In Sibelius 6 you just change the complete style at once by importing text style. Now you have to do it one by one. What a pain in the A

Great tutorial, but I'm curious about something which is on Your video: bracket which begins in the middle of the system - how is that possible? I hope that is not drawing symbols etc. Thanks.

I don't see the little arrow for Edit Style in my Sibelius 7 First on a Mac? Am I missing something, or perhaps do I need a different edition of Sibelius?

How in the world do i make my Rit/Rall Line text not so huge..? I can edit the "expression" text style, but my expression marks like 'legato' etc will change size as well. I was hoping to create a new style and have it follow the new style.. but it won't allow me to do this...

2:15 - on my Windows 7 and Sibelius 7.5 Tracking option doesn't have any effect. I'm changing its value but no effect taken. Why?

Any ideas on how to put text with erased background on a measure? (erasing the measure lines)?

To apply your styles to existing scores: In the source score, go to Appearance>House Style>Export. Name it something. Then in your destination score, go to Appearance>House Style>Import, and import the House Style you just created.
To create a default score with your settings from the source score, go to File>Export>Manuscript Paper and create a new Manuscript Paper. (you can also create a new score from an existing MP and import a custom House Style during the score creation process)

You're completely correct. I suppose I was thinking of adjusting the angle of text created as lines, which can be done on a per-object basis, but of course a separate line style had to be created for each different text string. Now in Sibelius 7 we have the best of both worlds - per-style and per-object - all without having to use lines!

Excellent training material. Is there any chance you could make your Julliard sessions available as a webcast or archived on your site for people to view at a later time? Very well done...thank you!
