Thanks for watching! For a vehicle without a tow package, we would recommend having a look at the installation instructions in the Tow-Pro manual here - cdn.intelligencebank.com/au/share/yE9N/zJpl/n8LE6/original/EBRH-ACCNA+Manual+English. In this case, we would also recommend using an Encapsulated Protection Device - www.redarcelectronics.com/us/electric-brake-controller/encapsulated-power-diode
I have a 2024 Wrangler Rubicon X, I can't find the trailer brake plug under the dash to connect to my brake controller at location you show. I ordered the cable from Redarc that is made for Jeep so I can just plug it in from the controller to the Jeep. Any help would be greatly appreciated?
Thanks for watching! Providing you purchased the TPH-022 for your vehicle it would just be a plug and play exercise. Normally the plug will be near the foot break however REDARC does not have a listing for your specific cars plug location.
@@REDARCElectronics Absolutely! We have been running the REDARC Tow-Pro for 3 years on 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon towing several types of adventure trailers and it has been flawless. There is defiantly a peace of mind when the trailer behaves how you need it to.
The install was not nearly as easy and certainly not 30 minutes!! Still haven’t found the plug for my trailer brake under the dash in my 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited. Gave up after 3 hours of searching and trying to find info online. 😭
Hi Brianna, thanks for your comment. Indeed the installation shown will be ideal for a Jeep Wrangler; the only changes might be if you had a different Jeep model (Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, Gladiator etc). In that case, it may require a different harness to patch into the vehicle. If needing, we have vehicle suitability information on our website - put in your year, model and make of vehicle into the search there and it will recommend what you need.
This is an awesome video. However how would you install this in a 2018 Wrangler that DID NOT come with the tow package?

You didn't show hooking up the wires under the dash to the actual jeeps wiring harness.
There is an unused plug that is hanging under the dash that the harness connect to.

Did you figure it out?
@@patrickduffyleg9170 yes, it was stuck between the speaker and bar in front of it.
Awesome install video. Easy to follow and looks like a quick install. And great action shots at the end.
Thank you for watching, and for your interest in REDARC gear. We hope we can be a part of your adventures for a long time into the future :)

Damn near impossible to get the 12 volt plug out!! Not easy. Still fighting with it!!!
Great video instructions were perfect
I ended up literally destroying mine to get it out. It was a mess!

You need to have the factory tow package included with your jeep. The package includes that plug dangling under the dash that the harness connects to.
Is the installation the same for the wrangler?
