I have limited workshop time so I try to do projects that I enjoy... it should be fun.. not a chore... Take care...All the best.....Andy
Andy, let me tell you what you need to turn next: A big fat hungry cat 🐈 that‘s what you need now… You‘ve got TWO mice running loose in your workshop, and with Ivy more interested in treats than in wildlife on her plate, you‘ll soon have an underground tube system in your beautiful garden otherwise 😂 Having said that, I think they look super cute, Mr. & Mrs. Daisy and Maxie Mouse 🐭 🐭 I think they might even be my favourite little creatures so far… but still we should try to keep the population down, you know… 😉 As you say, I fully agree, less is more, and the patches of bark look great, needless to say the shape is just 👌🏻 as always, well done, Andy, you‘ve created the cutest little characters, really lovely 👍🏻😊 You know what always amazes me? That with the weather you have got in North Cornwall, you actually manage to get these logs halfway dry 😂 Bravo Andy 👏🏻 Great video, thank you for sharing 🙏🏻 Take care, stay warm and dry 😉 Byeeeee 👋🏻😉👋🏻 Jude
Hi Jude... Ahh .. that's a great idea... I have a design for a cat so it may be coming soon... You know Ivy only too well... she is only interested in the treets when she comes to my workshop... I'm glad that you liked them and I will have to write down all these names and pop them onto the bases of all the little animals... Thank you again for all your kind words... Have you got a favourite animal... most people have... although I don't think that I have one myself... apart from Ivy of course... I'm not sure that anything truly dries out down here... When I lived in Yorkshire it was colder but much drier... Thank you again Jude Take care...All the best.....Andy 👋😉👋☔🐭🐁
@@AndysCornishCreations Oh great, a cat 🐈 can‘t wait to see what it will look like 👍🏻 mmmmh… I cannot say that I have a favourite animal per se… Having grown up on a farm, we had all sorts of animals, even peacocks 🦚 but my special pet was my cat 🐈 who was really my doll… I used to dress him up and all sorts of nonsense, poor little chap… Our dogs were not so much the cuddly type, more the cattle type, if you know what I mean… And the rabbits ended up in the casserole… So the vote would go to my cat for sure 👍🏻 Looking forward to seeing your cat 😊🐱 Take care, Andy, so long 👋🏻😉👋🏻 Bye, Jude

That was very enjoyable Andy! You have definitely become the Master of making little animals. I love them all. I’ve just started on penguins (haven’t perfected that yet) but now I need to add mice to my list 😁 So cute. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Jeanie...
Thank you... I'm glad that you like them....
I like the Penguins... do you use 2 different woods glued together ?
I hope that you enjoy making these little guys...

@@AndysCornishCreations Yes, I’m gluing up walnut and maple. Just haven’t figured out the right proportions yet.

Thank you for your kind words...to inspire someone to make something is a lovely thing...
I have limited workshop time so I try to do projects that I enjoy... it should be fun.. not a chore...

Thank you again Jude
Take care...All the best.....Andy 👋😉👋☔🐭🐁
Very cute! I'll probably try that myself! I haven't started turning yet, but I'm saving up for a lathe and all the tools. This looks like fun! Thank you!
Hi Jeff...

A really cute little guy Andy. Plastic eyes, from China? I don't think you buy them as 'Eyes'.
It would interest me to know what you use for them. Thnx for sharing! 😎
Hi, they are on ebay as craft eyes in several sizes, hope this helps. I got the idea from Andy as well.👍👍
Hi Leo...
Thank you.. I'm glad that you liked it...
As Gary said... they are 6mm craft safety eyes... Ebay.. Amazon... or China...
I bought them specifically for these projects...

I could do this right up to the point where the CA glue comes out. I tend to glue things to my fingers and have been known to glue my fingers together.

Love it! Where would you get the eyes? What would be a sales price? Do you make any other easy animals? I don't know how to look them up. This is so precious and you are a good teacher!
Hi Ila...
Thank you very much...
The eyes are 6mm black plastic craft eyes ... you can get them on Ebay or Amazon or craft shops..
They would probably sell for £5 or £6 ..
I have a few videos with easy animals to make...

@@Metal-Detecting-Texas Hi Matt
Thank you.. I'm glad that you liked it..
It's coming along slower than I would have liked..
I have almost finished digging out for the foundations last week but I can't do any more until after this week..

Really nice Andy!! Hmmm,,,,where can I get a branch??
Hi Buttermilk...
Thank you very much...
This one was a branch from a Hawthorn tree...

What size eyes and black studs and where do you get them from please, Happy New and thanks for your video’s.
Hi Ronald...
They are 6mm black safety craft eyes... from Ebay or Amazon...
I drill a 4mm hole to fit them...
I hope that you enjoyed my videos...
I wish you and yours a happy new year...
Take care...All the best.....Andy
What kind of wood did you use? Also, what was the beginning dimensions of the blank you started with? Thanks, Stuart
Hi Stuart...
This was a branch of Hawthorn...
It was about 5 inches long and about 3 inches in diameter...
The finished mouse is just over 3 inches long and 1 and 3/4 inches in diameter......
But the beauty of these little guys is that you can make them what ever size you want...
Take care...All the best.....Andy
Great job Andy, do you want to swap your mice for some pesky real ones we have in our workshop? 😂
