Seretse Small plays Chaka Khan's Ain't Nobody on Wine & Soul on his birthday September 27, 2023.
This is one of his favorite songs and it was done on the spur of the moment with no rehearsal. This arrangement was first performed as part of a tribute performance for the passing of Karen Smith, a dear friend and Jamaican singer who was considered Jamaica's songbird.
The lack of practice shows from coming out of retirement for many years but the ability to communicate with the band is a feature of the Wine and Soul series.
This is one of the few times where there were not extensive solo improvisations from the other musicains.
