Oh man, story of my life. Growing up as a metalhead I always worked on speed and picking chops, but as the years went by I started to admire the difficulty of nailing a Gary Moore piece note per note with the same sense of emotion. It's his bending and vibrato, it's so "him".

Im 54 and a guitarist, I remember following gary when I started playing and loved his heavy metal ability but was floored when he started playing the blues. Ive never heard someone squeeze such feeling from a les Paul like that. Hits me right in the chest to this day. RIP sir, you are missed.
God I miss him ,,the only good thing about lockdown has been getting back to my gig level playing best working on the loner ,still got the blues etc,,I remember trying a splif for the first time with teenage mates in the late seventies on a beautiful night with a juke box blasting out Parisienne walkways ,,I never recovered !!
Must say it/ write it again ..... thank you for the existence of TH-cam who can keep the memories fresh and can let us enjoy those who has crossed over to another level.....I will never forget that day the news came up that Gary Moore had passed away. I big sorrow went over me......my wife couldn’t understand why this had such an impact on me....But one of my absolute biggest idols suddenly was gone. So thanks for the upload and thank you TH-cam. 🤘🤘🤘❤️🤘🤘🤘
