I was in NY before the pandemic and now live in Seattle, Austin's hometown! After living in both places, I think that the West Coast feels more like humanity.
Especially in Seattle, there are many mountains and lakes, so you can slow down and enjoy life!
But when I get old, I will go back to Japan because I am afraid of the medical costs in the U.S😅

Wow, this topic is super interesting personally for the first time in a while!!
( first of all, all your topics and videos are interesting😊.) I’ve talked to so so many Americans through Hello Talk, but I don’t really hear about their deep thoughts about each states in the US. (I hear some, though.)
So what you two are talking in this video is super interesting to me! Thank you for sharing!!

Hey, what's up fellas? Your show is insanely good! Before I thought of you two guys, I was watching Sam Altman's interview at Stanford and it was really interesting to watch. And he speaks really clearly with the accent that's easy to listen to and I started shadowing everything he said. I just felt smart saying things what a smart person say. I don't usually put much effort in English practice these days but since my English is not that great, and since I was under the influence a little bit, I thought to myself, what the heck, I'm all in tonight and Im'ma get the best out of this viewing experience.
Then I kept on going and I shadowed EVERYTHING you said on this show. It was a fun experience talking exactly like you two. I played it at x1.25 speed and there were like 4,5 parts where I couldn't catch the words and I put the caption on. And of course I had to rewind it many times to follow what you were saying. This is not my first video I watched from this channel but I'm not regular either. I've noticed that you weren't drinking as much as you were on other episodes I watched. Have you talked about Drugs and Alcohols on this channel before? It don't need to be all dark, painful and gloomy, I'm just curious and I'm sure your intelligent brains can handle any sort of topics. And what, what or why does Arthur look into the camera like that? Is that "I love you" to his wife?
Alright, what else am I talking about here? It was just intense 40 mins for me. I was already struggling hard at 5 mins in. "Mr. Boke", it's much more friendly than Baka or Ahou. Ueno, I'd like to say neither of you got it right. Ueno is also _Bueno_, I ain't hating on anyone for things that's hard to pronounce to begin with if you're not Japanese. It's been a while since the last time I was here and I really think I picked the right topic. I like America for the most part because without the two A-bombs and the new constitution which set up the basic structure of democratic government, I may have less understandings of my place in this society.
It turned out the exactly the way I was expecting it to turn out and some more. I know the names of cities and states you mentioned but I'm still bad at placing it at the correct geographical locations on the US map. The background history of Seattle and you named another state whose name escapes me right now were something I really appreciate in your A & A show hear on this TH-cam channel. Another interesting point was, just as you said you were gonna talk about in the beginning, what people in different states view people and culture of another states. I had no preconceived ideas about what people are like maybe except folks in New England area.
Ah, yeah, well,,,, Portlandia. It's really old but I remember what the show was about and that's what I imagine a Portland be like. The sad thing about it though is that the city is also known for big homeless population. Austin's talk about the sentiment of Californians about Texas was something I also found interesting. I've known few celebrities moving from CA to Texas because of the high tax rate and maybe the hate for Newsome in the blue state and Elon Musk has a gigafactory there and he seems to like Texas alright. When Austin started to talk about Republicans in CA, I didn't know it was like that. Is Orange country one of them? I just remember watching Miss Coulter's talk at Nixon library and this makes me recall the part where Arthur mentioned Worcester MA. wu·stuh, not everyone knows how to pronounce it. It's so MAGA, guess you learn something new everyday.
Thanks for another interesting episode. I kinda have a request if you don't mind. I can't afford any paid lessons from your business and maybe I'm just a cheapskate. Anyhoo, is it too much to ask for us free viewers(freeloaders) to take a peek at those practice questions?
_"The feeling of being interested can act as a kind of neurological signal, directing us to fruitful areas of inquiry."_
    - B. F. Skinner
It's just an idea, you know. This show provides tons of fun and the desire for more knowledge should be the main driver and motive for their English learning experience. You can help all the language learners with your kind heart by reinforcing their good habits.
_"Bees(flys) are more attracted to honey than vinegar."_
(There's nothing vinegar or acidic about this episode. I mean nothing by it.)
“Our treasure lies in the beehives of our knowledge. We are perpetually on our way thither, being by nature winged insects and honey gatherers of the mind. The only thing that lies close to our heart is the desire to bring something home to the hive.”
― Friedrich Nietzsche, On the Genealogy of Morals
Picture those lovely bee friends gathering and buzzing around this channel. Butterfly's another important two winged friends symbolically, right? By the way, the outro sounded like another topic I'd be interested in. What about music, art, poetry, and possibly science related subjects for future episodes? My life goal is to have broader interests and knowledge in all things human, so I'm usually drawn to non-Japanese related subject. You two are for the lack of better words, based. I'm just too critical and difficult when it comes to my own culture and its people. I'm completely sobered up by now and it's time to hit the sack for me. I'll catch you on the next random episode. Till the next time.

California has always been about Hollywood and since NY is like the mecca of tourist destination, I'd assume many Japanese think of the East coast too. If you're into Hip-Hop then, again there always has been some rivalry between the East coast and the West coast. Nakatomi Plaza was located in LA and many of Woody Allen films were shot in NY city. Don Corleone was depicted as the boss of a NY mafia family. Do you remember The Sopranos? That was in Jersey. You can find so many interesting stuff on TH-cam, I once binge watched videos about the host just doing interesting interviews with local people and one of the videos was of course about Amish community. They may drive a car and have cell phones but no internet. It's kinda amazing how wealthy they are with all that land and of course with their spiritual peace. There seem to be so many differences across the states and cities, and if it were safe to travel like Japan, it'd be an ideal place to live and travel. I'm getting the feeling that Arthur traveled the US quite extensively and I'd love to hear more about it.

Thank you for the interesting TH-cam, Austin and Arthur!! I haven't listened to all of it, but I enjoyed it and got surprised to know the big difference among states. Looking forward to the next one.

When I think of the East vs West Coast of the States, it would be Harvard & MIT vs Stanford & Caltech.

    アメリカは広いですからね
    日本から見たら、アメリカといえば一つの国としてみなしていますが
    アメリカの人はwhere are you from?

I'm not familiar with those states. Nevada is known for Vegas and Reno which people say it sucks. Idaho, I don't know where that is but known for potato. Minnesota is not a big state and people there don't dress all that fancy. Could you explain what you meant by 'busted'?
