Race 1, Round 2, Hampton Downs Daihatsu Challenge NZ 28 October 2023

Race 1 of round 2 at Hampton Downs race track with Daihatsu Challenge NZ was one action packed race!
Starting last on the grid after not recording a time in qualifying, it was game on for me to try and muscle my way to the front. After a good launch at the start and some good fortune for me (not so much for Sam crashing out in the Sirion and Steve losing a gearbox filler bolt from his Copen gearbox, leaving him limping home), I managed to get close to Justin who was leading the Daihatsu's but not enough to contend.
Finished 2nd in class in this one and set the fastest lap for the series so far at this circuit with a 1m26.7

Close call at 1:04 !!! Looks like a ball of fun, especially with the extra power of the K3 👍

haha yes, a couple of puckering moments on lap 1! but all part of the fun :D
