Be very careful with abandoned APC's and Tanks in the desert area around AZ NV and NM. There are two A-10 bases in that area that use those kinds of "toys" for target practice. Remember this, the A-10 Warthog fires a Depleted Uranium Round. Even though the Uranium is depleted, it can still mess you up.
Excellent point.
I wonder if planes still use depleted uranium in the tail sections? We had to ring radiation detectors all around the WTC Site in 2001 - 2002 because there's apparently no airline records of which planes still use that as tail ballast, and which don't. 😳
(Happily we didn't detect any spiked readings, so apparently those two planes didn't.)
Even if wasn't depleted uranium a A10 can still mess you up lol
@@dmitrymolotov6428 no shit sherlock
When you were checking out that little serial killer camper, I saw Emma's reflection in the window and about had a heart attack lol.
Chris Adams 😂
Same
I once found the same thing at an active base. Old planes and armored personel carriers with fake soldiers inside. It was really cool until the MPs pulled up. They told me that they had dropped cluster bombs in the area and some of them take days to explode! I got a $25 trespassing fine, but it could have been much worse!
Cool video! Me being retired Army I really enjoyed seeing that stuff but at the same time sad to see it's life done and sitting there being forgotten
Awesome re-visitation to this training facility, when I was stationed in the Army in Germany i was a driver and gunner for the M113 Armored personal carrier, but this one was outfitted with a 20MM rotary cannon anti-aircraft system, your discovery brings back lots of memories. Thanks for this awesome tour and I was nervous just watching you and your daughter, stay safe guys.
I always love going back to old spots to see how much they've changed. A few weeks can change a lot about a place. Great video as always!
As always great video guys! I'd of crapped myself if their was somebody in that RV when you opened the door lol
Hey Guy's, when you come on to an abandoned property and you're not sure if someone is inside....Stay in your truck, get close to the building and then blow your horn. If someone's in there they'll look to see who's out there and you'll be in your safe truck and can make a quick get away if needed.
Sounds like sound advice, but u won't be safe if they happen to have some kind of firearm.
A possible squatter on an active base? That's strange, to say the least; it doesn't resemble any type of training that I recognize. The base appears to be only semi-active; perhaps used only for certain training routines, most likely combat engineering or demolitions (12B). If the person staying there is a homeless person, they better hope that they aren't found, haha
Nice job, I haven't seen tanks and apc's like that in 25 years. Seems that either those are part of a junk site, or they use them in testing, mainly munitions.
UrbexNY I was a 12B, there's a reason those camo nets are out there.
Brian Remmerde Yeah, I thought that was it. I was 11B, and seen some of what you guys could do, and it was pretty amazing.
Thanks, it's pretty cool stuff, we could build bridges from scrap then blow them into toothpicks, lol! These people just going onto an active military base, especially through hidden back gates are risking their lives, the M113 and truck could be targets, I've seen attack helicopters and A10's vaporize those things in one TOW missile fire or a short burp from an A10 chain gun! We would drive downrange and look at the targets and there's really no trace of the missing metal unless you have a detector, then you get a massive hit from where the liquified remains fell onto the ground!
Seen the same at a range in Ocala National Forest while we were out exploring. When we saw those A-10's screaming our way about 20 feet off of the ground we all nearly had heart attacks.
11C here. I was thinking of something like that at first, but there were no signs that it’d been used as target practice before, but betting that could change at any time. By the looks of it, I’m guessing maybe an old natty guard area for natural disaster relief. Seen a bunch of areas like that left over from Katrina in Louisiana that got set up, used once and abandoned. Most the stuffs gone but there’s a few things left here and there. That’s just a guess though.
Love ya all's tapes, can't get enough... Getting nothing(nada) done!
So glad I'M sick... I've watched ya gotten most of the neighborhood to watch you and 3/4 of my family's hooked on you outside keep up the good work stay safe love JJ 68 years old JJ LOL!
Emma is very beautiful.
She is very pretty
donald maclean i would marry her
It's kinda inappropriate, she's underage, first of all. and, btw, her father reads comments as well, it's disrespectful for him
It's great to hear Emma's voice. Her contribution gives a greater realism to the experience. Thank you both
If this is where I think it is, there is rancher that uses the water for his cattle. He also leaves provisions out for the guys who work for him if they get out there and need to stay overnight.
The old APC's are usually targets for ordinance that has no charge put in them.
The tents were sight targets for new style sensors and targeting computers. It takes some fine tuning for the sensors to pick up targets at 750 FPS+.
In the Nevada desert we had some calibration targets for sonic wave generators. If it was important to the military, you would not be there, so I really doubt if there are any live grenades, but maybe a few dummy rounds.
Do be careful of the African bees. They are nasty. Hornets can drop you too.
Sadly the Military leave some pretty nice, but obsolete machines out to rot. I was able to buy a WWII tank retriever, nd it works as a log skid pretty good.
All so logical but the dead cows. Why are they in there by the tent? Why aren't they desposed of? Any answers?
That was kutzbill
Emma’s ewu crew adventure outfit is on point !
Felicity, it's father-daughter
the things you see in these comments. when my daughter (19. saturday) and I (29...well maybe im a bit older but hardly anyone knows and can tell unless I look 25 on a good day), people think we're on a date. she carries herself nice (as does Emma) and she wears what she wants ans never looks sloppy but that controlling mess dont work (and it seems Bob knows that and look at how good they get along) its awesome and other than that people need to get off it. i know this is late but i was watching the vid and scrolled and just had a feeling thered be bs drama on this comment...shouldn't have been but
Love these way better than the live streams, just my opinion.
Yep!
Those empty camouflage netting things are used for flight training ...they sometimes blow them up , or fly over doing a mock drop ...meaning they do like a photo Bomb..only saying My Dad was. A fighter pilot Told us about those Areas your looking in right now..
Great video guys. Like you I'm not sure how I feel about people taking parts off the vehicles. On the one hand it's nice to explore things that are intact and untouched, on the other hand the stuff is just going to waste and was paid for with tax money. 🤷♂️
Love your videos as always! Ya, I remember the dead body scare, it was a fun one! That compound, what else could it be, was interesting, did look like someone had been there but not in a while! Someone hiding out for sure, very remote, why not? Stay safe guys as always! ❤️❤️❤️
“ it’s a wet pickle” - 2018
In my 21yrs, I saw alot of that ol Army Pickle...usually when I had plans.
Thanks for the video. Always enjoy when you go out into the field, reminds me of home.
M113 APC I DROVE THOSE IN GERMANY BACK IN 1995,great video you guys are awesome!
Probably the same ones we drove in 1973.
1985 in Graffenwher and Hoenfels [sp]
Great video guys 😀
Sketchy place with the tent 😱
Loved the military vehicles, its a shame that someone is taking them apart. I definitely understand why you thought the dummy was a body. Thanks for another great video 👍
Nice revisit! Enjoyed it very much. It is one of the places I plan to visit someday.
Since the military put those vehicles out there (for electronic targeting purposes) I imagine they'd be inclined to prosecute any theft from those vehicles! They are property of the DOD.
Awesome video! I’ve enjoyed every upload and livestream since I subscribed to your channel over a year ago, and this is my favorite.
The bird was definitely some type of sandpiper, maybe a Long-Billed Dowitcher. The APCs were both on the M113 chassis. The second one looked like a personnel carrier, but the first looked like a mortar carrier. The circular platform on the floor in the back would’ve been where the mortar was mounted. Either an 81mm mortar M125 variant, 107mm (4.2”) mortar M106 variant or a 120mm mortar M1064 variant.
Keep up the good work and stay safe out there guys.
I just have to say it... The mortar the merrier!
Maybe the building that said "AY" on it belonged to The Fonz
Hey Bob es Emma, It was nice of You Tube NOT to notify me of the video. Thannk God I checked Twitter.
I really enjoy these exploration videos. I have always loved them. I even go back and and watch
some over again. Thanks A million. Look for me late September, Your fan & friend, Ody
EWU, your desert finds are so unique, you always find something interesting for us! Sorry to hear about TH-cam penalizing some of your live streams, a lot of other youtubers have live streams, so didn't understand why they targeted you!! Love your videos, and all your hard work you put into entertaining us!!!
Awesome!! Thanks for the update tour.
THANK YOU SO MUCH EWU CREW!! BIRD LOOKS LIKE A ROADRUNNER, AND THE TRAILER WAS SCARY, SQUATTERS MAYBE. ALSO ON YOUR WAY OUT TO THE TANKS, THE GROUND LOOED LIKE FRESH TIRE TRACKS. YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!!
Massive cool video guys! EWU rocks big time!
Another awesome vid guys ❤️✊☮️
Hey guy's.... awesome video!!!👍👍👍👍👍
Great Vid! I have a friend who drove an APC in the ARMY, and he told me they were always "stealing" parts off of older ones to keep theirs running because it took so long to get the parts they needed through regular channels. That may be the case with this abandoned equipment.
I would NEVER do this type of Exploration without a Carry Permit!!! specially if my daughter was with me!!!! Safety is Your Life! Thats just my option... Thanks for sharing and God Bless You all...
Hi Emma and Bob thanks for another wonderful video. please keep up the wonderful work always Fam. I enjoyed the video. I don't like vandal's either. not right to destroy something that doesn't belong to us. I remember those videos you were talking about. I love you EWU Crew Fam. please take care Fam. ❤💙💚💛💜❤👋👍👍👍👍👍
Why didn't the us army take the vehicles back for scrap metal? They must weight over 10-15 ton the apc. Unless they are left as decoys. Like the body lol. Nice one kf.
C: They are targets used for 1. Visual training, 2. Infrared, electrooptical 3. photographic, 4 Side looking radar targets.
Great video! I love watching them.
Hi Bob and Emma! Nice video...love you guys...greetings from New York!!!!
“LOL” y’all crack me up...there’s a wet pickle....”wet pickle uguys” 🤣😂!!! As always love ❤️youguys and ur videos....shoutout from the “A.V.” !!!!!!!😘

Hi guys, I slam dunked the like button lol, you guys rock because you go places most people would turn and runaway from. Emma has to be the bravest lady I've seen on yt. Cool video, I remember the first video of this place when it came out. x
Thanks for all of your hard work...
As always great video !Thanks for sharing it with us EWU Crew for life👍✌
I liked our outing today, thanks 😎
Love it! Great job guys!!! Always amazing!
Another good exploration video from the EWO crew; thanks again for the places you go to and take us along.
Yet another Awsome video guys.....thank you
I remember that last visit! So different! Wow! Y'all rock!
Liked going back there to bad veichles are being vandalized. That trailer sure was sketchy glad you didn't go in looked liked alot or mice droppings
awesome video as usual, love seeing old military stuff :)
Great video, I like some of the revisited places you explored. See how much it has or has not changed. 😀
Hi. Steve here from England. Enjoy your videos. Do you ever get that feeling someone is watching you in these places. I can't believe how many places you have there in the middle of nowhere, very creepy.
Its possible although highly unlikely that motor pool or mechanics are taking stuff off. We used to do it all the time. Even though the m113 is no longer in use by "A" companies I do see some in use by NATO. Most are now Bradleys. Soooo MAYYYBE the military is doing some reclaiming.
S2ndjetli
Engineer units still have armored personnel coffins, and 577’s.
Very nice videos be careful and stay safe outhere 🙏👍
WOW is all I can say, I think folks know why. Also really digging your videos, sit and watch them for hours while working. Thanks for sharing.
cool video , cool people
I say that vandalism sucks, like breaking out windows and stuff, but if you need stuff that you are going to use, and it is just sitting out to rot, that's cool, just don't break windows and put holes in walls, spay paint tags, unless you are an artist and create a beautiful or super cool mural, but tag letters are stupid and trash stuff. That's my opinion. I mean, I'm poor, and there have been a lot of your videos I've seen where there is stuff I could really use...why just let it go to waste?? But don't damage stuff for no reason.
It’s too bad people have to steal parts off of machines but at the same time if they will be repurposed that’s probably a good thing too. Just don’t steal the stuff,
Definitely a cool revisit
Beautiful truly beautiful
OMG!!! You guys are nuts! Hope you both carry. Love the videos. Be safe.
great video guys short sweet and to the point I love your videos great editing and narrating as usual keep up the good work
Great job guys. Lovin your videos.
I was there last month. Dead cows, no tents. Theres a house a cpl miles away that was completely flooded. There's a lot of cool stuff out that way
The first vehicle was an FMC M125 mortar carrier. I used to drive one. Don't know the truck as I was Australian Army. But the third vehicle was an M133A1 APC and had its engine hatch dropped on the ground in front of it with the trimvane put back flush with the hull (indicating hasty salvage theft). These vehicles typically ran a GM Series 53 V6 diesel injected motor with a turbo. A great truck engine if it's free. Got this off Wikipedia: a Detroit 6V53 V6 two-stroke diesel engine of 318 cubic inches (5,210 cc)[29] with an Allison TX-100-1 three-speed automatic transmission. An auto thiefs dream.
Bird looks like a woodcock. If I'm right, they're good eating and they're kinda cool because when they get scared they go into shock and fall asleep.
I liked the video, been missing the videos. Thanks.
I really liked that explore (it was a lot tamer than some of your others which I must admit sometimes keep me on the edge of my seat Lol). I'm into military armor and vehicles of WW2 but that stuff was later than WW2. Keep up the good work you guys and please be safe.
This is a nice flash back to the first ever EWU video i watched
OKAY was literally ready for something to jump out at you guy's when I heard that bang noise had me nervous.
What a shame to see all that hardware sitting out and just rusting back into the Earth! Great exploration!
I enjoy the videos you two put out, couple of the places you have taped, I had already been to.
Have been trying to find the update on that jar of coins with the fractional reserve note, no luck.
Glad to c emma again, need more of her shes beautiful 👌
THIS WAS A KOOL VIDEO...👍👍 THANK YOU
It's probably been said before (in the numerous comments) but exploring anything with Emma would be interesting! She is fine!
Keep the videos coming love this stuff!! Great job
Yet again another awesome video, thanks guys. Can’t wait for the next one
They could be radar or practice targets. You would be surprised at just how many tanks n such our military has buried over the years in the middle of no mans land. Not all of it gets "mothballed" like they did with the destroyer my father served on in the Navy. It gets dumped or buried. Money they might as well have just burned. Such a waste....a tank could have made someone a nice water fountain for their front lawn lol lol. Nice video guys! Much love from Texas!! ❤
Coool 😀😀😀
Interesting place! Thanks for sharing!
More videos please! Keep exploring stay safe, carry a big gun😎
I haven't read all the comments so don't slam me too hard but you asking about the difference between the two carriers. To start the first 0ne you came to was a mortar carrier which was Troop level fire support. It carried a Four Deuce (4.2 inch diameter) mortar tube and ammo on a M113A1 carriage. The two look the same except for mortar and hatch. The second on is an M113A1 Armored Personnel Carrier. It was your mechanized infantry fighting vehicle. It carried an infantry squad into battle. Both and the mortar carriage had M2 heavy barreled 50 cal. machine guns. The APC Infantry vehicle had the 50 cal. as its main armament.
The missing parts were more than likely scavenged off by raiding party of a parts detail. The cut belts were merely an ends to a means. In the military there were, are and always be times when budget constraints dictate that military companies and troops have replace parts on vehicles by any means necessary. I know because I have been on these details. What these details do is they strip off any part requested but not filled, parts that you think you'll need, parts that will eventually wear out. This usually happens around the time new vehicles are being introduced like in our case we were still using M551A1 Armored Recon/ Airborne Assault Vehicles and they were reconfiguring the Cavalry Troops. The Pentagon wasn't sure if they were going to go with M60A3s which were also due to be replaced or wait for the new Abram M1 main battle tank. The ultimately waited for the Abrams and the rest is history. There's no telling how many times those vehicles have been scavenged upon. Just think of it as an automobile recycler used parts are an economical method that saves money. It would be cool if you all went through the proper channels and did a show on Davis Monahan Air Force Base outside of Tucson Arizona. That's where the USAF keeps all of their salvaged aircraft and ones in mothballs. That would be a cool place to explore. In closing I never did see that's rabbit's leg you kept pointing the camera at.
Somebody is there, I heard someone hit the side of the big building a booming sound.
That was pretty cool great find you two. The dummy did look like a body at first scared me lol glad u guys investigated further and seen it was just a dummy form. Was creepy to see the tent and dead cows in the barn wonder whats been going on there
I love you both so much! You guys are so cute!!
I see no problem with urban exploring, but I have no use for a thief or vandal! If it ain't yours don't damage it!
I love you guys I hope you are always happy
The first APC (round thing on bottom) is configured as a mortar carrier. It's a small caliber artillery and the round thing is the base that hold the tube. The last one looks stripped out but could have been troop or ammo carrier. They have Detroit Diesel engines and the parts will fit on other equipment.
I was looking on google maps after you guys were in Ely & noticed that you weren't far from Bigelow's Aerospace Skin Walker Ranch. Are you headed out that way? I sure hope so! I also noticed that Emm's pigeon Toed lol. Just messin' so is my son's mother. :)
Good video keep it up guys
Y’all be careful out there! Reminds me of some hills have eyes type stuff lol, When I explore old decrepit buildings, I worry about my vehicle being disabled by someone or something..
Unfortunately we can't find the notification Bell keep up the good work JJ 😁
Y’all are brave!
Awesome video..... what kind of cameras do you use?
What amazing locations!
Your videos rock bubba.
Outstanding! Ty both lam a new subscriber .
Yep I need to go there! I’d be all over those tanks.haha even those m35 cargo trucks 👍🏻
H Bob and Emma. I love watching your videos.
Bats are so cute 😍
Emma is precious.
That is a firing range. You can get shot. My husband is a combat instructor in the USMC. don’t go just walking around on a Military base. Especially in the woods around the base. 2 years ago my husband stepped on a land mind out at Devil Dog teaching Land Nav. There was a broken down tank and hummer near by that he was wanting to check out and THANK GOD the thing was so old and rotted that it no longer worked. He also finds old pineapple grenades all the time too. Ammo cans and grenade boxes are normal everyday things, nothing special, we use them to store our board games, and my husbands NOS stuff and to take his tools with us to motorcycle races. They are sturdy as hell and easy to come by.
But you are in a firing range or one of their “towns” they use for training on how to do sweeps and using their night vision goggles. They stay out there 3 weeks at a time training each company, when they are done....the next company normally comes in after. Or that’s how it is for SOI E on camp Geiger. BE CAREFUL!!!! You don’t want to get caught trespassing on a Military range. That is bad news. Please be safe guys. Love y’all vids.
