Thanks for the video! Easy project, took me right about an hour and a half including a trip to the parts store for a fuse tap.

@@xtramediumminimoto I did have to cut the battery cover a little since it wouldn’t fully close. But that just a minor cut to make space for the fuse jumper.

I swapped the two wires on the high beam indicator and it works as it should. The turn signals may depend on what type you’re using and what relay. I’m using relay from 12o’clock labs.
Why have I seen no one else do it this way. I've never heard of a add a circut before. Can you please clarify what size tap you used. I'm confused by the ATO, ATC, Mini and micro. Thanks.

@ethan hood they’re Chimera U-bomb bars with woodcraft clip ons from steadygarage.com mine are about 1.5” lower than stock also because I used PCX150 parts.
You need an “add a circuit” from any local auto parts store, about 8-10 inches or wire and a spade connector. US Navis use a mini fuse, Mexican navis use full size fuses (for the add a circuit)
Not sure I can explain it completely but the Navi is wired very similar to a MUCH older and less complicated bike. It uses AC for the lights because they’ll still function with a dead battery. So it can still be kick started, and ridden even if the battery is dead. It’s a safety function. However it’s ALSO a safety function to upgrade the lights for better vision and to be seen easier.

Sorry I don’t really know what you mean. The way I show how to do it requires no splicing. I only recommend doing it this way because I’ve done it on several Navi with no problems.
I have no idea what that wire would already have been used for so I really can’t tell you if it will work or if it’s safe. I’d undo whatever was done previously and start over to make sure it’s all going to work correctly.

Thank you! I was able to keep the high beam indicator by simply switching the two wires that go to the bulb under the cluster. Turn signal indicator can be tricky with LEDs, mine only indicates the left side. I need to add a resistor somewhere if I want that one to work correctly also.
I'm pretty sure the turn signal kits I've seen do come with resistors to stop weird and fast blinking. But I seen you tell someone else that this conversion doesn't get rid of the flicker 100%. In the video it looks like the flicker was gone, did it start to flicker again after you switched them to leds?
Mine really doesn’t flicker much if at all. Maybe a bit if the idle drops but my lights have all been pretty consistent. People using different parts may have a different experience.
@xtramediumminimoto no worries. I actually looked at the wire on the "add a circuit" and it said 16 awg.. which means that its a 16 gauge. So I figured it out 😅 only problem is the female disconnects I bought were wrong and don't fit to the brown wire I popped out. I think I need specifically a female "spade" connector. I just put the project to sleep last night. Gonna continue on today.

Not at all. I have a battery tender cable attached but haven’t used it in well over a year, no issues with the battery on either of my Navi so far. And they sit for months at a time between rides.

I followed everything on the video and got only my front headlight LED and I added 2 LED explorers but the lights are still flickering. The weird part of this is that when the engine isn't on but the ignation the lights do not flicker, any solutions or did I do something wrong?

In the comments, but easiest thing to do is grab one of the fuses from your Navi and go to your local auto parts store. Ask for an ‘add-a-circuit’, a foot or so of wire and a small package of female (most come with male and female) spade connectors.
You need to do the AC to DC conversion first, but the relay posted above is all I used on both my Navi. With different lights, your results could be different but I’m confident you won’t need anything else.
And after you do this you can have an led head light and tail light? All you have to do is take out the old bulbs and put led ones?@@xtramediumminimoto

That’s a personal preference mod really. Not super important to make it close but I did something similar on one of mine.

I have a very slight flicker at idle until the bike is warmed up but it’s been good so far. To be fair I probably have less than 2k miles on it.

You made taking the brown wire out look so easy, but I’ve been trying for 30 minutes with no luck. Any tips?
Take a break, and try it again. Sometimes it can be a real PITA but once you get the feel for de-pinning connectors it’s not too hard.

I have all LED lights now but I think it was a halogen in the video. Yes you can do the AC-DC conversion with original bulbs and it still helps.
Is the battery a regular 12v or something else? Can you charge it with a normal trickle charger?
Yes it’s just the normal battery that came with the bike. I haven’t needed to change it.

Whats the point? It’s in the title and in the video. You can’t use LED lights without the conversion.

It may be the added lights, this conversion doesn’t get rid of the flicker 100% but it’s a major help. Does it go away as the engine revs up?

Do you know if you could plug a light bar or aux light of some sort into the open slot that you took the brown wires out from to power it up?
Maybe if the light bar was halogen and grounded properly but I wouldn’t recommend doing it that way.

You could splice it in to power from the original head light, add an inline fuse and a switch to ground.

I honestly can’t remember but I just match it up the add-a-circuit wiring. I want to say 14-16 if I had to guess.
