- Looking for the best electric trailer brake controller for a Jeep Gladiator? We'll show you how you can install the market leading REDARC brake controller into your Gladiator yourself in this step by step install video.
REDARC offers two brake controller models in North America, the Tow-Pro Elite which features proportional and user controlled modes, and the proportional only model the Tow-Pro Liberty. Both provide discreet dash-mounted looks, away from driver knees and airbags, ensuring it is easy to reach for maximum on-road safety at the turn of a dial.

If I wanted to get rid of my 12 volt plug, I'd buy the Mopar one. Every install I've seen shows the unit mounted elsewhere to keep the 12 volt outlet. Time to redo this video. I was just getting ready to hit the purchase button!
My jeep has the Mopar brake controller option on with the Taser mini. Do I need to turn off that option if I’m installing the Redarc controller?
I can’t seem to find the “mopar trailer brake plug” on my 2022 Gladiator Rubicon. What gives?
Hi Matt, thanks for your comment. Normally the connector is up under the steering column or kick panel area of the vehicle - if you are unable to locate it, it might be worth getting in touch with Jeep directly to see if there is a different location.
My 2021 JTR controller plug was taped up to another cable with electrical tape. It's next to a metal bar piece that runs along the side wall & follow that up under the dash. I found it with the help of another video who was installing the Mopar brake controller.
Love how you just skip over the removal of the 12v plug itself. Real helpful. Not.
