The Lean Journey in SMEs: Cambodia

The Asian Productivity Organization (APO) and National Productivity Centre of Cambodia (NPCC) assisted three Cambodian SMEs in raising their productivity through the successful implementation of lean manufacturing principles.
Lean manufacturing is a management philosophy focusing on the elimination of waste in the production process. By decreasing waste, minimizing inventory, maximizing workflow, and aligning production with demand, these SMEs have improved their ability to meet customer requirements and ensure quality. Furthermore, the quality of the workforce was enhanced as lean manufacturing empowers employees and fosters a culture of continuous improvement.
