Veteran LEO here. I’ll save my comments on the numerous violations of this man’s constitutional rights and just encourage those who are also outraged to do something tangible to support Mike. I’ll head over to Fieldcraft Survival now to purchase something whether I need it or not. Mike deserves the moral and practical support.

This is definitely the issue. As to how to make the necessary changes, there are many different ideas; I’ve heard most of them and have voiced my own opinions. My thought here in this particular incident is simply to help a brother victimized by a broken and corrupt system. The debates as to how to change the system will continue.

This is hard to watch. I’m basically going through the same thing. My daughter is 2 years old, she was 20mo at the time. Wife had a post pardon episode. I spend the night in jail. Next day wife recants. 1 month later they take our children on April 1st. 2 months later my charges are dismissed. 3.5 months later and we just got our 14yr old twins back with our 10yr old son and 2 yr old daughter still in kinship care. This is the hardest thing I have ever been through in my life and that says a lot. I don’t know what my wife and I would’ve done without being able to support each other. Thank God there was no protective order. I really feel for you Mike, for your not being able to have contact with your wife for so long and be able to support each other.
I will keep your family in my prayers. Something must be done about this corrupt system.

I have 3 kids and a wife. Post partam depression or “baby blues” is a very real problem. My wife didn’t quite have “depression” but she definitely had baby blues. She was anxious and nervous and paranoid all the time. Worried about various things that were completely illogical.
that lasted.. 2-3 months and it just stopped randomly and all her fears and paranoia just went away. Her hormones were up and down, emotions going up and down all that stuff.
Now she’s literally perfectly balanced. Not on any meds.

As a woman, with a past of dating a couple really unstable and sometimes scary dudes in possessive, tumultuous relationships... there was never a single day that the thought even entered my mind to call the cops. (Granted, none ever laid a hand on me- but threatening my pet's life verbally, wall punching, their own spiteful phone smashing, etc....he's actually a GB now, lol. 😅) Maybe I'm just old school Gen X from NYC and have this ingrained idea of only calling the cops if it were an extreme emergency, lol. But still- never a thought. Not out of spite. Not to win a fight. None of that. I avoid them, but I have known a couple of women who are the type to use law enforcement or other forms of authority in a vindictive way and it turns my stomach. Definitely a huge red flag, even if someone has mental health issues. Hell, I've had a couple BPD exes. It's no fun and no excuse when it starts affecting one's life in such potentially permanent ways- especially their children's lives. That calls for heavy evaluation.

I'm guessing Mike won't see this, but if I was his friend the best advice I could offer him would be to seriously consider his relationship with Jess. I know the police fucked this up. But none of this happens if she was conducting herself in a reasonable manner, especially the fact she got the police involved. Ofcourse she may not be 100% mentally right now but sometimes love or even the fact someone is a parent to your children is not worth the gamble of sinking your own ship. I can only hope someone has had this conversion with him. I wish him all the best.

Mike, when I was 10 my sister who was a nurse in the Navy was very brutally murdered at a gas station 9 miles from our house. It was very publicized, and we had news crews that camped out in front of our house for weeks. The trial took a year to finally be over, we were at the courthouse at least once a week with our parents because they didn't want us to be alone and they didn't trust hardly anyone at that point. A few days before the last part of the trial one of the bailiffs at the courthouse that we talked to a lot, told me that "occasionally there's justice, but usually it's just us" It's been almost 40 years since she was killed and I very rarely see any justice when it comes to our court system. The system is corrupt and money is the only thing that they care about. Good luck getting through this. At the end of the day it really is just us.

Sadly, Mike, our country neither appreciates their soldiers nor does much to help us. The legal system sees us as a threat for the skills we have. DCFS always has a hard time placing kids from crack houses but when they find well adjusted kids they are easier to place and helps the DCFS improve their statistical outcomes. I walked that fine line once and the answer is to find an Ombudsman who will look at this case. My situation was living in a house that was contaminated with lead paint. I moved to a different part of the state and they still fought to try and take my child. They lost.
I know you will never give up on your family. You have great friends. (I haven't bought enough BRCC for Evan to come bail me out) In time this will pass. Seek out what you need.

As a combat vet I can 100% vouch for this. I had honorably discharged back in 2012. Ended up crossing hairs with the judicial system 2 weeks after arriving back to my birth town in southern WV. I won’t get into details but my case should have 1000% been a misdemeanor and I was willing to plead to a misdemeanor and even go to jail if they wanted me to. They absolutely refused and demanded the felony conviction over the most petty bullshit that did not involve any violence and no sex nor domestic etc. I should have went to trial but they told me if I go to trial and found guilty they will give me more time than if I just plead to the felony. Well I go and look up how many trials I’m this specific area are found guilty? It was like 98% So i was like well damn even tho I know what I did was not and should not have been a felony what choice do I have? I even tried this drug court program where I was the only one in there who ever even worked for a living and should have never even been put in there. They intentionally sabotaged me and demanded I do shit they knew I was not physically capable of doing I’m a disabled veteran with serious back issues and they knew this when I signed up. I wasted 9 excruciating months of my life doing that shit all for nothing. They wanted that felony charge to disarm me is what it is. @@OG-Ghost33 I'm not a veteran, yet I emphasize with your experience. The judicial system is a mess and I'm having to deal with it again, due to my ex of a 30y marriage that never pays my alimony on time (deliberately), allows his GF (whom he moved in 5 mo. on the same farm where we lived, allowed her to forge checks on OUR joint account, not to mention the family farm corporation account. First time I filed on him for contempt (he was 2 months late, even missing a month previously- the judge refused to LOOK at the dates of the payments and dismissed the case. Now I'm building a hopefully rock solid case against him AND his karma is biting him in the ass- since his last parent passed this year, he and his siblings are all fighting over the family farm, an "outside" attorney had to be appointed as executor and I have solid reason to believe all his financial AND his sisters financial manipulation over their aging mother who had dementia is being investigated. Believe me when I say it's not only MEN who get thrown under the bus, I was thrown under a few and I did NOTHING other than expose a financial institution and the fact they hid almost half a mil in loans he was borrowing from me. Yes, he and that rotten bank literally threw me out in the street. I was 65 and had NO where to go because he lied to both his attorneys to get me forced out of my home. He told each lawyer I was living on one farm (which I did not) and the other that I was in the house we both owned and he had a home that I paid (made sure was paid) for 25 years 2x a month and paid off. Total scumbag, but what goes around, comes around and I'm hearing interesting things these days.

It did wonders for his PTSD and his trust in the VA.

In 2017, two years after moving to Ft Lauderdale, I got pulled over by the police. Unlike you, I was responsible for all the punishment I ever received so I assumed it was something I'd forgotten about but that was still within the statute of limitations. The officers were very courteous but informed me that I had a warrant from 1988. The warrant stated that a man with my name fled from Broward County Sherriff deputies on the intercoastal in a speedboat. Fighting back a grin, I informed that officers that I was only three years old in 1988. I know they were embarrassed for the oversight but we all shared a laugh and they sent me on my way. Your positive attitude and work ethic has inspired me to continue to improve my life in increments, so of course I'd like to thank you.

Those who have and still support Fieldcraft, will continue to do so. I’ll continue to support Fieldcraft because a lot of the products/information are extremely useful and still hold value. This will be a cloud unfortunately that follows Mike and will be brought up by the haters over and over again but being able to manage those haters and how it affects him will be the harder challenge.

All due respect and sympathy to Glover and respect to his military service and personal accomplishments. Having said that:
When this happens to a person with no savings and no network, they're just screwed. Like when an ex-wife tries to play the R card 3 years after separation. Like when a vet loses custody of children because they chose cannabis therapy over opioids. It happens every day. And the cases getting dismissed has to do with the person involved having MONEY to afford an attorney. And Mike's spouse backing off the charge is working to his advantage. If she rode it out Mike would be neck deep in this for years.

Mike Glover is the epitome of a warrior, on top of that as a green beret way abobve average intelligence. Any " advice" shared on this he will have already thought of. He doesn't need our 2 pence worth. Thankfully his good pal Andy has got a legitimate platform for Mike to convey, uninterupted or manipulated his recollection of events and that is a rare gift which I'm sure he has earned. It also highlights a group of police officers who are clearly envious of Mikes skills and attitude. So rather than absorb and learn from him they rally together like high school bullies, this is a crystal clear example of poorly selected individuals that roam the streets with a badge, a gun and inferiority issues. It's terrible Mike is going through this and the stress it's causing but hopefully in some way his code will empower the next person being hounded by the police to stand and fight with their brain. It would be priceless to see one of these cops bump into Mike far away from his buddies and watch him crumble. That kind of karma is justice, all bullies are weak and scared and that makes them very dangerous, in the most pathetic and cringeworthy way. All the best Mike!!

The lesson here no one wants to talk about is that Mike's first and cardinal error was is selection process of women. Even if her now new description of events is 100% accurate, the damage is done, and that parade of red flags has been waving since they met. Men- make good choices of women, because this is what happens when you dont.

Thank you Andy for putting this together for your friend. I had a similar circumstance happen and I am so thankful it ended up " ok" but yes "they" also said do this or else we will make you pay with your kids. The entire incident that triggered it was totally misinterpreted. My wife who I am still with 18 years later was later diagnosed with bipolar and the incident was me attempting to deal with my wife who was NOT WELL. I'm thankful today that she has gotten help and there is hope after mental health issues come up. But when it comes to DV the man is always guilty of the very worse until the proof is given and obvious. I truly almost lost my children over the fact that my wife was not well and I was trying to cope with something I had no idea how to deal with.

Mike - I wish I could say I'm surprised about your issues with DCFS. I did a 6 month internship with child protection and the amount of corruption and dishonesty I witnessed was astounding. NO ONE in law enforcement or child services is your friend when you're suspected of a crime, yet so many people wrongly believe the system can't hurt you if you're innocent. It is the suspect and not the officer that decides whether force will be used by resisting or attempting to flee.
What you're saying is that officers should not receive any training from anyone because it could be misused. Just give them guns and emergency vehicles and let them roll. I started my LE career when that was done. Sworn in, given badge and an assignment and eventually (after months on the job) sent to a state academy for several weeks. My husband and I have been through similar things twice now in the 11 years we have been together . He was a cop and is no longer because of a judicial system in Portland, OR which is entirely corrupt. Corrupt people were allowed to destroy his life, and unfortunately in this area of the country, even fighting back legally is met with a corrupt system which will not allow for justice for us. He is the best of men, and a veteran, and much like Mike he was given zero benefit of any doubt. So much support for Mike.

It takes a lot of inner strength, persistence, and optimism to make it out the other side, even when you know you have truth on your side. Having an attorney is a must, but they haven't lived the day to day of what the prosecution feels like. If you want to know the ins and outs of DCFS and what to expect and not fall into despair it's good to talk to someone else that's lived this unjust experience.

I've never seen ANYTHING to make me think he would be abusive to his spouse and really don't believe he did even though I've never met him. I also believe nobody around him would tolerate him doing that any more than Andy would when he said he'd kick his a$$. Accountability is something that is still held up by most men.
