I feel like Arin would be surprisingly good at the real life version if it took place in a space he knows well like his office or home. He’s an artist, and they tend to be keyed in to the look of their surroundings pretty deeply.
At its heart, it was proven that most train accidents occurred due to an absurdly large artichoke that was carelessly left or was somehow growing on the tracks.

I feel like 90% of the difficulty here is keeping Arin focused for 30 minutes straight... yet seeing those moments where he suddenly just picks out something nobody else saw when he was hanging too long on a screen makes me wonder if its better to just let him wander around.
It might be an adhd thing? I know my friend has mentioned before that sometimes you need to feel like stuff is happening around you in order to focus, even if that sounds counterintuitive? Like, if you're just left in silence to focus on a single thing, you can't focus on anything, but if you're doing something or listening to something that doesn't take a lot of your attention to process, it makes focusing easier? This is me paraphrasing from what my friend with adhd has told me tho, so anyone who has firsthand experience can surely correct me if I've gotten anything wrong.

The A.D.D brain works differently. -There's times when focusing hard leads to fixation on a screen -Then there's most of the time which is not focusing on any one screen in particular, letting passive mode kick in You can actually feel when Arin is switching modes

You have to find the secrets to really get a grasp on it, although it's rather (purposefully) vague, but it's got a plot! Every game in this series has a secret(fourth happens at random like this one). The man you saw in the secret is Timothy!! He always appears in the secrets(except the third, he's only mentioned in the third) The first-third games you seek the secret. The first one you were starting the secret up(clicking the blinky thing in the kitchen that's like "balcony, 3:30, enter year of mandala's death") but never got anywhere with it 😔

So, I have pretty severe misophonia and eating/gum chewing and some other specific noises just flood my entire being with white hot rage and panic. For some reason, the only creatures whose mouth noises aren’t a problem for me are infants and dogs, and also Arin. I used to think my brain could somehow parse the difference between creatures who can and can’t help making awful noises… but Arin falling into that gap is inexplicable.
All 3 of them saying "space missing between 5 and min? No way they'd do something that small." Meanwhile, me every time they land on that screen: tunnel vision laser focus on the lack of space between 5 and min.
