if thats rusty well i'd wonder how good you would be warmed up as that was awesome flying there mate, love the heli it seemed rock solid and way powerful , definitely something i will be taking a closer look into in the near future as i'd like to add a heli in my arsenal of toys lol thanks to Essential RC for another great product review cheers from Andrew Reece.
Thanks Andrew, It's been a while since i have had my hands on the sticks of a Heli, This one is a special little heli that i will have a bit of practice with and we will make another video in a couple of months once i really get to know it. Its certainly a brilliant first heli and even in the "beginner" mode i had the head speed fairly high you can really wind the head speed down so that if the worst did happen damage would be really limited. The great thing with Micro heli's is the damage is much cheaper to fix and also a lot less bits get bent thanks to much less energy in the crash. Certainly one i will be keeping for a long time. Happy Flying :)
How accessible are the servos, main drive etc from a maintenance stand point? One thing I’ve seen with RC heli’s is that it’s not if you crash but when and spending more time on fixing rather than flying is a real killjoy, still, I would love one.
Sounds like the tacking is out. Not saying it is but that's how it sounds. Also the way it levels when you take your thumb off the stick after a cyclic input maybe good as in saves a crash but it does nothing imo to train someone how to fly a RC Heli properly. Going from this to a flybarred Heli they would crash immediately.
I learnt all my skills on the old EF MINI STINGER owned for maybe 3-4 years I still have it fly it every now any again I love it but I took it out in the park it struggled with light wind and at one point the counter weight bar fell off thankfully found it in the grass and put it back on 😪 it’s double bladed to. I’m no expert but decent but I’d really love a mini rc that can fly outside in the wind without major problems but not to expensive or advanced level? Im not a beginner but also not super advanced.
I really want this helicopter it looks amazing in performance and build quality but I wouldn’t say that is for beginners, crashing that heli would be a huge bummer and dangerous, I just got a tiny little blade 70s and I’d say it’s a perfect little flybarless heli to learn on before upgrading to something like this.
Love it! Awesome! That's so cool. I want one, but can't afford right now. Is it very difficult for a beginner to learn to control it in flight? Watching video, it looks like a beginner could lose control. It even looks dangerous and could hurt someone.
Joseph l frazier as long as you leave it in beginner mode it’s fine, most of that was in “idle up” or crazy mode 😝 but you can calm it right down. Will see if I can find a novice heli flyer to have a go and do another video showing both sides 👍🏻
Well, this might be the replacement I decide to get to replace the blade 230 I had, that had major problems, that was repaired, then throttle locked with pitch forward. Walked 20+ miles, though thick woods and briar thickets, never found it.
Also, this one has so much power, a beginner, especially if he/she has no experience with 4-channel controls, will have a hard time with the omphobby copter. It is a nice design though, and the lack of gears that can be stripped, will probably make it more crash resistant. But I would not feel totally comfortable letting a beginner fly it.
@@NorCalDudeBJJ Maybe the blade nano s2 is LESS dangerous, but you're saying it's NOT dangerous? I would suggest that not only is the nano s2 still dangerous, but perhaps that people are far more willing to do risky stuff with a $130 toy than a $500 one. Both will easily blind you if taken to the face, but one commands far more respect.
@@laizalott It's a LOT less dangerous, meaning it won't cut you up if it hits you. Now if you're going to argue that it can blind you, well, just about anything can blind you if it hits you in the eye, including a toy coax that 6 year olds fly with - that's a weak argument.

Build quality good. Flight characteristics good. BUT, you didn't answer what might be THE most important question for beginner pilots: How does it hold up in crashes? Like HARD crashes? I've been flying RC helis for about 8 yrs now (just occasionally, not frequently and not tons of hours), and my absolute biggest barrier to learning faster and progressing further has been the damage caused during crashes. You don't learn jack when you fly conservatively and docilely and keep everything in your comfort zone. You learn when you step OUT of your comfort zone...when you push to your limits and beyond...when you take risks. And you know what happens when you do that? You crash. A LOT. Which is perfectly acceptable...IF your heli can stand it. Make a follow up video showing you crashing this M2 into the ground over and over, at full speed, from different angles and directions, etc....and show that it keeps taking off again without damage. THEN we'll say this is the "BEST FIRST" RC helicopter for beginners. I'd love to know what others think are the most durable (but still capable fliers, and still challenge pilots beyond the basics) RC helicopters out there that will crash and crash and crash with the least amount of damage. I haven't flown a lot of them, but one for sure is the XK K100. I've learned more flying that than ANY of my other helis for all the reasons I cited above. What do the rest of you suggest for learners that is HIGHLY crash-resistant, but flies well enough that it's not hard for beginners to control, and not boring for learners who have progressed down the road a little ways already?
I don't you wil find reviewers who will actually crash their RCs into the ground just to prove how durable they are but my landings on this recent test are about as close as we will get th-cam.com/video/i9H5QtUYC2Q/w-d-xo.html
That thing sounds like a pissed off bee. I still cannot bring myself to give up the flight time with my nitro powered models, but that torque from electric is impressive.
When you setup a 700 class Heli to run say 1800-1850 head speed you'll definitely get as much flight time as a Nitro yet still more power and torque whilst being way more cost effective per flight.

2:30 noisy blades!
Cant exactly compare to a DJI Mavic 2 drone & ithink its harder to pilot as well.
Hello this model can mount a fuselage class 250? Thanks
I did not even know they still made rc helis, thought drones had pretty much killed off the hobby.
It is possible to provide the map SBUS channels AETR, Gear, Pitch, mode for the M2 V2.
I’ve always wondered if some action movies actually use these helicopters on some dangerous scenes.
Nice✨👍🏻
Thanks informative video, I will probably buy one.

@@EssentialRC your more than welcome, excellent videos, well explained etc.
Wow eres un mostró manejando ese pequeño bicho volador
I appreciate your flying as you incorporate scale flight and some 3D. I prefer scale flight due to the fact REAL helicopters can't flip all over the sky when flying. I'm of the opinion if you want to do that kind of flying just buy a drone.
It's pretty expensive though but i Will prefer wltoys v977 as budget
Good tutorial 🤗
