I have the FW200 GPS bird, an in the last 2 years of consistent flying her, I've only ever bent the tail boom which was cheap to replace. What I absolutely LOVE an wish more helis had, is the sacrificial nut on the motor an shaft. I've saved I don't know how much money just replacing that ONE item, rather than the whole head assembly. Best of all, I have an .stl file that let's me 3d print my own!
Thanks for the video. I love RC Helis, but am useless at flying them. I know the traditionist will probably hate these out of the box solutions, but for people like me, they are great. The drop-down canopy to access the battery is great. It used to take me ages to apply the canopy after connecting the battery. Do you think we will see this technology being applied to conventional RC Helis? I'd love a SAB Goblin that I could fly out of the box.
Hi, thank you for providing link of where to buy and informative video. Can I add navigation lights and plug them into one of the ports. Will it cause any issues? I don't want to mess up the GPS function, thank you.
I don’t see why not. Easy to draw power from the flight controller or just direct from the power lead. It wouldn't cause interference. Magnets are the only thing that would do that in my experience
Hi - can youi do me a favour? I crashed my FW450 and now its all back together but the plug under the tail boom came out (RC in) can you tell me if it goes on the left (servo) or right? Thanks
Is it possible to 'reverse' the left throttle stick (even centered) as I am flying my helis with 'pitch up' by pulling the stick and 'pitch down' by pushing up the stick on the remote? Thx Rudi
Question please if anyone knows? I have a brand new 450L V3 not flown yet, I'm not interested in 'auto invert' type things, and the manual says to install tail, blades etc. then get ready to fly, wait until GPS is locked, then fly. It's says nothing about doing a 'compass calibration' before flying it in the manual. Then the last 2 pages, says about unlocking or turning on the 'auto invert' function, and doing a 'compass calibration' It's not clear, but seems to me we don't need to calibrate the compass unless we want to use advances settings like auto invert. Why does the manual tell to set it up & fly, then only mention compass calibration at the end in the auto invert enable section? When new, can we just fly it in GPS & free fly mode without doing a compass calibration? I can do a compass calibration, but reading the manual, it doesn't seem I need to unless I wanted to later unlock the advanced features. Other than the manual, I can't find any info on this, thanks to anyone that can help. In another video, it's different, shows the green light on, then the guy holding the heli turns 360* and if the light stays green, the compass is calibrated, and then OK to fly. That's a lot more simple than downloading software & hooking up to computer.
Bad ESC Canopy needs Cooling FAN ESC runs very hot first less than 8 mins started in flight smoking lucky I did not crash new FW450 3 dose not air cool like the older canopy's are better more air coming in had to replace ESC on first flight good luck in finding the part cant find any where The ESC is V3 is different Than the V2 ESC worth less Heli at over 600.00
Not done it. This was first flight out of the box. My understanding from the manual was that it was not a mandatory step and only needed if experiencing problem. We tried Return to Home in 2nd video and only missed the take off point for 1 metre if that so I'm not inclined to do any calibration.

Thats awesome
Looked crazy on film with the blades motionless. Looked like it was hanging from a string. Pretty cool features.
VERY IMPRESSED WITH THIS HELI THANKS FOR SHARING JASON AND THANKS FOR FILMING DOM 🇬🇧👍🏼
Glad you enjoyed it Mike
One word....very nice
That’s two words tho.
@@PrettyFLY4aWiFi. oh ya,... that right hahaha
Excellent commentary
We had the wireless microphones actually working this time. They are amazing for windy conditions like that.
Thanks for the video.

2 more vids coming including auto invert!
@@EssentialRC Thank you. Looking forward to those 👍
Enjoy the videos. To you need to program the compass calibration using a computer like the version 2.5 requires before you fly?
Nope. No calibration. We just flew it.

O que impressiona e o medo dele do helicoptero
Is this a safe buy, Extra duty and Vat to pay? How long delivery time
You import anything these days it will incur VAT unless the declared value is very low
What a great Heli 👍 where can I buy it? I know you linked the info in the video but I didn't see a buy now option. Thx
Heli can do inverted flight in GPS mode and can do figure of eight in an inverted mode.
Yes, inverted in GPS mode but only after software change to allow it. Did not know it would do figure 8 inverted. Will try that ! Thanks
What protocal does the tx use? If sfhss assume i cud bind other heli brands? Keep up the great vids!
It's a FlySky FS-iA6B 6 channel rx
damn nice
Any idea what the dials on the front either side of the transmitter are for?
Fairly sure they are not setup to do anything for this heli.

BTW, great vid which triggert me to join the klckstarter...🙂
I'll connect it up soon to the configurator and let you know. I'm doubtful.

No compass calibration needed. I only did it later after uploading the firmware on the flight controller. Just charge yours up and go fly it.

Hi .can u used v2 Radio on the v3. thanks
No idea. Ask Fly Wing
@Essential RC I did they said they had the same programs Helicopters won't be in stock to April
Heli looks odd
Too bad it doesn't look as well as it flies.
Typical sport heli fuselage. Apparently there are some scale fuselages coming out for it very soon. There is an Airwolf fuselage available now.
Did you have to calibrate at the field?
How often do you calibrate the GPS?.

@EssentialRC Thanks for the reply .
So they literally brought back switched inverted from 40 years ago, lmfao.
This helicopter is very dangerous to fly
Nope
@@EssentialRCwell, no more than any other large helicopter 😊
