Thanks for watching! Let me know if you have any questions!!🤙🏼
I think the weird focal lengths are purposeful to the equivalent full-frame.
So a 21mm on a super 35mm sensor would be equivalent to 35mm, a 31mm would be like a 50mm, and a 43mm would be like 85mm.
Great video detailing the pros and cons! I have the set too (found your video through the FB group) and they really are the perfect combo of vintage look with modern mechanics and lack of chromatic aberration. Can't wait for that 21mm!
Thanks so much! And yes, so stoked for the 21!!🤟
I have the set. Love this video, glad you’re enjoying them man. I love mine, so very good.
Nice!! And thanks! They’re probably some of my favorite lenses ever!
I'm just missing the 21mm. I Love these lenses on my BMCC 6k Full Frame
I have the set as well and also waiting on the 21mm. I use them on the BM6KFF for narrative work. Absolutely love them!
Nice!! The more I use these lenses, the more I love them!
I’d definitely use these lenses! Might be a good kit to get me into the world of cinema lenses.
heck yeah! Couldn't recommend them enough!
amazing kit, and amazing shots too, most of the shots were on 31mm? In which scenarios do you use the other 3?
I really like how do you mix with different cameras, I really like the Ember shots too.
Thanks so much! Most of the shots were on the 31mm, yes. I use the 85mm for all the tighter and detail shots. The 21mm hasn’t shipped yet, but when it does, I’ll trade the 31mm for the 43mm to have a nicely balanced 3 lens set 🤘🏼
Hey buddy! Question here from a C70 shooter wanting to get a set of these, do you use these with a regular RF-EF adapter or with the 0.71X RF to EF speed booster adapter? and is it possible to use with the speed booster? Thanks a lot!
Hey hey! I’ve used both adapters. The talking head was actually shot with the canon speed booster. The only issue would be that the new 21mm sticks out a bit in the back and probably can’t be paired with the speed booster. Should be fine with the regular adapter though.
Good review. I'd say the biggest con is how easily they get vailing glare, but it's not a dealbreaker for me.
I love the flare and apo design of these lenses, but they have obvious focus breathing which I don't prefer as i use rack focus to seemlessly change the subject, thus i prefer Nisi athena set more
I’ll have to check those out too!🤙🏼
This Lens 85mm and 31mm I can use on bmpcc 6k g2?
For sure. You’ll either have to get a PL adapter or get the lenses with the optional EF mount though.
The Dulens APO mini primes are advertised as vintage with some halation. However, I've never heard halation used to refer to a lens quality, only the film effect. Is it refering to the bloom around light sources? Have you found the halation look on the Dulens to be similar to a black mist filter? I ask because I really like the footage ive seen so far, but dont want to be locked into the black mist filter look.
Yes, the halation would be similar to a black mist in some regard, but it’s definitely not too strong or over powering. I still use a Black satin filter with my lenses.
