    Miyoo and Anbernic are really making some neat micro handhelds... For sure the community will develop firmwares for this for improvement... What a time to live for retro gaming.. great vid as always Mark

    I bought one of these for the price its decent to throw in the backpack to play for a few minutes on commutes

    RetroArch seems to be the future of emulation. I briefly had RetroArch on my S10 and it has great emulation from the classic hardware and an intuitive online gameplay matching system.

    Looks pretty similar performance wise to the Miyoo Mini +, which is awesome for all things up to and including PS1

    I never realised TMNT gameboy music sounded as good as that.

      Yeah, it sounds pretty Awsome. It's one of my favourite GB game sound tracks as well.

    You can bet I noticed the stuttering on Star Fox 64. I played it (and watched my brother play it) way too much back then 😁

    It runs up to PS1. Can't complain for $55,95. First things first: flash the existing software to other (branded) microSD card. Never know when will NoName card give up it's ghost, or corrupt the data.

    • @RetroCore
      @RetroCore  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yep, that's the first thing anyone should do with these non branded Micro SD cards.

    Could have really benefited from a second stick and just a tad more processing power, Dreamcast and PSP are so close to being decent! But for the price it's not bad if you're just wanting a quick solution for 8/16-bit stuff.

    This system seems to be getting a fair bit of exposure in the retro community, I do like it's got a 4:3 screen.

    • @RetroCore
      @RetroCore  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The 4:3 screen is definitely a right move. Well, maybe not for PSP or GBA but at least those systems gave black bars rather than stretching the image. 👍

    Tiny and powerful. It would be perfect if the screen doesn't be so small.

      Its Not powerful at all... For bigger Screen Go for the rg35xx h. Same price. Way more powerful. Bluetooth. Wifi

    Hey. For your next Battle of the Ports, can you please do Rally X/ New Rally X?

    • @RetroCore
      @RetroCore  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It's on the to do list. The next BOTP is an overhead racing game though so that's a bit of a coincidence.

    Y'know what? I'm not that hyped for handhelds these days. Everything has built in batteries that will start to degrade at some point, I'd rather just get something I can stick a couple rechargable AAs in. Much easier to replace, and cheaper
    That aside, nice form factor for PSP games, if they ran better

      I'm a big fan of the Panasonic rechargeable batteries. I've been using them in my Xbox controllers for years now. Same set of 4 for over 5 years and they're still holding a charge extremely well.
      Because there's 4 batteries in a set, I just swap out the flat pair for a charged pair then charge the others for use in another two weeks time.
      These batteries have easily paid for them selves at least 4 or 5 times over!

    My only gripe with this kind console, its still not yet have power to run Dreamcast and PSP, and I cannot play my favourite PS1 game Ape Escape properly coz they only give me 1 analog stick.

    • @RetroCore
      @RetroCore  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I have a feeling this can run Dreamcast if given a better emulator. Dreamcast emulation isn't as demending as N64 for example.

      Lol, I didn't notice that spelling error until watching back the video.
      I also noticed one of my own typos where I wrote runns instead of runs.
