The way Dubov plays is amazing! I watched several of his blitz games and he always search for brilliant solutions, sometimes he loses terribly but often he produces real masterpieces!
Agadmator should have used tals quote “You must take your opponent into a deep dark forest where 2+2=5, and the path leading out is only wide enough for one.”
I also liked Tal's _"You can only take one piece at a time"_ Used in analysis of Daniel King Dubov vs David Anton | Airthings Masters @ th-cam.com/video/EN630ZdyNU8/w-d-xo.html
i love the way you comment on games. very inspiring. i like it when you eliminate all the options when the opponent makes a deadly move because as beginners we cant simply see why that particular move is so strong. thanks.
This video is why I RESPECT these two Grandmasters so much! In the tournament, they are 2 of my 4 favorites (with Wesley So and Hikaru Nakamura). But man... what an incredible game! I do hope that Dubov gets the Crown of World Champion back one day!
Black plays Rg2+ and it's mate in 9. King can't take the rook because of the pawn on h3, so the only 2 legal moves are Ke1 then Qc1# is game over or Kf1 which just delays the inevitable.
dubov is a player i feel could have been legendary dangerous in the era before computers... he has crazy ideas the work a lot of the time and takes chances more often than the other top players
6 out of agadmators last 7 videos all feature Dubov. Goes to show that almost every game he plays is exciting despite the result. An absolute treat for all the fans !
I love how in the end, it doesn't come down to a checkmate, or gaining a piece, but merely to the king being one move away from stopping an advanced pawn from becoming a queen. A slim margin that means everything. brilliant
I've been a long time subscriber, and love to see how this channel has grown. I remember him with his bedhead hair days, coving chess games (sorry bout that..lol). Now it all seems so professionally done. Coming from a true American.....Congratulations on your success 👍.
Dubov is slowly turning into the new tal. I wonder if he will turn into the new best attacking player of all time who’s moves confuse engines and capture the love of the crowd. I see a new world champion on the horizon.
I don't know if Dubov will ever be crowned world chess champion, but the beauty, creativity and his talent are miles ahead of Carlsen. Carlsen is like a boring, programed chess engine compare to Dubov. Yes, he can memorize more than the others, but Dubov is something special. Happy to see Dubov wining in style ( like a boss as Agad said) and not being intimidated by Carlsen.
Was that a Van Forrest pun (with both of their strange, creative, or just unusual play)? Lol. What a community we are fortunate enough to enjoy -- in either case! Gg by both, magnificent by the winner and great coverage of course. Thx.
8:02 g5 is also a totally winning move for black. It takes away f4 and h4 from the king. If the white king captures h3 pawn then rook captures on f3 check, rook captures on f3 defending, but then queen captures on f3 check mate. Another scenario is after g5, rook can move anywhere in the 2nd rank to make space for the king. But then rook captures on f3 will be check mate. Let me know if i am wrong.
Hi, thank you for this video and for all the others in your channel. I would have a question on this one, if anyone would like to answer to it: Why is f5 better than Re1 for black, threatening Rg1 against which I can't see any good defense and which would be followed by (Qxg4, mate) or the loss of the white rook? What am I missing with it? Thank you very much

I hope not - Tal was on the Olymp for a short time and his very life was relatively short.

Rumor has it that Carlsen is watching this video right now to prepare as the match hasn’t even happened yet. That’s how fast this channel is.
Dubov's play has been reminding me of Tal so much lately, glad agadmator approves.

Dubov took Magnus to a deep forest where everything is dubious
Magnus captured the pawn because he saw this video before the match and realized it was predetermined that he would capture it and lose.
