Hello Ian. I bought it directly from the manufacturer for £59.99. Here's a link: shop.ringautomotive.com/rtc4000-cordless-rechargeable-tyre-inflator.html
It’s very cool that you can use a lead, should you need to connect it to the 12v socket. How long does the battery last? :) I know many factors like pressure, and temp can effect this. Cheers 😊
The 12V DC connector is one of the reasons I bought this pump. The battery's a 7.4V 5,000mAh. I didn’t run any tests to see how long it lasts. We’ll find out over time. Hope you’re well.
Brilliant. Thank you SOOOO much, this is a superb, very well explained review and tutorial of the product, which came with the worst instructions I have ever seen. Much appreciated - keep up the good work!
A good video and review as always. But if your able to use one a manual foot pump saves having a battery and using electric to charge it or the need for electric power from the car or other source. and is just about as portable.. Plus some may use small pumps like this beyond their capability, unless it has a thermal cut-out to stop it overheating so it might also take out some car fuses if plugged in..
@@raftonpounder6696, you like CSPTV obviously buy and use good quality ones and use them correctly, some others don't and don't. It may be that some have medical reasons to use them or just prefer to use them, I'm fortunate that, so far, I'm still able to use my choice of a manual footpump instead.
@@raftonpounder6696 I probably deal with a wider and different range of cars than you are thinking of. Not all cars have 12v aux or cigarette/cigar lighters and then there owners' own wiring and inflators of dubious build quality. But I take your point of a modern car with a reasonable quality inflater. For the last 30+ years most of the cars I had were without a 12v socket of any sort. Yes I could have wired one in, or converted to clips on the battery but the manual footpump was fine by me - and not wishing to frighten some most of the cars I removed the spare wheel, be it true space saver or full sized as I needed the boot space for luggage (wife's) and I travelled many, many thousands of miles like this all across the UK, (correction) and parts of Europe. I bet there's at least one if not two regular posters here that have vehicles without 12v sockets too. But as always each to there own and I agree with you that a modern vehicle and reasonable inflator wouldn't (usually) blow a 25 amp car fuse.
I got one today and it does not switch on. When I connect the charger, it shows full green bar but justwon't switch on. Does it have to be connected top the tyre before you can switch it on which would be daft?
Excellent video, but do you have to press the right hand video before the middle one to inflate, or only to change the units or use the memories? From watching another video, I think so.
Interesting video. I have been looking at similar devices, and many seem to be aimed at topping up a tire, but not inflating it from nearly flat. Do you think this would cope with a nearly flat tire?
Excellent video, but two things about charging. 1. Start engine before using the cigar lighter (12 V DC) to charge. 2. Which is quicker, charging by USB or by 12V DC?
TOP MAN afternoon from singapore JUST ORDERED THIS WAS £59 on ring site got a email discount welcome10 now £54 free postage and 2yr warranty just ordered for my brother in uk for his battered porsche 😂😂 scrap it brother
Mine When The battery run’s out, full discharged, it doesn’t work with The 12v cable. The power is not sufficient to run it well, it goes off quickly. I only have this problem ?
Next time the pump's battery is flat, I suggest you try to power it from the 12V socket in a different car. If it works, you know the problem is your car rather than the pump. Good luck.
@@CarSpyTV maybe my pump has some problem. I tried with 3 different 12v, on my bike, my car, and on a jump starter. It quit fast. Also it doesn’t charge. I have to charge a lil bit with usb c , than it charge with The 12v. But it is not enough to work well only with 12v and battery flat.

No worries, Ian. I think you'll find it invaluable.
@CarSpyTV much better than the old foot pump
and Argos
Thank you, a lot more helpful than the instructions provided.
Only just used the product for the first time, but it seems excellent.
Thank you. Glad the video helped.
Very clear, helpful and useful video. Thank you.

I've just used it to pump 8 tyres on 2 cars and the battery hasn't gone down even one bar.
@@toadds that’s impressive. Thanks for the feedback :)
Brilliant! Had this for weeks but couldn’t understand the bloody instructions. Watched this and it’s sorted. Thanks so much 👍
You're welcome, Ian. Glad the video helped.
Great video explains everything very clearly and comprehensively
Thank you. That's appreciated.
That was very well explained. Thank you. Must get one for myself.
Glad you enjoyed the video, Anne.
Very good video, clear and concise. The instruction is useless. Thank you very much.

Glad you enjoyed the video, Nta16. I'll let you know if there are any long term issues with this pump. So far so good!
Nonsense. I have used tyre inflators like this for 30 odd years with no issues.

@@nta.16 they will never blow your vehicle’s fuse because the fuse in the actual inflator is 10amp and your 12v socket is 25amp.

Where did you get in from?
Direct from the manufacturer. I paid £59.99.
Also available from Argos uk

I didn't like the instruction booklet either
Funny enough, I'm using the pump right now. Glad the video helped and Best wishes from CarSpyTV.
Excellent analysis 👌
Thank you. That's appreciated. More videos to follow.
Thanks for the entertaining video!
Do you think the inflator would be able to pump 80PSI in to bicycle road tyre?
Thank you. Glad you like the video. The pump's gauge goes to 120PSI, so it should be fine for your bike.
How many tyres will it pump on battery?
Depends on the size of the tyre, its current pressure, the recommended pressure, and ambient temperature. In summary though, decent battery life.
How does one know when the battery is charged fully..Mine is flashing, but I guess it will take 4 hours.
I got one today and it does not switch on. When I connect the charger, it shows full green bar but justwon't switch on. Does it have to be connected top the tyre before you can switch it on which would be daft?
Hello. The pump can be turned on without being connected to a tyre. Good luck getting it sorted.
Excellent video, but do you have to press the right hand video before the middle one to inflate, or only to change the units or use the memories? From watching another video, I think so.
I mean the right hand BUTTON of course.
Hello. It isn’t compulsory to press the right button before inflating. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Thanks for that,
I would without the video have had no idea how to use the inflator@@CarSpyTV
Interesting video. I have been looking at similar devices, and many seem to be aimed at topping up a tire, but not inflating it from nearly flat. Do you think this would cope with a nearly flat tire?
Hello. Mine pumped up a small car tyre that was completely flat (14 inches). There were no issues.
@@CarSpyTV Thanks, that's most appreciated...
There is apparently now a RTC 6000, which I would guess might be more powerful.
Does the Osram brand use this name in the UK?

No, but the tyre inflator is.
