another good informative video about rinseless, i found out about rinseless about year and i use it wintertime and for regular maintenance i enjoy using rinseless method
Thanks for watching man I love rinseless washing been my go to in my business, regular washes for a long time
Yeah I made a big mistake on my first go around with Idrosave and almost paid the price for it because I never use rinseless with protection in it, luckily it was on my aunt's vehicle which is swirl city and I was able to buff out the spotting afterward before it fully set up. I'm so used to DIY Rinseless and ONR that I didn't think twice to use Idrosave the same way I always use those ones which was a big no no. Here are some things I did with Idrosave which I shouldn't have done: Prespray the entire vehicle while in the sun, albeit a cool day... also presprayed it so much that the protection started to bead up on the paint so there were clear water droplets and clear "dry" areas that I left untouched for a little bit as I worked my way around the vehicle, I should have just done enough to get the product on the surface.... then I also used a hose setup I haven't used in many months to fill up my garden sprayer which probably had a good build up of minerals in it from hard water... So those were 3 things I had going against me which looking back now I realize how dumb it was for me to do all of that. Since that first wash though, I had done 2 more vehicles afterards with amazing results. Did panel by panel, dried immediately afterward, and I'm very surprised how slick everything was, how well Idrosave cleaned, and the surprising protection left behind on the paint and glass which is fairing very well in the rain. I didn't use any topper after the wash and it's been a nice experience. I never use rinseless that leaves a stout protection behind so it was a whole new washing experience for me which bit me in the butt my first time using Idrosave... that and my stupidity of other variables I decided to introduce into that first washing experience. I say the only downside for me in my area is that I cannot get the staining out of my Legacy Sponge, I did an APC soak, I did massage it, and it lightened a little but the staining is very much there. I think I'm only going to use the black part of the sponge next time I use it for Idrosave so I won't notice the staining haha, but I know it doesn't have any dirt on it which is good at least. With that being said, I now have a couple different wash solutions to use depending on how I feel like washing the vehicle and what I want the end result to be depending on if I need something left behind or not. Great video Eddie!
I did the same the first time of prespraying the whole car. I really wish it didn’t have the protection in there though. If I want to add protection, I’ll dry it with a sealant. I’m personally not a fan of having to do panel by panel.
Scott thanks for sharing this, it is differnet man and I wanted to share the experience that I had as well when I use to use others like used my then gamer.
I appreciate you EC , thank you for all you do. Im loving Idrosave.

Great video on rinseless Eddie 👍.
Thank you!
Great content, Eddie. I’ve used my Idrosave twice this week and whatever “protectant is left behind” is very minimal in my experience. It’s gone in 2 or 3 days at the most. Love the product, its cleaning power and slickness is impressive, UBS comes clean quickly too.
Maybe my first batch ingot before this one has more polymers - thanks for sharing your experience! I also appreciate you and thanks for leaving a comment
Great video as always brother! Can’t wait for Idrosave to hit Canada!
appreciate you bro!
My bottle of Idrosave just arrived today. Perfect timing for this video. Thanks for taking the time and effort to make a breakdown. Appreciate you!
Hey Stephanie hope the weather over wherre your at permits it! Cant wait to hear how your experience was
@Ecdetails It was frosty this morning but I was able to test it. Just did Idrosave as a one and done, and Jiminy Christmas that stuff is SLICK. Good cleaning power, went panel by panel as Reggy suggested due to direct sunlight. Car turned out beautiful, no spotting or streaking. I think it will make a great one step or drying aid. Oh, and the smell? Send me to heaven!
Stephanie! thats pretty cool! the smell is awesome , it cleans amazing and frankly as slick as some sealants. Thanks for sharing your story
Well, I realized Idrosave did stain my sponge though after being a dedicated DIY user for several months and the sponge always coming up clean. That bothers my OCD for having well maintained tools, hahaha. Guess Idrosave will get its own dedicated sponge now.
Good video Eddie 👍😎
Thanks 👍
Great video and takes and experiences of different rinseless washes! Even with my doorless garage 🤣 I was still able to wash outside with Idrosave and let dry.
Important thing you said understand your environment. 💪
Ya I know but that heat in other places hit different - I’ve used rinseless wash for years and I’ve never not had a rindless not stain my stuff it happens life
What are your thoughts
@@Ecdetails yeah but that’s with anything. I take for example rinseless washing in the cold below 32 degrees. Are you pre spraying the whole panel? Because then slush forms. I know you experienced that so you do section by section. Or 1-2 panels at a time.
Just depends on the environment in my honest opinion. I have humid heat 97 degrees in the summer time I use in in direct sunlight but do 1-2 panels max. Every situation is different.

Thank you 💯🔥
Rinseless is life.
yes!
Eddie is da MFKN MAN! Loved it like usual!!

I used to have water spot nightmares. I switched to using distilled water to make rinseless solution. Now I sleep like a baby every night.
100% I love to live on the wild side haha 😆 what I should really do is buy a di water thing and make my own clean water and let it be

Great great video big bro 💪🏼💪🏼👍🏻👍🏻 what’s the new rinseless you testing on the ads bottle. 🤔. Also soc has a brown tarp acting like a garage door. That should count for something 😂🤣
ADS new rinseless will be onethat most will be like wow
Super educational video!! My question now…how is Idrosave on interiors? Being that it leaves protection, would it be a one and done and what kind of finish will it leave…can’t wait to try it!!!
It's amazing for interiors. Cleans as well as DIY, but obviously has some protection, so there's no need for an extra step of dressing the interior on most vehicles. If you want that very rich darkening effect, then yes, you will have to follow up with your favorite dressing.
Great gift!
Same as old onr that left polymers, cleans good and leaves it looking good
Also thanks for watching!
DIY is the goat for me. I use it as an interior and glass cleaner as well. Works fantastic in my car.
Diy is great man , 2024 is gonna be a big turning point for rinseless
Great video Eddie, did I see a test bottle from ADS there on the table? 🕵♂️🕵♂️

Good video Eddie and all of those products are good products. I say use which ever product you like. Personally I buy DIY because they have more of a complete system. They have the sponge, the perforated towel, and an iron remover designed to all work together. I am not real bright so I like to keep it simple. Thank you for a good video and a I hope the family is doing well!
Neil , thanks for watching, I agree DIY has a complete system and they make a great rinseless! I still believe they need to tweak there rinseless to match that of mckees which Mike G said is smoother then thors body after coconut oil
Thank you.
I’m hoping the alkaline and acidic rinseless pre soaks can sit on the surface a bit longer. Being able to do a 3ph type wash rinseless would be awesome, but I’m not going to use 3 products and go panel by panel I don’t got time for that. I wish they just did a cleaning rinseless, I’ll add my own sealant if I want one.
They can its been tested and its surfactant base the rinseless will be the neutralizer when wiping with microfbier or sponge
Currently you prespray the whole car and use idrosave on top clean and dry baby
Man I need to start rinseless washing need to try it
Ya man it is fun so fun
Absolute is my go to for inside or outside rinseless Cuz!!!!
its good I use dIY outside
OR idrosave Panel b panel
Been using DIY since they came out .. but a revision of diy rinseless would be amazing
Isn’t it like year and a half old? Why revise a product for the sake of it. It may not be possible to improve on it easily. ONR got worse in some revisions.
@@chrisbradley3224agreed, but I don’t think they’d do a completely new formula or anything. It will probably be a minor tweak to add a little slickness. I trust that Yvan wouldn’t change it just for the sake of changing it.
@@ethanblan435I believe Yvan said they are working on a revision.
Love Diy and I agree they need to make a tweak
Ya I agree / disagree yvan is a goat and he is wise but if mckees can cout with a new rinseless with the same cleaning power but as the same characteristic as the other stuff why not . its like us we all do stuff to better our selves its the nature of the business.
DO I think DIY is horrid nah dude still king of surfactant - BUT it can be the goat of everything if that makes sense
Will you be trying out mckees 37 n914 version 2 ? Thanks for the videos
Ya ordered it last week waiting for them to deliver it will test right away and see about making a video
Yes sir great video EC,,, In your thoughts which one do you think cleans like your bucket tools such as your Sponge, Brushes & Towels the best? pulling the dirt off of them
I’ve tried both they both did a great job diy heavier surfactant will
Be a smidge better
Okay, Labo is my choice. It's the finish and feel of Labo that grabbed my smile. I learned with ONR how to beat the spots using it in our 100-degree summer weather, so it's not much of an issue. Also, about 99% of all my work is done in the shop. They are both fabulous, but my choice is now Labo. The 2 and 3 pH systems earned my loyalty after my first use. Eddie, when can we get Preludio Acid?
They are still
Going through the vda certification - I will say testing it and using it been amazing presoak 1:15 and rinseless right over it
Watched again I didn’t realize DIY would leave water spots if left with distilled water. Thanks!
Not with distilled you should be good - if your water source has any type of minerals and you let it dry you will get water spots
@@Ecdetails good to know guess I’ll start mixing with distilled just in case
Explains why I got some on our Honda Pilot I was wondering where they came from.
Thanks, Eddie! Question - what are your thoughts on the mitt slide that you have in your bucket?
Mitt slide I love it for how I can really scruv if I have dirt on the mitt and I love how it separates the water
DIY FOR THE WIN HANDS DOWN EDDIE I have zr53 cermic coating on my truck an harley an diy don't leave nothing behind to clog up my coating like the others ones do
DIY IS great and its a good choice
Thank you.
Eddie it’s fun to use multiple rinseless washes but I really only need DIY’s rinseless wash. For me there’s no need to spend more money on other products. I also do one side of the car, nose to tail, in the shade. Let it dwell clean it dry it off then do the other side of the car. Completely done in 20 minutes.
Yep! Diy rinseless is still amazing, it does need a refresh to join the way of changes from others like Mckees v2 etc
@@Ecdetails Eddie you know Yvan, he thoroughly thinks things thru. If making a change to the formula makes sense he will do it. He won’t do it just to do it. As with all detailing products that perform similarly it then comes it down to ease of use and most importantly price. Always enjoy your content and replies!
Thank you

I don’t know

Eddie bro, banger after banger. Do you recommend a pre soak/foam before using idrosave or diy Rinseless like with the amount of traffic film your car had?
Thank you so much man I appreciate your kind words.
Great question, I would of prespray half the car with a keg or sprayer let it dwel came back sprayed again and cleaned if I found that they didnt get all the road film off I would of went to a apc prespray rinse off with rinseless or hose and then did my wash step with rinseless
where you get your measuring cup? I have been looking to see if you link to it? Great videos.

@@Ecdetails thanks, I appreciate it!
I know I use rinsless a lil diffrent mainly onr I mix with distilled water and if I know its gonna be raining i pre spray later on at in evening and let rain act as pre rinse between eashes since I dont have garage caint wash when ever I like to attempt keep car clean
Keep it real
🔥
Thanks for the video! Just a question. Is it a deliberate decision to use a manual sprayer instead of a pump sprayer because of… more pressure maybe? Or was it just what you had at that moment? Thank you in advance.
Hey I stated in the video we were going to just use same sprayer bottles to show you can prespray the car with anything that works. I personally use IK sprayer or a detail keg when I rinseless, the higher the psi the more dirt it will loosen up
@@Ecdetails Thanks a lot. I may have missed that note. English is not my first language. Very much appreciated!
@@pavek all good my friend! have a great day
So basically you can pretreat with DIY detail, then do the contact wash with idrosave. Seems like a good combo.
I mean ya but Labo is coming out with a high ph rinseless that will be a pretreat then you can rinseless wash right over it.
@@Ecdetails that would be nice once it comes out.
Wish I saw this yesterday, got so excited for my idrosave delivery. Used it like I did with diy and ran into the problem with the spotting… the labo website says “Does not leave water marks, even with hard-water condition”… so sounds like now im probably going to have to do an acid wash. Sigh, they do mention going panel by panel. Wish I read better
ya I think there is a difference between water spotting meaning you left there for 2 days andyou need to use water spot remover vs polymer marks those come off just respray rinseless - opti coat, uber si02 does the same thing . Sorry that happened to ya it sucks and they should of explained it or came out with a video.
hey eddie,
After this video I have another question, I also use a rinseless for the interior. Idrasave then leaves a matte OEM finish on leather and plastic or does it become shiny.
I also use it to help dry and when the car is a bit dirty
I am currently using absolute but it is almost gone. DIY is a bit more difficult to get and that sponge certainly isn't. I have just about everything from labocosmatica, but when you apply a wax or sealant, a verticas first appears, so then everything is gone and the sealant can adhere well. So let idrasave have an oem Finnish in interior.
english is not my native language so don't judge me on my writing whahah love your videos greetings
It cleans it to matte during our test - I will try a section it removed dressing, and left it looking OEM
thank you

The Idiot Proof User's Guide to Rinseless . Great practical way to get the best results from different chemistry's of Rinseless. Irdosave for more protection with strong cleaning punch. Do you still need a drying aid with Irdosave since it's slick leaves little more on the surface?
No I dont but 50:1 idrosave is as stout and slick as most in the market. Appreciate you watching
I’m gay for rinseless
lol
I noticed you’re getting more dirt off than I typically do by using more pressure on the sponge. Have you ever had any marring issues? The only marring I’ve had is from film I didn’t pick up before drying 🤦♂️
Been doing this for years never an issue I did rock paint once when I tried to raw dog the paint once cause I was told years ago you don’t need to pre spray
@@Ecdetails 😂 one of those things you have to try at least once in your life!
@@Turbo6Detail lmao 🤣
Just an observation, but if your water is that bad, why not take steps to mitigate that? Fill the bucket and sprayer with DI water to resolve that core issue. Don't have a DI system, use a couple of gallons of distilled.
Facts - I personally wont do that cause I mitigated it by how I wash a car and do a rinseless, But your right easy fix man use DI water or distilled zero issues. Some people cant afford it or are just DIYer
Eddie I’m sure you have been asked this question before but I’d love your input if you don’t mind explaining. With a Rinseless wash, how do you know you are getting 100% of the car clean? Similar to others, I love rinseless washing but I always worry I didn’t get everything.
This such a great question there are few things I want to add that I didn't address in this video. During this video goal was to explain the difference between one with protection and a cleaner.
lets face it there are times when the car will require a bit mroe to get it clean, and here are some changes or ways to pivot
1. Super dirty car with heavy caked on road film I would use a APC (labo is coming out with one that you spray on and spray rinseless on top and clean and it cleans amazing) for now take your favorite apc prespray the lowers / tires and let it dwell. Depending on you rsprayer ( keg or bottle sprayer you can rinse the car off with rinseless or take a hose or pressure washer and spray it away
2. Put the hose away, spray the door jam with rinseless and the body and clean and dry,
This process will clean as good as any foam cannon.
Thanks for taking the time to respond. This makes perfect sense. I just received idrosave and can’t wait to try it out. Your videos are solid. Best of 2024 so far

@@Ecdetails I know, just messin witcha
What tldoes the phrase "becoming stout" mean?
The polymer in idrosave is a true polymer protection - it will last longer then 3 weeks so treat as such is what I mean
So pretty much using either DIY or idrosave products (in general) would be the same thing IF anyone washing thier cars are in a temperature controlled area and are washing their cars as maintenance washes? Not to ceramic coat after.
The goal of the video was to explain the difference inbetween both diy has zero protection and can do more of the car in direct sunlight idrosave had protection panel by panel
Not trying to get to technical but even using a polymer based rinseless like Idrosave on a hot panel out of the sun may cause less than desirable results.
Ya - I can see this tested in August here hot and got the results like I said every one world is different appreciate ya bro
@@Ecdetails Idaho hot panel and Phoenix hot panel very different. Like you said, situations can be different. I'm using distilled water from Sprouts in my rinseless keg and bucket so water quality not an issue in my scenario
@@masanta your right pheonix is hot as satans balls
I was the dumbass last weekend doing the labo in direct sunlight..it was finally a nice sunny day here, and i paid the price for my lack of vision ...
No more information should of been given, this is a true polymer protection and it leaves a polymer behind that is stout so I saw the same thing but changed it up panel by panel or one whole side. You'll get waterspotting with others
I know you are doing this for work and to make money and not just to wash your own car but if you just used distilled water wouldnt that solve water spotting and not in 100 degree weather and not all night
ya It would 100% alot of people wont do that though or just use a di water and fill your buckets and keg
Teach a man to fish…
