Interesting how this launches at 4,000 RPM and the models with V6 and V8 engines launch at not much more than 2500. Why is that? Cool little hatchback by the way.
more hp and V engine displacement - less rpm. unfortunatelly, some youtube comments are not enough to explain this. i have S3 (2019) which lanches on 4k rpm, when RS3 lanches on 3.5k rpm. you basically just need to throttle the power of the eingine (which is going to wheels in the end) to reduce the wheel spin. obviously, some V6 produce much more (end)-power to wheels and you need to control them somehow. i can remember on my old A3 8P it happened to me pretty often in the winter while launching - and it was (just) 200hp and 2.0l engine. imagine all the power from 6V...
@@sergioferraro3644 well, not even the engine is the radical change, despite double the power :( i mean older models you can just recognize by seing them in your side/back mirror. with the new one you can't see the difference anymore. which is kinda frustrating for people which are driving S or RS versions right now and are thingking about getting a new one. for example take a look on the old S3 steering wheel (small, flat bottom, feels awesome!) and then the new one where is no difference between normal A3 anymore. I think sporty cars have to have any differences, have more agressive (at least for audi) look, have some differences as also in older modes did. not just an engine... i know people love sleepers, but it doesn't even apply in this case :/
It's a company name and also the family name of the founder of the tuning company "ABT Sportsline GmbH" which was aiming on tuning of Audi cars. Nowadays they also tune Skoda and VW cars. The history goes back into end of 189x years, but with cars (as we know them) they started just 30 yeras ago. However, it's the most popular company in Germany if it's about (official) tuning of your Audi with full support and guarantee. I think the second place takes APR tuning (got the visit card from an Audi guy - probably official tuning) and third place probably Klasen tuning (which also provides more excessive tuning then ABT). Btw Auditography did a video last year on the S3 with APR tuning - th-cam.com/video/pNExBn5Npe0/w-d-xo.html :)

The easiest way is to buy an S3 and look for an authorised ABT dealer and get the remap (if you just want the 370bhp/450Nm upgrade over the stock 310/400) If you want the wheels you can order them direct from ABT Germany I’m sure this can be arranged through a loca ABT partner. De-Chroming is a thing that a lot of body shops can do if you don’t own the launch edition or the Vorsprung (there is no black edition option on this model as standard unfortunately)
😂 My 2016 S3 with a basic tune has 377hp, does 0-60 in 3.82s, and doesn't look like a flabby SUV with badly a ripped off Urus interior. Audi went backwards with this model.

As you can see, it easily copes with that 450Nm.
