Whenever I think of the Gibb River Road I think of those awesome Malcolm Douglas programs that were on television back in the 1970s , 80s and 90s. Someone uploaded all Malcolm Douglas’s video on TH-cam so we can all enjoy watching them.
The water falls were absolutely stunning as well as all of the scenery. Thank you so much for the lovely views.
The camera you use really makes the colors pop greens and reds. Must have a high chromatic saturation setting..

hello, molly. Another great video, Gibb is also one of my favorites. When I was there in May 2017, only a third was passable and the road was really bad and flooded😒, but it was still fun👌😁. You can drive through a small paradise, in many places in the world there is only mass tourism. Next video please....😀🤠🤪Peter from Germans batic see👍👌🙌

It's an amazing place. We spent a couple or so months in the region, around this time and October. It's a shame about the swimming as we probably swam most days. We also walked to the top of the falls and also got to fly over them as well. We also swam in places with the freshies and never got bitten once. Phew! lol.

@@70chevs, shhhh…we don’t want the secret to get out LOL Yes, Utah has drastically differing landscape depending on where you visit. The Rocky Mountains, High Desert, Red Rock Desert, and boring sage brush plains.

Cool series you are doing on the Gibb River Road stretch Molly! Looks great so far with the gorges you have seen. The “steps” waterfall was neat. Hi Molly, Love your videos. I was a proud Hilux owner until a few months ago, when I bought a 2015 D-Max, mainly because the old (2002) Hilux had a small towing capacity. But a few years ago, we drove the Gibb in my wife's 2008 Rav4. From east to west, opposite to you. Continued on to Broome, Perth, and across the Nullabour to home, in the Hunter Valley. So your videos bring back a lot of nice memories. Can't wait for the rest of your trip.

How do you manage to look so clean, neat and refreshed? I spent a couple of weeks in rural Western Australia in a 1971 HQ Holden panel van and looked as though I'd been cleaning the inside of a garbage truck!
Lovely video as always. One thing I always do is always refuel. You never know when things ahead of you might change, you, others, weather, road conditions. If you have the big tank, fuel it up so you have the decision, not others.

Ahh Molly it's such a shame you couldn't get across to see Manning Gorge - it's by far my favourite place along the Gibb River Rd that I stopped at. There was a tinny and a rope strung across the water when I was there that you could use to drag yourself over and set off on the hike, but it was about 5 yrs ago now I suppose. It was a treat to see Bell Gorge pop up on the screen, would love to take that trip again sometime but love living vicariously thru you in the meantime! Enjoy!!
Yes the tinny and rope were there in 2017. I get the feeling Molly is there right at the opening after the wet. The road wasn't that good, it was horrendous.

Molly, please make sure you carry Water with you on any hike, even if it’s only short. Dehydration can happen very quickly up North. Also since you have problems being in cold water, maybe you could look at a kayak, so you can at least get on the water.

35PSI is not low for dirt road driving, and running at that pressure is what causes bad corrugations and makes them worse to travel over. However there is no magic number, decrease pressure to give best ride without exposing the sidewall. Most bushies I've spoken with say they are usually 30 or a bit under. Cheers for the vid.
