@@adecc0 Don't think he has the hunger anymore but let's see what happens in CS2. s1mple does need to step it up since Zywoo is about to get his 3rd HLTV #1 this year and people might question s1mple's GOAT status if it keeps going on like that. He really needs to make a comeback in CS2.

What a perfection. Man that was hell of a game for G2. I know damn well that VP really has the capability to defeat G2 even in vertigo on their T side but NiKo is on point, he and his cousin are the reason and still one of the best duo in counter strike.
Ence is strong as hell right now especially Vitality, they're gonna be a brick wall for the G2 but I hope they punch through and win this whole tournament. No expectations for now but Vamos, G2 forever 🎉.

@@danderich2768 it's normal to be honest if someone doesn't perform very well on your team but him and huNter are really close and mature enough to handle it and fix it.
lol it was no competition, just that vp first had t sides on two t-sided maps (inferno and vertigo), so it shouldn't be a surprise that the outcome of the game will come down to later rounds of these two maps respectively

I was watching a twitch streamer and he gave a very valid reason why teams are struggling to play VP

so teams are struggling to counter their strats
yea, and they have some known teammates too and with different play styles is very hard to beat VP. but in the next tournament im pretty sure VP will lose to faze and g2 2-0 no sweat
@@rishabh9627 + VP is playing really text book counter-strike. No giving out entrys for T and CT, playing the most control out of default rounds. This style is by itself is hard to counter. This style is not common on tier 1 scene, most teams are more aggressive and explosive when VP is playing more passive and measured

@@nuginormandia4439 They're VP back then but when Russia invaded Ukraine the players are forced to abandon Virtus pro since it was a Russian organization same with Gambit Esports, they were sanctioned.
So jame and his team formed "Outsiders" and put the logo of the polar bear so they can be known as ex-VP.
Now the Virtus pro changes its ownership and moves to Armenia. The VK group who owns the VP sold it for roughly $3 million. Well it's a good idea since Virtus pro is a household name in CSGO.

I stopped watching the stream at 10-5 and came back worried when I skipped to 11-11 score
huNter was really the star of the show, showing up on the third map. VP looked extremely sharp in map 1, but g2 amazingly clawed their way back into a 3 map grind of a victory. Insane endurance by g2.

Dude Aleksib is long gone since leaving ence. His style of gameplan is not catching up to the meta. He's good but anti strats won't work no more and he's still doing that.
I don't know what he thinks but he's young and has a lot of room to improve especially if s1mple starts beefing with him if they come out dissapointed.
I like G2 but I’d put their success down to Niko being on top form. Hooxi is alright as an IGL but I think you could probably put any top tier IGL there and they would pull out a win as long as Niko keeps playing like this.
@@zjeeenah 2022 niko was always top form especially in first half of the year and thats when alexi was g2 igl, but still they didnt do well second half of the year with hooxi was quite until world final shows that playstyle affect the game as much as individuals skill
@@zjeee HooXi really helps a lot since NiKo has a pride against bad IGL. He is not good nor bad but he's improving a lot since we can see him fragging now that I bet NiKo told him to do.
I don't have faith in HooXi though since he kinda choke a lot but his mind in terms of improving, improvising and helping his teammates through positive energy is what makes him a good leader for G2. You can see that he cheers his team even when losing and that was the leader supposed to do so (you can't see that on Aleksib btw).
I hope this team wins CS2 Major though since NiKo TRULY deserves that.
@@jesusismylordandsavior3537 You could see Niko stressing but keeping his calm, he was on point in vertigo, same as hunter. But as you said, without Hooxi cheering them up I don't think they would have had the mental fortitude to pull the reverse sweep in vertigo.

On paper this seemed like G2 should win easy but props to VP, they showed up looking like every bit of the major winners they are. Niko, Hunter and M0nesy are such a strong core though, as long as Hooxi and Jks pick up their 12-18 kills each this team doesn’t lose easily.
Vp losing yekindar was a problem, but mir actually seemed to post numbers so far this tournament. Idunno maybe just maybe he can be the next yekindar for vp

@@joseaveiro6693 that's actually funny you mention that because they didn't face a single team higher ranked than them on hltv that entire major and they were rank 8 at the time, meaning they didn't face a single top 10 team start to finish. (heroic was like #16 at the time too) it was the first and only major where the winners got through without having to face a single top 10 team in an elimination match.
