“Shouldn’t be messy”
*squeezes egg yolk everywhere*
Yeah, but at least there were no croissant flakes.
Lol
@undeadquixote79 yeah they are a disaster to have all over your car, whereas the eggyolk with just drip all over your clothes and the car stays clean.
I don’t understand why he couldn’t have seen the inconsistency in his reasonings
@@eross21363 His reasoning is personal, everyone is like that.. And as the title implies, it's his personal, perfect breakfast sandwich
cardiologists loves this sandwich
I guess you could call it a “heart stopper” sandwich
@@srd1997 sounds like something you can find in arby's
Everything in moderation & is a treat. I made this & we loved it!
I am having a heart attack just watching this lol.
😂😂
I don't agree with all of the choices, but I love how he explains his reasoning for everything (except the sauce), which allows you to customize if you disagree. Personally, bacon and sausage is a bit too much, and maple-glazed bacon is too sweet for me. So I'd go with a (thinner) sausage patty and maybe a hot sauce.
This is a very generous review!
I think maple bacon is ok that sweetness can be customized to counteract the saltiness of the bacon or sausage. But I do want some spice, so I would probably make an aioli with the eggs given to make homemade mayo with lime juice and hot sauce, so u get that acidity, creaminess and spice all tgt.
I feel like he just chose mayo, then didn't put it in the sauce section. Anyway way to unhealthy for me. I lean much more towards a bacon and egg mcmuffin.
@@AnimeReferenceok you say that's too unhealthy but you prefer a mcmuffin!😅 I think the reasoning is not quite consistent there
@@amberbernstein385😊
Saying “Pepper Jack cheese is too overpowering” is something that I thought The Golden Balance would say to make fun of Nick, not an actual quote lmao
Nick? What are you doing here?
There is a saying in peru…chefs are not rivals since long ago
BEC on a Kaiser. The breakfast sandwich of LI known around the world as the best. I have no clue what he’s doing.
I'm only 6 seconds In and I expect nick to do his iconic knife throw.
@@culifabrizio1479i'm peruvian and i didn't hear that
He’s here because manny is fired.
Breakthrough: they have invented a bagel without anything stuck to it.
Poor dude didn't know plain bagels existed!
Dude was worried about seeds and got sausage and egg yolk everywhere.
An unexpected collab, but a very welcome one
Agreed 😂
A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one
When you're done with that, it's time for dinner. And then a burger fits in there too.
Win win situation 😂
You talk about reducing mess with the bread, but then you're full on yolk... I'd be more worried about that in my car than the croissant.
Same reason he went against the bagel, even though that yolk would be running down the sides of the sandwich way before it ever found its way into the hole underneath.
Nick telling me to make the perfect Sandwich? Nah imma do my own thing
It's so cool seeing Nick on this channel! I love his new cookbook
It feels great to see Nick again. So happy he's still doing cooking.
I LOVE that you show alternatives! 😍
Italian sausage with a maple bacon seems like an strange pairing.
The amount of butter and mayonnaise just 💀💀💀
This just shows you are ignorant.
One would say this sandwich is a “heart stopper”
My mind said yes but my diabetes said “NO”
ah yes. Perfectly balanced. I would like to make that sandwich even more fatty cuz i don't really eat sandwich every day.
One of these in the morning, and you are ready to get a heartattack.
need to do more of these!
Interesting collab, great as always, Nick!
I would say the sausage patty is too big and I would have painted the syrup on the bacon before I put the brown sugar on it. And a Kaiser roll is a much better choice than a brioche bun. I’m surprised he didn’t even bring that into the conversation.
Kaiser roll a big YES.
NO WAY YALL JUST GOT NICK, BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR YEARS THANK YOU!
The collaboration we didn't ask for but needed 🎉
This is amazing seeing Nick on Epicurious wow 🤩
Nothing against the guy personally, but I was gritting my teeth quite a lot while watching this vid
And you're so soft you sat through most of it
It was the tediousness of every step. Picking up every ingredient offered and explaining why he wouldn't be using the obvious joke ingredients was like nails on a chalkboard. I had to stop when he picked up the caviar.
Is this a "perfect" sanwich or just the most standard one imaginable
THANK YOU!
Pretty sure Wendy's sells this as a Baconator Breakfast Sandwich, but with actual breakfast sausage.
Made these today. The family loved them, thanks for a great recipe & technique!
Trying to get your family into an early grave are you. /s
@@x.k.b.w.6716bro did him dirty 💀‼️
About the mayo…my dad used to make scrambled eggs with mayo and parmesan cheese. I know it sounds weird but it was delicious, totally on board with the mayo on the bun!
No that sounds absolutely delicious. My roommate's wife used to do that but with aged cheddar.
Mayo is basically just egg and oil with a little seasoning. and that's egg fried in oil with a little seasoning. so makes sense!
"I dOnT WAnT iT MeSSy" - Proceeds to make a runny yolk and ground sausage that doesn't form into a patty sandwich... SMH
Wow congrats on the collab Nick
Not having a traditional or kaiser roll as an option on this is criminal.
Lets go nick on epicurious!!!!
Finally Nick is on Epicurious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love your guys videos and I love that nick is in this episode
This collab is amazing hahaha
When he said eggs, I thought he was talking how they should be cooked which, if you ask me, should definitely be addressed.
this was great!!
How long did you cook and what temp did you cook the bacon? 😊
I love starting my day off with an arterie clog! Thanks Nick❤❤
The yoke as a sauce has always been a favorite go to of mine, with just a sprinkle of salt.
First bite might taste like heaven, second one would take you there
I like seeing nick with this chill editing
I WILL cook this next weekend as brunch for my family. Can’t wait to try it out.
ah yes, i too love to wake up 5 hours before i usually get up, to make a sandwich. brilliant!!!
I love this guy, I hope we have him back again
That isn't an egg sandwich. It's a pork sandwich, with an egg.
it isn't trying to be either. the title says 'breakfast sandwich'.
Nick Di is the best!!!!
Certainly a perfect sandwich, yummy..
Now we need Joshua Weissman on here and the trilogy is complete.
That is the BEST breakfast sandwich I've ever seen - guess what I'm cooking at breakfast tomorrow. Thanks a ton Nick!
Nick, thanks.
It's looks so tasty, and for me watching your cooking was very delightfull.
As a European, I find it crazy that Americans call hamburgers “breakfast sandwiches”...
as a Indian, I find it crazy that Europeans eat incest
It’s just a bad breakfast sandwich tbh he made it like a burger
This is a pretty poor breakfast sandwich honestly. an entire italian sausage for breakfast is odd. Plus he didn't have any sauce. Just butter!
I'm not American but imo, any bread is breakfast bread if you have it for breakfast. It is his sandwich anyhow
Kaiser rolls are a solid bread choice for breakfast
After watching that am just going to have cornflakes cuz that's too much to do in the morning 😂
Bro if i have time and patience to paint mayo on every nook and cranny of my breakfast sandwich and toasting it thoroughly before starting my day of double jobs, i don't know what world I'm in
what if you put the duck egg in the ring mold?
at what temperature do you cook your becon in the oven?
I go between 20 minutes at 375 or 15 at 400. If it's not crisp enough to my liking, just put the pan on the stove for a minute or two.
So the yolks in the blue eggs have sooooo much flavor. It’s not about just the look!
Whenever I use butter, I am afraid I am using too much butter until I watch cooking videos. This is tooooo much butter. And i am not eating a whole Italian sausage in the morning.
Weak
Wow! We should use chicken eggs for breakfast?!?!?! Incredible insights in this video.
Now im hungry!
This sandwich is an all-day sandwich since it'll supply you will all calories you're supposed to eat in an entire day..
Or because it'll take me all day to make one 😂
NICK?! Nice.
Using Italian sausage without the casing when you can just buy regular breakfast sausage in a roll form is crazy lmao
I like the fact that this is HIS perfect sandwich and it is his opinion but the majority of the comments are disagreeing. This video is not to agree or disagree, it is about his take on this and for entertainment, it is HIS opinion, if you don't want to follow it, then just don't.
I know. But he posted and we're allowed to express opinions.
i love how with the cheese he didn't even talk about that bag of shredded cheese
I swear, Nick is gonna be the *Nick* Fury of the Chefverse.
"You eat with your eyes"
Yeah, and I breathe through my fingers too >_>
so quick & no mess ;)
😁 yes, and if you are ready, its almost time for dinner
i love nick, but this is frank territory
Just give me a Taylor ham egg and cheese on a hard roll and let me go on my way. Jersey, baby!
I need to see Nick and Frank do an episode together
I would have used sage sausage, but that's just my preference.
you should have brushed the maple syrup before putting the brown sugar on top so it sticks to it (you brushed it away). 2nd thing, I was like I hope he doesn't break the yolk... just like all media videos, why? just bite it and let it bleed.
Personally, I break the yolk with a fork or something after I place it on the sandwich so that the yolk has time to spread and I get more bites with yolk in it.
"Your eggs, your meats"💀
Love that delicious pink Italian sausage 🙄
Yes!! That sausage wasn't cooked through, and why Italian sausage? Breakfast sausage on a breakfast sandwich. There wasn't anything special about this at all.
9:22 how long did he put the bacon in the oven for ?
I can't answer for him, but as someone who regularly bakes bacon, it's about 20 minutes at 375, or 15 minutes at 400 degrees. It cooks slower than it does on the stove, but it cooks more evenly.
my heart just stopped-
Alternate title:chef makes an expensive mcgriddle
Perhaps do have a quick check if your fire alarm goes off!
Isn't that pork sausage undercooked??
I can't bring myself to pay brioche prices
the butter budget is off the chart..
my cardiologist friend recommended this method
😋 Mmm Mmm Mmm
Great production quality and very well thought out in terms of flow & structure. Really nice to watch, props where props are due.
I don’t normally give thumbs down on videos.. but as soon as he said a bagel isn’t appropriate for a breakfast sandwich.. I just knew what I needed to do
I did the same thing haha! Except my reasonings were because he didn't mention Kaiser buns, other methods of cooking the eggs, or about using breakfast sausage patties. Italian sausage isn't my cup of tea first thing in the morning..
Would be interested to know how many caloirices there are in that thing. That’s really not a breakfast sandwich, it’s a combined breakfast and lunch snacks. Looks delicious though 😊
This is at least a 1000-1200. Bun is 500-600 with the butter/mayo alo, egg + cheese 250-300, bacon + maple syrup 300, sausage pattie 300 for a total of 1350😮
stop policing other people's food, you weirdo. calories are fatphobic construkt.
TH-camrs and youtube channels having the best collabs ever is the real multiverse of madness! So excited to see Nick here!
Breakfast sausage patty not Italian, go for the chicken eggs with the real color since it will be the sauce, nothing on the bacon unless you want to use brown sugar, put a thin layer of homemade grape jelly on your bun if you want something sweet on there... it goes great with salty meats.
A breakfast item needs: bread, sausage, 🥓, 🥚, and 🧀!!!
its lunch time already
Nick said he wanted to "Elevate" every ingredient but proceeds to use the most basic stuff🤣🤣🤣
Nice video, but omg how much butter was that? Haha
Have to use all the butter to balance the mayo. 🤔
No one puts blue cheese in breakfast sandwiches
Duh. I found that an odd clarification. Also, are people really out here debating duck, quail, emu and caviar eggs for breakfast? lol
The best sandwich is the one you like to eat and easiest to make.
now im hungry, thanks Nick :D , that Sandwich looks amazing and i bet it tastes the same
Oh yum! definitely going to try this... Not an over easy egg tho, they're the ones you flip...this egg is sunny side up :)
I like having 🥐or banana clices on bread. Or some kind of fruit in the morning.
You missed the ultimate bun. The Scotch morning roll.
If you’re using a ring mold what does it matter if the egg is big? It’s going to be the same diameter no matter what so why not use the duck egg?
How dare Nick not even mention the option of a hard roll.
