わ～😂お❗one of things I definitely love been in states is in Christmas 🎄 and having real Christmas tree 🎄 my family did that only twice in 32 years of marriage. You can't get that in Japan. We couldn't do that ofcause because the fresh tree is so expensive 😢and snow to goes with it. I'm from Okinawa so I didn't experience snow until we move to Washington ( because my husband was in airforce) and moved to 青森. We lives in California so we don't get snow but the smell of Christmas is the real Reese and tree. And eating KFC is new thing in Japan though. I was born in 1970 but while we are growing up we didn't have chicken for Christmas. But we had Christmas cake in school lunch ( ２学期の最後の給食には必ずショートケーキとサンタクロースの飾りが乗ってました)クリスマスと学校の２学期が終了するのは、なんの関係もないはずなのに🎉おかしな日本の、誰もがしっている事の１つです。 ところでお二人、アルコール依存性になる心配はなさらないのですか😅毎回、一本は必ずお酒を開けていますけれど。そして、おつまみ無しで呑めるのも凄いですね。日本人なら、奥さんに「お～い、なんかつまみないの」と。そして言った本人がつまみ出される事になるかも（もし、それがオンエアになったら）...hahaha お体には、くれぐれもお気をつけて🙇♀️🎄🎅
I thought it’s Jesus birthday, so they eat Jesus birthday (Christmas) cake 🎂 🎉. (I’m in theater profession, so is this a made up story?) It’s so interesting that people put boots outside in Germany! Maybe that’s where socks on the chimney traditions came from. The US is good at making ‘feel good’ Christmas movies (And its modern versions) though it’s kind of educating people subconsciously what’s considered good or not good (both in good ways and bad ways)😅
Average Japanese think Christmas is the day when Santa Claus comes for presents. Average American think Christmas is the day when Jesus was born. That is how the day called Christ-mas. Japanese: Huh? ah, because they put presents under the tree. The tree was Kuri (chestnut). There are many Chestnut trees, then it became "Kuris". What is "Masu"? I don't know. Ask your mom!
