Hi, im wondering. I have the Red Komodo X and im looking for some new lenses. What Lens would u prefer? The Laowa Zoom or the DzoFilm Zoom Im looking for a good run and gun zoom with some softness. Im very happy if u can answer this question. I hope u all have a nice day.
The dzo are awesome lenses. Shot on them and quite enjoyed it, but both the weight and green shift of them make me personally want to go with the laowa lite. I'm currently trying to get the latter for a trial run.
Unless you need it to be light for a reason, a good example would be like mounting on a car rig etc. then I'd save the money and get the normal version 🙌🏼
Hi, i'm looking for that kind of possibility. I ,work witha 20 mm full frame rokinon. But i'd like to have zoom possibility .if you think full frame what are the equivalence like the 11-18 is what in full frame? same for the other 2. Thanks for the video
Did you have any issues mounting this to a Black Magic pocket? I keep seeing people leaving bad reviews for the lens due to a protruding EF mount that doesnt fit right. Same with the PL.
I have not tested it on a Pocket (I have tested it on the BMCC 6K), so I cannot say for certain, but it worked fine for all the cameras I have used with PL adapters. However, I know you cannot adapt EF to PL with adapters, so there may be an issue there with the EF or older non-mirrorless cameras.
These look like a fantastic option for S35 shooters. Unfortunately I’ve made the switch to full frame open gate for most of the projects I tackle, so I’m hoping NiSi will have full frame compact zooms sometime relatively soon. Fingers crossed.
Hey man, great video as always. You and many other TH-camrs always talk about how many people are watching versus who’s subscribed. That’s not because people don’t want to subscribe, it’s because they’re watching TH-cam through a web browser and either don’t have a TH-cam account or choose not to login. You can’t subscribe without being logged into an account.
techniacaly i've been watching him on my phone and laptop with my youtube account for some time and never subsribed until today. not intentionally, but i do see subscribing as a comittment. That i vibe with most of the content this person puts out (and will wacth them) and it's not just a one time watch for me, like a specific tutorial of some kind. And i was just able to make that decision today. some people do it from one piece of content others do it from a series of content. But yea, the web browser thing is also valid, they're just a bunch of other factors too in additon to that
They're well over a pound heavier and cost an extra thousand dollars. Both sets of Rangers look incredible and obviously the full frame is more ideal in general, but for those on a budget where weight is a big concern, the S35 versions look like the best choice
Whats your your thoughts on budget full frame zooms? I'm debating between the ranger full frame and the dzo catta ace.
I'm a fan of the classic s35 size. How would you compare these to the Fujinon MK zooms?

Hey what did you decide on, I’m on the same boat but the dzo just went on sale so its looking more enticing lol
@@Ayoerinle Hi, i picked the Laowa Ranger S35 17-50mm Zoom. I dont know yet how it looks, i just ordered it.
@ I just received mine yesterday! I can confirm it is really amazing

Great review, you think the Lite is even necessary with this main copy being so light already. Thoughts? Thank you,

Can you give more detail about that awkward lens flare at the 9:13 mark?

I subscribe to people I like---that would be to people such as Mr. OBP.
Looks like a cool set!
How did you find the grain on the bm full frame with the super 35 crop mode?
Does the amazing e stabilizing on the s5 II also work as well with S35 lenses I was wondering. Thanks : )
Yes it does!
the link published by you to their website is not the right one to the cine lenses ;)
Why not just buy a full frame version and then you have two lenses (when switching to s35 mode) for less $?

super nice video! very inforamtive and high quality made. Subscribed for more :)
Thanks for the sub!
How much does it cost? If it’s $3k like the full frame version, it’s a little bit less of a deal
$1999 each for standard
$2499 each for lite
$5700 for standard 3 lens bundle
$7200 for lite 3 lens bundle
Subscribed.
