I've been eating a high protein breakfast and always feel great throughout the day. Eggs with avocado oil and some spinach is my personal favourite. *prioritizing a good nights sleep is the real superpower 💪🏼💪🏼
She shows salmon as good. But actually there was a dr on utube that said ten foods y should avoid if y dont want to get cancer and one was salmon never eat this
Diet necessities are individual needs . For some carnivore is a must, for others KETO, for others low carb ….. as an example ….. morbidly obese who want to loose 200 pounds in a year - ONLY carnivorous does the trick !
Having studied nutrition for over 2 decades now, and reading "100's of pounds" of books, among the many things I've learned is that there are plenty of "experts" out there (scientists, book authors, impressive resumes) who have different opinions about the same thing. She likes to eat eggs, ham, cheese, yogurt ... all foods slammed by other "experts" for various reasons. You have to do what makes sense to YOU and never expect to find perfection.
those foods are only looked down upon because big corporations wanted us (especially women) to believe fat is evil when really sugar is the culprit for issues like diabetes
But all the old people I've ever known ate bacon and eggs for breakfast with tea... Cheese and chutney sandwich for lunch... not supermarket bread from today, but the real thing from an old style baker... In the evening.... home grown vegetables, old style pork chops or chicken or mackerel or lamb chops or butcher made sausages or fresh herrings or sardines or beef with kidney. .. 😅 Result is this... all these old people are still alive and slim..... I am sure this lady means well. But it's simple: no processed food . It is that simple. 😅
Yep, that follows her plan. Protein brekkie, not a lot of sugar in that days food. Super high processed crap n sugar is what's creating all this mess of heart disease, diabetes, cancer's, etc etc. It's recordable, easily charted, the evidence is plain to see if you research it. Eat food you recognise as food. If your granny doesn't recognise it, don't eat it .
Hi. Maybe we should take into consideration 30 or 40 yrs ago, less stress. Less pollution n more natural ways of cooking n growing crops ets. The genes also were more protected.. I'm just suggesting. I'm not an expert..take care
@@maroniali31, But she said also not to eat bread in the beginning, she was critic of restaurants placing bread before the food, I don’t understand her, she is so confusing.
I have a resistance training and Tae Bo kickboxing regimen and for me the sugars from fruit and healthy carbs are essential to making it through my extensive workouts and keeping my energy high. I also do a lot of protein which makes it necessary to pay very close attention to healthy carbs and fruit, otherwise I turn into a narcoleptic lol! This excessive attention on sugar and lack of separation between various sources of sugar benefits her book sales more than it benefits an athlete's health. Fruit is a good thing and most Americans do not get enough of it.
Hi i would like to know if i could eat dates for example if i want to make a cake and what about choclate chips for baking what should i use instead for baking to give some sweetness i do not like stevia or erthritol or monkfruit would dates be better whats your opinion thank you also i love choclate what type of choclate should i eat thank you pp
The principle of it is that sugar is sugar, homemade, or store bought, which is what you need to understand. Regarding ingredients, yes, if you do it home, it is better that all those binders and emulsifiers
it's certainly better. YOu can try as she says to see how your body works after such a breakfast as opposed to a protein breakfast. I'm gonna try that since I love my porridge, I do soak the oats in vinegar water overnight though
😭 not granola, no!!!!!!!!!!! I refuse to abandon it, I go for Linzi’s low sugar and low GI granola ordinarily (ain’t gonna lie, FUEL and Jordan’s Country Crisp creeps in from time to time 😋). I don’t eat much, it just independently moves over a wider surface area in my bowl, really, honestly! Triggered 🤣
fruits are not nearly as bad as processed sugars because it's fructose and has other good things like vitamins and fiber on them. She mentions pairing sugars (inc. carbs) with fiber
Ham? HAM????????!!! That is loaded with sugar and salt and preservatives. So how is it that she talks about eating ham but not veggies first? I'm very shocked at that moment.
As someone who works out a lot I think GG gives bad advice. Lots of protein along with healthy carbs and fruit is what grows my muscles, strength and energy, in addition to resistance training and Tae Bo kickboxing. The right exercise program means you don't have to obsess about food like she is asking you to. Deep in our hearts we know the rules - exercise and be reasonable with food. Her stuff is just not very helpful IMO.
Wait! sugar is bad for you? Who would of thought…lets send this lady on a podcast tour to tell us what we already know… Up next… Processed Foods are bad for you… Invite me on next!
She’s extremely pretentious and pompous for the little knownledge she provides (add fats with carbs to lower the insuline spike, drink ACV and prioritize proteins… ummm okay genius? Its like one single line of speech in any dr Berg or Ekberg video LOL if she calls herself goddess what should they be called, masters of the universe?)😂
I think she is qualified to give advice. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from King's College, London and a Master of Science in Biochemistry from Georgetown University. I would say she is very modest and also a good communicator. I would recommend reading her book, titled: Glucose Revolution. All the best.
It may be a simple thing, but how many of us follow eating habits to deliberately lower glucose spikes? Eating our veggies first, protein next, and carbs last - is not intuitive or easy. It takes conscious effort. If you read her book, she shows graphs of insulin spikes after various food behaviors. I woke today, had steamed spinach and radish, then a boiled egg, then a steamed potato. I switched back to organic milk in my coffee and tossed out the oat milk which was giving me gum infections. I had no idea oat milk was the same as eating sugar until i read her book. I have tons more energy without crashes. There are many different views about health. Find the one that best works for you. :)
If you can skip these go ahead but she is recognizing most people need a variety of foods. She is suggesting how to lower the insulin spike if you choose to eat these fun foods. Of course it’s better to avoid the sugar if you have the willpower. She’s not perfect…she eats processed foods like ham. Author of Ultra Processed People convinces me to avoid processed foods. So draw from everyone and find what works best. I am giving her food order method a try. So far, feeling more energy without crashes, dropping weight. It is a bit of effort starting every meal with veggies but if it helps avoid type 2 diabetes I am very ok with making the change.
Sugar gives you pleasure, just like Alcohol, Tobacco and Drugs!!! The worse thing about Sugar, is that you don't have to be legal age to purchase it, you can start on Sugar as early as you are born!!! Parents are the ones who start the kids on Sugar( Addiction) !!!! 🍼🍼🍼🎂🍦🍧🍩🍕🍟🥧🧁🍰

SHE'S The One ❤❤❤
She has a realistic approach to eating when compared with the pedantic followers of keto and paleo. Also, she looks healthy.
She shows salmon as good. But actually there was a dr on utube that said ten foods y should avoid if y dont want to get cancer and one was salmon never eat this
She is great at communicating, and young. Not an MD and her Diet is not coherent but she is good at communicating
Most of us 'look healthy' when we’re young! I’m not a fan.

You are right
Maybe but some things are just good for you all around and are undeniable, nothing she says is revolutionary
I’m glad that she said the chocolate cake thing, and how to do something to minimize the impact when you have those moments of ….weakness? Pleasure?
I recently found out that obviously portion size is crucual for blood sugar and yes eating sweet things after a good meal is the better option.
I wish I had known this when I was younger.
I love this girl. She is amazing.
I am on Keto-OMAD and feel great!! Our bodies don’t need carbohydrates or sugars!
Wow that so much for this learning so much we’ll try her great ideas.I am diabetic two I live in Canada Toronto Ontario .❤❤❤🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🇨🇦

Always a important topic
Sugar has never given me energy.
In the end people eat what suits them.
Is it okay to eat butter or cheese with bread🍞 🥖? How to eat butter and cheese without bread.
She said at the beginning it is allowed to eat bread, but not to be dominating for breakfast.

What do u say about intermediate fasting is it good idea?
My father is a active 60 year old vegetarian without eggs (common practice in Buddhists and Hindus). Protein and b12 are a difficulty for him.
So he has dairy products but no eggs?
If I were him I would only eat eggs, it is the most important animal protein for vegetarians according to my dietitian. (i am vegetarian too)
How work this sugar theory for athletes? ATHLETES AND SUGAR?

That’s true I wanted to know what she ate but what if you are allergic to pasta xx
There is red lentil pasta, chickpea pasta and green pea pasta, you can even get soya bean pasta which is very high protein and low carb
Eat brown rice or quinoa
