Thank you Andrea Jean! I love your content including your workout videos. I use freezer bags for everything you showed. Even mitten gloves. If I have an empty freezer bag in your car say from your trail mix or popcorn, snacks I always keep it and use it for trash in my car. You can use them in a3 ring binder. I’m a teacher lol😂. Punch 3 holes on the closed end you can organize all kinds of things depending on the size of your binder. Decorate it if it’s going to set out. Electronic cords, recipes, extra office supplies, the sky is the limit.

Putting the cell phone in a freezer bag when my hands are sweating in the heat is a game changer because the phone refuses to respond when my fingers are wet. Very frustrating. In the kitchen also it's a great idea to use them while cooking as you said.

I'm trying not to use plastic as much as possible because it takes 1,000 years for a plastic bag to break down in a landfill (they usually end up in the ocean). So I'm very glad that you mentioned reusing them, thank you!

I too refrigerate my bread, but I also freeze it. I would run out of bread too quickly without having extra in the freezer. I found out freezing bread lowers the glycemic index. So that's a bonus. As long as the bread doesn't come in contact with metal when thawing, it remains soft. I freeze marinara also+ use it frozen. Thank you for all your tips. I do some of them already. I look forward to your videos. I actually buy food storage bags to use so I can save my freezer bags for freezing.

I use freezer bags for packing the kids clothes when we travel which is pretty often. I like to pack one entire outfit in one bag-clothes, diaper, socks. Then I label it for which day it is for. I would reuse the bags and then when they get to the point that they need to be tossed then I use them as trash bags in the car.

I'm a big proponent of freezer bags because they are so durable and occupy so little space as a "just in case" item.
    * When I move, or break down a piece of furniture for storage or a refinishing project, I put all the hardware into a freezer bag so no pieces are lost for reassembly.
    * When refinishing a furniture piece, if that includes cleaning/stripping the hardware of paint or tarnish, a freezer bag might be a good container to safely soak the necessary bits in the least amount of solvent necessary.
    * As a frequent camper/hiker, I always have a freezer bag of dry TP in my backpack.
    * When I travel, I stuff empty freezer bags into my luggage to corral/protect souvenirs or hold last-day dirty laundry and shoes separate from clean clothes.
    * When I commuted to work, I packed (clean) empty freezer bags into my workbag in case I needed to bring home something that needed to be kept separate, from my normal everyday-carry like wet socks on bad-weather days, or leftover/gifted food items.

If you have a bag sealer machine put an extra seal across the bottom. The acid in the marinade probably eats thru the Amazon seal line. Or seal your meat and marinade in a bag from your machine. You can wash it out and reuse it. Or you can put your meat and marinade in a bowl and cover it with a reusable lid. A package of three silicone lids are inexpensive and last forever.

It may be great to not have plastic bags in those 12 states, but if you've got groceries in paper bags and it's raining and no garage (like me) your bags are going to probably tear apart and you'll have groceries on the grouind!!! I get Kroger delivery a couple times a month and after they drop off my groceries they ask if I have any bags to return!

Acidic foods like lemons and limes break down the plastic, so it leaks. It also causes the plastic to leach into your foods, causing inflammation and chronic health problems! I used to “poo-poo” the warnings about plastics and food, but not anymore. It’s a serious concern, adding to the many many chronic diseases and illnesses in our country. I’m working very hard to lower my inflammation, insulin resistance, cholesterol, blood pressure and weight, and improve thyroid function to avoid medications, because they tend to make the illnesses worse! I’m almost 69, and look and act younger, due to young-looking genes, but I also inherited all the tendencies toward heart disease, diabetes, dementia, and several cancers, and I can control my risky behaviors with food and exercise. You can too!

Those 12 states may say they ‘banned’ plastic bags but in my state of Washington all they’ve done (so far) is charge 8 cents per bag if you need one, make the bags you purchase out of a heavier plastic than they used to be and offer reinforced with plastic bags to purchase rather than offer thick cloth bags (at where I shop anyways). 🫤
