- Just a quick little video showing the interior features and storage compartments of a 1999 crv ex. This model has the feature to fold the seats down into a bed for camping. As well as the picnic table. Very cool car ahead of it's time as fast as comfort and storage and features. Truly a fantastic car
I agree Kathryn & others. So dirty even the change stayed right in the cup holder. I say look up Detail Geek that guy is awesome!
That sleep option is AMAZING! Why would they discontinue a cool feature like that??

I have a 2006 Honda CRV that I've owned for 7 years. I absolutely love it. I had no Idea that the seats lay flat to make a bed. Thanks for making a video on this.

Yes my 2006 does but the back seat doesn't recline back. The front seat just lays flat to meet with the back seat. Still comfy.

The bed designs are fabulous. I’ve been wandering why more vans don’t have seats that lay flat! It’s a lot of work on many camper van owners to make their bed platform. And yours looks comfortable, but if its not, you can simply use a bed pad or memory foam. Some of the bed pads are blow up and easy to stow away in a small area. The memory foam comes in a tri-fold from Amazon and you can use it as a seat cushion when you are tail gating.
I also love your split back door. Half of it raises up and with a tarp (and a couple of cords and anchors), can give you shade from the sun. And the bottom half of the door offers privacy from that side. It’s great. Now all its need is climate control, like the prius!!!
Oh, Honda seats have ALWAYS been comfortable and MOST DURABLE . 20 years, 228444 miles and still showroom perfect.

Just in case people dont knoe, underneath the table is actually a cooler you can put ice and drinks. It’s actually not a spare tire spot that’s what ur 5th wheel is for. I hope this helps a lot of other people that own a crv. Hope everyone has a blessed day/night
Excellent job on this video. I am picking up an '04 (manual), in two weeks, and I bet the storage space locations are pretty much the same. I didn't look real close at every compartment, but seems to have pretty much what I see here. Very practical, very sensible, very cool little vehicle, and the reviews are in the 90% range all the time, from everyone. I am amazed what I've seen these do off-road in youtube videos. Apparently, that compartment you have the floor jacks and what not in is also a very efficient ice cooler. Remove screws to drain the melt water out. The seats folding down like that are awesome. I don't think the '04 has that option (reclines but not as flat as you can achieve from what I understand). Great to have a solid, waterproof, interior when winter (or any season), camping and all hell breaks loose. "See ya' in the morning, tent." Throw a few candles and a wool blanket in there, if your in cold enough climate. Great video man. PEACE!

My odyssey does the bed thing too. Pretty cool on long trips, I set the passenger side up that way.

I must say, I'm jealous. I bought a used 2005 CR-V this past January. I live in MA and bought it because it's an Alabama car. No rust or rot. I quickly grew to hate it. The seats are leather-ish and they SUCK. I didn't notice it on the short test drive. I'll never make that mistake again. They're too sloped and too hard. They press into the back of my thighs and make my feet go numb. If I add a cushion to even it out and soften it, the lumbar bump in the seat backing is in the wrong place, so it kills my back and prevents me from getting far enough away from the pedals. Yes, the seat is pushed all the way back. With a cushion, I also end up sitting on the bolsters rather than between them, which kills my right hip. I swear the seat is sloped towards the middle of the car. I had an auto upholsterer place to try to fix it, but since I don't have another car to drive and you can't swap the seats, all they could do was add padding. Didn't help much. Now it's like sitting on an exercise ball, and I can still feel the bolster. My left hip is fine, but my right is in agony, even after getting the seat "fixed". I miss my 98 Cherokee, but after 14 years and 418 hard-won miles, it and it's seat were on their last legs. I've been told the CR-V seats can't be replaced because they are part of the airbag system. If I had money I'd ditch it for something else. I noticed your seats have two adjustment knobs. Mine only has one. I suspect you can adjust the front of the seat?
Yes one knob moves the rear of the butt part up and down, ad the other dial moves the front up and down. If I were you I'd just replace the seats with some cloth ones. Even if it's part of the airbag system if you get cloth seats from a 2005 and plug in all the right connectors it should work fine.
@@GWaddCustoms There is a wrecker lot near me with a CRV that has the cloth seat version of mine. I'd buy it but after seating in it for a while I realized it wasn't much of an improvement. It would fix the hip issue, but would still press into the back of my legs. I guess I'm stuck with the fix I got. I put a cushion on top and it's a little better. It's a shame, really. The car is great for commuting otherwise.
Honda seat bottoms are adjustable for thigh comfort. Just turn the knob on the side. I have 2001 SE with leather - it's NOT FAKE . 20 YEARS, 228.4K MILES. still like new in WISCONSIN winters.
I have a2001 I use constantly for sleeping in for work.

I knew when I got this thing it had some hidden features so I just youtubed it... I'm not going to check for the picnic table until I can do it on video so I can post a video about it because that sounds super cool. And I know my seats fold down like that so I can probably get an air mattress or something and it would be super comfortable.
I have the exact model year everything. Everything looks exactly the same except I have no lever on side of the back seat to lift up to fold the seat down! Thoughts?

That’s very rude of you......I love his car! People work very hard making a bed platform. And all he needs is a pad or memory foam. Or it might be comfortable as is. And I really love how he has a split back door! The top raises up, and with a tarp, he can have a sunshade. And the side door offers privacy on that side. It’s great, amd probably gets great gas mileage.
I’m pretty sure he doesn’t do housekeeping to make YOU happy, and I wouldn’t either. Man, people, stop judging end get over yourselves.
