Sibelius is horribly complicated. It's ten times faster just to write the notes by hand. I would return it for a refund but they don't give refunds. I have had Sibelius for almost a year and still can't figure out how to separate the left hand input from the right hand input like you see in NORMAL music. I'm not sure what percentage of composers use keyboard but you would think that a piano score would separate the note inputs to Bass or Treble clef. If you play a note two octaves below middle C the monitor shows the note as if it were on a Treble Clef only. The only positive thing I can say is that the notes look nice. They have plenty of courses and tutorials but you have to pay for them. So expect to pay more than just the price of the software if you ever expect to use it.

I use it and find no hardship. It is extremely simple, only vast. You've got to search, it is difficult for people to adapt, but the result is FAR better. Studios such as Universal use it for their soundtracks. There are forums to help. If you don't want a professional looking score you can always use encore, finale, etc.
