But honestly between them being bots and godlike it sure as hell makes it very damn entertaining and interesting to watch them because you can't not be emotionally invested in how the team both pulls off the most godlike plays you cheer for and the most silver type moment you cry over
It's never boring when you're G2 whether they're winning or choking
If they feel it they legit unstoppable. If they are not, they are still strong but can lose 50/50.
True!!! Being a G2 fan will suck like hell whenever they lose to teams they shouldn't be losing to, but when they finally fire on all cylinders it's so satisfying to watch.

Hooxi was in karrigan's head the whole game. Loved to see it XD
Masterclass counter stratting from Hooxi. His performance also helped alleviate the burden on the other players mind which then helps their own performances. Karrigan looks lost during Inferno and I don't blame him. Haven't seen this much dominance in strategy than during that time when Astralis picked Vertigo against Liquid.
Those back to back A execs in Ancient... First one was a good read, the second one was just a backhanded slap to Karrigan forcing them to adjust 😂

Yep. So fucking accurate. When watching games I hang out in the official G2 discord chat, and ooooh boy, once G2 loses a couple rounds in a row even when they're at 14 or 15, everyone gets panic attacks (and rightfully so given how many times G2 has choked before 😂).

As a faze fan, that inferno was depressing, Hooxi was on it on T side, the calls were very good and he was fragging like crazy, G2 is very inconsistent and I think Faze was like a mental barrier for them, glad to see them finally playing good

Big up to G2! Congrats on making the outcome of a game always unknown no matter the opponent! Crushed by a tier 3 team but crushes a tier 1 team like okay sure how does that even make sense. Every game I watch them is a genuine thrill because I know they could lose 13 rounds in a row on match point then lose in over time.

I reckon for groups, Hooxi having his ACL shattered was a huge vibe killer for the entire event, cuz that kind of injury is insane . . . So I'm glad our good friends at FaZe can hand us a free win during these hard times 👌👍

G2 lost their last two faze matchups in quarters of tournaments, good to see this win. They may end up facing them again at some point in the trouney tho so well see. Just shows what g2 was like when hunter was actually playing like the top 20 player he is supposed to be and now that they fixed the energy. They seemed lethargic and pissed the last few months. Faze looks like they were off today. Nothing was going for them and the timings as well, also they werent hitting their shots
These two teams know each other so much that they can predict what each other can do, so it really depends if either of them has an off day, and G2 capitalize on Faze having an off day
But(not a faze fan btw) Faze got 2-0’d by G2 in blast groups, then met each other again and faze won 2-0, so if you put faze in corner, they will fight more than usual.
But aslo, G2 rn is probably the best team to go against vitality because vitality rn looks unstopabble

The new g2's recipe to winning is to not have the weight of the world on Niko's shoulders. During their blast and kato win, niko was not the tournament mvp, nor was he top fragging most of the games. Anytime g2 starts looking shaky, Niko has to stand up and do everything, from opening up sites to clutching and fragging out. I don't think Niko topfragging every game is the problem, but rather it is a symptom of the team not functioning at a 100%

It's always been like this the narrative of Faze Clan. They start slow then qualify the fuck out to the playoffs. But the matchups they will be facing later is so stacked man. Navi, Mouz/Astralis which are all in good forms. I hope G2 and Faze meet again in the arena.

I do agree that Faze looked terribly lost until around the second half of Ancient on T side. However, Hooxi's calls were fantastic in this game, that much deserves praise.
I'm still a firm believer that G2 needs to get either a new coach or a new analyst before they should drop Hooxi. Ain't nothing they'll get from swapping IGLs this late in the year and moving onto CS2 not long after. A coach swap or an analyst will have more impact quickly while a new IGL will take a while to even get off the ground, if it even does at that.
That can be one way to see it, but you also need to consider that this was G2's form during world finals - katowice period. We had an inferno and nuke streak because HooXi is calling dominantly all because of our T-sides. It's just that hunter and m0nesy kinda fell off in the recent losses. If hunter and m0nesy performs we are winning cologne.
