up for her random topics, but the tangents are the best. You two and Heffron & Reep keep me busy during the pandemic. Thanks.
I heard Mr Krispy Kreme is giving away free doughnuts for folks who bring proof of vaccinations. Just a PSA.
