I put it in my car because I was going to go trade it in towards either Blackstar, Marshall code, or fender mustang. Wow what a rant, I’m just excited that I finally found a video that gets in depth with the app, all the other videos are good for the tones, but this got me excited to go get one today! I will subscribe and follow everything you have going on and your tones, loops, presets.
Good rant! Thanks much, and I’m glad it was helpful. I’m starting a new channel soon where I’ll be demo-ing the amp a lot while looping. You’ll love having one. Lots of fun👍🎸🤙
I know this is an older video but I'm hoping you could help. I have the fender tone app on my android cell and I only get three settings for the amps. Gain, volume and treble, I see that you get middle and bass also. Its probably something simple but how do I get the extra settings? Thanks

Steve, I found the GT Amp sounded terrible but it sure was fun to dial up cool sounds. Do you have any idea if a speaker upgrade helps the GT model come to life?
Thanks for this great video. I’m having tons of issues with my Mustang GTX50, and the stability of its Bluetooth connection is super bad and also the amp itself got frozen/blocked from time to time. Before asking for warranty do you believe it is a config problem? Is it a firmware problem? Shall I do a hard rest?
Steve, great video. I just picked up this amp but haven’t used the app yet. This was a lot of great info. I subscribed to your TH-cam channel and I will definitely download your clean tone one first. BTW, this is the first video I’ve watched of yours I’m really interested in learning how to use the looping function. If you have not yet, please make a video showing how to time the loop correctly. I’m recording my stopping and starting points so it’s not seamlessly looping nonstop like it should.
That’s really cool, Robert! Thanks for subscribing, I’m glad you’re liking the content. And I’ve had trouble getting looper timings right as well, so once I felt like I had it down, I added it as Tip #1 on this video. Hope it helps! th-cam.com/video/Af93ngaCG04/w-d-xo.html
Spewing I can't get this app to work with my GTX100 though PC for some reason. When I plug the amp in it says "unsupported device" but the GTX100 is listed as compatible on Fender's website. So far Googling hasn't helped, but I hope I can get it sorted out. Great vid, cheers 😉
Sorry for the troubles. Hate to hear that. I suggest you go to thegearpage.net and go to their digital and modeling forum, and then look for the mustang GTX thread, which is like 100 pages long or more. There are some serious experts there. Tag a guy named Elantric and he will chime in eventually. He knows everything! There’s also a Fender employee that response to questions there as well. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
@@SteveGuitar Cheers for the link, that wil be super handy in the future. I did end up working out the problem. Only the LT amps are compatible with the PC version of the Tone software for some reason, so I'll have to purchase a tablet if I want to use the app with the GTX100, which is super annoying as I generally only work with Windows. Anyway, I'm glad I got it sorted out, and hopefully they might add support for the PC later. Thannks again 😊
@@blackie75 my pleasure, and I’m not sure if you have an iPhone, but I believe you can control the amplifier completely using that, without buying an iPad.
Thanks for the info! Great video. I'm just about sold on buying this amp. But how do you access the tones that other people create? You mentioned Fender connect. Is that part of Fender Tone?
Thanks! Glad you like it. And the “Connect” thing is what Fender calls their free accounts and website area. Basically, you can create an account on their website, or once you download the app. So if you got this amplifier and download this app, you can use the app to browse presets, download them instantly for free, and assign them to a spot on your amplifier. It’s easy once you get the hang of it. Check out more of my mustang videos, especially the one about all the factory presets… From October, or maybe a bit earlier.👍
@@SteveGuitar I'm actually watching that other video you mentioned right now. Listening to all the different tones on it is/was my last bit of research on this amp. I'm going to place the order for it right now actually. Thanks for the videos and info. You got a new subscriber. Thank you again.
Hi Steve, just got this amp. It’s still in the box. Is there a limit on the presets that you can download and save without having to delete the ones that come with the amp? I’m a beginner for the past 30 years with long gaps in progress. Hoping this thing will inspire me. Love the tutorials and subscribed.
Awesome Brian, welcome, and thanks for watching! I think you will love the amplifier, and to answer your question… There are 178 factory presets, with 22 available free slots for your own tones. So if you want more than 22 custom ones, you have to start deleting some of the original 178. Fortunately, I backed them all up in the Fender cloud so you can restore any original ones that you want to. Check out this video here on my channel and let me know what you think. Take care! th-cam.com/video/mV-_aQqlKFw/w-d-xo.html
Michiel Pieters yep, they will. When you sync the app/device to your amplifier, anytime you save a preset on one, it updates the other. So I actually build my presets on the app, and the moment I hit the save button, a screen pops up that says “amplifier sync in progress“ or something like that. And when you make changes on the amplifier, the next time you open up your iPad and the app, it will sync and grab all of the changes you made on the amplifier.
Michiel Pieters you got it, and glad it was helpful. And only if you want to, I’d love it if you help spread the word about my channel. I’m trying to really get going and get a bunch of subscribers (I am up 60 in the last week) and really keep a bunch of informative content going. If you have social networks or are on guitar forums, it would be cool to spread the word. Only if you want to. Take care, and be safe!
