Plus that blatant and forced Muscle Man sponsor. THEY TOTALLY NOT PAYING US GUYS, HONEST! Oh well, at least the camel toe at 20:43 was worth it.
Yeah, with the Kinikuman/Muscle Man and Kochikame references, its blatantly obvious that Shueisha was a sponsor for this movie. On the flipside though, it also allowed Gamera to make a quick cameo in Dragon Ball which I think was a much more memorable outing for him than this movie was.

Gamera has a similar history he to will have three since like Godzilla is being rebooted the teaser trailer is on youtube. So far Gamera only has currently two Showa and Heisei. The main reason why you cant get a straight answer is Gamera the Brave technically isn't hiesei series due to the fact that its not canon to the Gamera Trilogy came out in the 2000's but you cant buiild an era on a single movie. Collecting the whole series is doable but very hard just type in the Godzilla in Amazon and I sure sure you will find what you need. Now Gamera thats simple every Gamera movie is out in english Hell there is a whole big Blu Ray collection with eleven of them. The only one not on it is Gamera the Brave and you can find that one just buy it self. There also really cheap as well.

Ok, so here's a weird thing... in that section with the manga, I recognized that's actually the manga magazine Shonen Jump and two actual real life manga series from Shonen Jump, a comedy wrestling manga called Kinnukuman and that police officer is actually, I think, supposed to be a live action version of the main character from another series, about a patrol officer named Ryotsu from Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Kōen-mae Hashutsujo. So basically this is a REALLY weird crossover for no reason. One that's completely out of place like the most Big Lipped of Big Lipped Alligator moments. Of all of the bizarre things for a Gamera film to do, this is something I literally never expected. It's just as weird or as out there as if someone didn't know who they were, either way. This Gamera movie is basically telling kids "Yes, kids, Manga is real." As if making them think that a giant turtle monster is real and also their friend, was weird enough, now there's this. WTF Daiei?

I remember when I first watched through the Gamera-A-Thon, I wondered (like a fool) if the Heisei Gamera trilogy was really as good as Brandon said, or if it was exaggerated above how good it really was based on how bad its original series got. Four years and many Heisei Gamera marathons later, and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that the two series are like night and day in terms of quality. Come to think of it, even that might not be enough to portray just how fantastic the Heisei trilogy is. It is an absolute must-see for any fans of kaiju movies.
Tbh, even though I really like the heisei trilogy, specifically gotu, I still prefer heisei Godzilla and I don’t understand why people prefer the trilogy

You pretty much nailed it except....Godzilla vs Hedorah. That proves that Gamera isn't the only kaiju to have a bad day. Godzilla got shat on in that movie, after all.

I remember when I first watched through the Gamera-A-Thon, I wondered (like a fool) if the Heisei Gamera trilogy was really as good as Brandon said, or if it was exaggerated above how good it really was based on how bad its original series got.
Four years and many Heisei Gamera marathons later, and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that the two series are like night and day in terms of quality. Come to think of it, even that might not be enough to portray just how fantastic the Heisei trilogy is. It is an absolute must-see for any fans of kaiju movies.
Tbh, even though I really like the heisei trilogy, specifically gotu, I still prefer heisei Godzilla and I don’t understand why people prefer the trilogy

+François Coulombe He MIGHT consider skipping the Kaneko "Guardian" trilogy and digging into the spectacular disaster of Gamera the Brave, which it seems a lot of people have driven from memory. (There's also Toho's trio of Mothra films, which have some good elements while still providing Brandon with plenty of stuff to yell at.)
They should've had Godzilla and Gamera team up, at least for the Heisei era flicks.

What is with parents in these films hating the fact their children have pet turtles? They don't make a mess, they don't require a lot of feeding, their tanks are relatively simple to clean and they don't do anything all day.
