Race 2, reverse grid handicap at Taupo Motorsport Park, 27th Nov 2023 with Daihatsu Challenge NZ and Production Race Series
Started on the second flag drop in 10th position. Got a cracker of a start and pushed my way forward as far as I could to the first flag drop bunch before the faster cars hit us and created traffic. I made my way through most of the front group and started chasing down Patrick in the M300 while Steve in the red Copen made a run for it. With Justin hot on my tail, I put my head down for the next few laps of the short 6 lap sprint and managed to make my way around Patrick with some good fortune as lap traffic opened up a gap.
Unfortunately this race was cut short due to a fire in a VW Golf and the race was finished in 2nd position under red flag

Didn't look like a very fair reverse grid for you...passed by heaps.

we aren't really racing against the faster cars so the handicapping doesn't matter. To be honest, the sooner they pass us, the safer it is, because later in the race it becomes a much larger group trying to push through
