How simple are you? All Agadmator does is have stockfish analyze whatever game he feels like uploading to TH-cam and then he just takes on the human persona of Stockfish and rambles about the game. Listen to how he talks. He constantly mixes up which side is to move and doesn't even know what a good move is unless the engine suggested it to him. How he got so many subs to his channel is beyond me. He's not even IM level. I watched a game where he played against one of Magnus's friends and Magnus moved the pieces while his student told him what to move. Magnus's student destroyed Agadmator so simply it wasn't even worth watching the game. I've played Antonio on Lichess a few times and he knows simple openings but that's it. No middle game strats whatsoever and his endgame is terrible because he doesn't know how to play the middle game. That's cool though you can be a fanboy if you like I won't judge
started getting into chess about a month ago and this is the first video i could actually spot all the "killer" moves with the video paused, i feel accomplished
Chuky usually looks very confident such that even when he makes a blunder he looks like he just pulled a crushing move. That's probably why Magnus was confused and didn't find the winning move.
I've been obsessing over the last phase of this match all night and morning. I'm not a master and I could be wrong, but not playing white rook to F8 does not look like a blunder. Black king to H7 strongly defends against that attack. In every scenario I played there if Magnus continued the attack I could not find a combo where he wouldn't loose the rook and possibly trade queens with no checkmate. The only winning attack I could see with the time left is rook to F7 and queen to anywhere on row 7 to its left. It feels like such an obvious play that I am suspicious there was a black move that I do not see yet. The only mistake I saw at the end was leaving D7 undefended. I'm not sure if he didn't see it or gambled for the win since they were getting low on time. Either way it was a very beautiful game. Thank you for the channel and commentary.
I don't completly understand what you're saying after your Rf8-Kh7 Idea but after that White can simply play Rf7, pinning the Queen to the King with the Rook
I'm also a bit confused... in the case Rf7 is played, cant black just play Re4 to eyeing the white queen, forcing Qd7, going into a draw? And if Rf8 is played it is pretty much the same, black will lose the queen, but white cannot checkmate. Used an engine to double check, and sees it as a draw. Maybe magnus thought he had a winning chance and already saw that the Rf7/8 line was a draw?
This was a very suspenseful game. First Magnus was winning. Then Magnus blunders. Then Magnus is winning again. Then he blunders again. Now Ivanchuk is winning.
I love watching your videos! you are a great commentator and have a deep understanding of chess! All of which, make watching your videos very exciting!
Thanks for this compelling presentation. Like many others I'm pleased to have spotted the move Carlsen should have made and the one at the end that Ivanchuk did make. Neither difficult to find.
What a beautil game! How come I've never come across it? Thanks Agad. Didn't even bother me that I watched it on Friday eve two years ish after the release :)
#suggestion I read an article about this new engine that combines a neural network with a brute force engine, it's called stockfish nnue and it would be nice to see it in action
Great game. I've read many comments of Magnus missing the "obvious" move. But, let us recall two things: 1- OTB is very different than on analysis and 2- Probably he was in midst of a time trouble scramble. The thing is, rapid games such as this can be very dangerous when the major pieces are on the board, because there are mating threats all over the place. Probably Magnus didn't went all in with the rook on f8 because he was concerned with a possible counter attack of Chucky with the Queen and the Rook. Of course, such counter-attack was impossible, because the Queen on e8 was covering d7. There are many factors for these oversights, in particular, in blitz, you are reacting, and there is no time for analysis. Once Magnus missed Rf8!, I think it's not at all surprising that he missed it again, because he just wasn't even considering such move in the first place. Thanks to Antonio for the analysis. A great game, Chucky is always a great fighter. We should call him: "Vasyl, the Giant Slayer".
Just throwing this out there. Ivanchuk has a book of 100 selected games. Its wonderful to study and i recommend it. Shamelss plug, but Chucky is one of my favorites.
I was a little stunned like I was entering some alternative reality. The champ shoudnt miss such tactics especially twice, he is human after all, still a great champ.
@@nirolf12 9/10 times a GM "blunders" is a trap to lure the opponent in. When you are low on time like those gentlemen you rarely have time to proper analyse the game. So they often disregard obvious mates because they think that those are traps.

Also this quote of Tall is very good for this game! Thx Agadmator for your work and for correct pronunciation of "Ivanchuk" and "Alekhine", u only 1 in chess!
Everyone makes mistakes when there is time pressure . But the great players hardly do that. Such was the case with Magnus . We should not forget that he did not lose any match up till this point in the tournament.
Black queen on g7: see everyone , I am protecting the king Black rook on c4: hahahaha queen , you are just protecting the queen , see me , I am attacking white pawns and I will finish the game Me: stop this !!!!! You all are doing great things , you both are equal , stop this , it is chess , not fighting club , stop fighting both of you.......rook and queen !!!!!!!!!!!! Funny ????? Isn’t it ????????????
16:00 Magnus didnt miss the move Rf8, if he plays that than Qb7 its checkmate in couple moves. if Rf7 than Qb2, Kh3, Qa1 threatens mate in 1 and Magnus has no moves. Am I missing something?

Magnus: misses the game winning move twice
Me: "**You were the chosen one!**"
I love watching your videos! you are a great commentator and have a deep understanding of chess! All of which, make watching your videos very exciting!
BLACK CLOVER OP 10 is lit song ♥️🔥😍

drawish giri lol
Loved your videos, I am far from grasping everything, but I like to think I am learning a bit.
6:15 'Magnus caught up to Chucky on time' lol is the race backwards or forwards?? Chucky caught up on time
Thanks for this compelling presentation. Like many others I'm pleased to have spotted the move Carlsen should have made and the one at the end that Ivanchuk did make. Neither difficult to find.
Reminded me the win of Chukey over Carlsen in Candidates 2013
What a beautil game! How come I've never come across it? Thanks Agad. Didn't even bother me that I watched it on Friday eve two years ish after the release :)
Heard the words Magnus resigned the game after quite a while...most of the time Magnus either wins or draws🤘🤘🤘 congrats ivanchuk
Breathtaking game
Thank you so much agamator for the showcase!!
Im a simple man, i see ivancuk i like
You posted these game preview just within 5 minutes the actual game finished !! You incredible agad🤘
#suggestion I read an article about this new engine that combines a neural network with a brute force engine, it's called stockfish nnue and it would be nice to see it in action
Wooooooow Vasyl plays with no fear. Very encouraging!!
Ivanchuk beats Leko ,Magnus :"thats my boy"
Ivanchuk beats Magnus , Magnus : "oh you son of b.."
Agadmator i rarely say this but man i am a fan !! And am really impressed with your work! And consistency

Always exciting to hear agadmator saying “It’s as of this move that we have a completely new game...”.
I feel really proud of myself. I found a checkmate sequence that Magnus missed
@Matuscara Just because you're too stupid to find a tactic doesn't mean the rest of us are. Chill out and let people be
A razor edge between yours or his check mate and because of time, Carson missed it twice! amazing. they are human after all.
SAW this live .....BLUNDER AFTER BLUNDER .....seemed i was watching my Endgames!
I got nervous because carlsen wasnt playing rook to f8 xd

Lol XD 🤣
I can't even imagine how low Magnus was on the clock to miss a tactic I could find
He had negative time
Just throwing this out there. Ivanchuk has a book of 100 selected games. Its wonderful to study and i recommend it. Shamelss plug, but Chucky is one of my favorites.
I thought this was an April's fool joke with that ending... how did he miss that mating pattern TWICE, and then allow Qd7 -facepalm-
Because it’s Ivanchuk!!
Low on time. Also at the GM level you trust your opponent's skill to not let obvious mates. So you dismiss them.
@@MegaAgamon That's just a dumb excuse. They know really well that everyone can blunder. Everyone makes mistakes, this time it was Magnus.
Superb game! Thoroughly enjoyed, thanks Agad for your wonderful explanation!
When Ivanchuk plays world champions, its as if he is the world champion, even his photo looks like a nerdy version of Putin lol.
First time ever I guessed both black and white winning ideas even without pausing the video. Wondering what was the time situation, missed this game online, jumped into match only in Armageddon. Also this quote of Tall is very good for this game!
Thx Agadmator for your work and for correct pronunciation of "Ivanchuk" and "Alekhine", u only 1 in chess!
So happy to see Chuky back on this channel!!!
Grandmasters are destined to miss winning moves when competing against Ivanchuk
Earlier agad used to call him ivanchuk, but even after he discovered that it is Vasyl, he can still call him Ivanchuk instead of Vasyl...
You don't like Chukie? I prefer Queen-to-E1-Check :)
@@SamuelPearlman Yeah I always call him Queen to E1 check now
THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I'VE SPOTTED THE WINNING MOVE in an agadmator video lol. small joys
16:53 Rook f8 doesn't work as King h7..
If Kh7, then simply Rh7 and you lose the queen. 🤷🏻♂️
Excellent game, excellent analysis, especially back and forth winning advantage. Always interesting to see the heavyweights in action.
i wonder what carlsons reaction was when he realized he missed mate in 2 two times.
it wasn't mate in two, it was winning the queen
ArmandoXIII it was mate
Yep, it was mate
Ivanchuk is a true meaning of OG, props to that man.
Only If Ivanchuk Could 've Played With The Magician..
It Would've Been Awesome.
who, Morphy?
@@ecartmen1997 Mikhail Tal.
@@ecartmen1997 There is only one magician named Mikhail Tal
On the first move suggestion - Rf8 there is a Qb7+ response, and if Kh3 than Qh1#.
Wait, so I just found a move that MAGNUS missed a few times? wtf
And when you think HE is the world champion, while you're just watching it on TH-cam. Total injustice. I'm rooting for you.
We found the 🐐
At 16:04, white gets forced checkmated if black rook picks the pawn with check. So Magnus didn't missed anything..
Never clicked so early!!
NO ONE CARES
Levent K******** you cared to reply.
Everyone makes mistakes when there is time pressure . But the great players hardly do that. Such was the case with Magnus . We should not forget that he did not lose any match up till this point in the tournament.
Black queen on g7: see everyone , I am protecting the king
Black rook on c4: hahahaha queen , you are just protecting the queen , see me , I am attacking white pawns and I will finish the game
Me: stop this !!!!!
Yes
Would he have to go king h3? He could go kg1 and then block further checks with the rook?
