I ALMOST Got Spooled on the Pensacola Fishing Pier Then This Happened!

Mercs called the gang up for some pier fishing since the weather was gorgeous . I stopped at gulf breeze bait and tackle picked up a few pro gotchas because the regular ones were gone since the Spanish mackerel bite has been good . Caught a bunch of fish , got almost spooled by a 6 ft shark (accidentally deleted the footage ) and seen a cobia get landed .Good day make sure to check out mercs and cody .

Cobia like to roll when you gaft them so it’s not the easiest and being on the pier makes it challenging . But I thought Mr. 50$ a hour for massive fishing skill increases would of got him first shot 🤣

You should start hooking up those smaller fish as bait. Blue runners and ladyfish are great baits.

The treble hook lift We use that up in ct all the time but we use a carabiner to trace the line and it makes it much easier to lift the fish and hook it freakin barbarian to wack that fish who knows how many times . Look man I fished all over troll me if you want because I don’t care . Try the info help and see how it works .

Nah man I ain’t gonna troll you . I dabble in pier fishing so I know a little bit but not a ton. I just share what works for me and how . I appreciate the comment I love having fishing conversations or learning new stuff. The system you described does it have a name I can look up or a video so I can watch and understand ?

@@DougieBFishing no video I grew up in Bridgeport Ct surrounded by saltwater tons of piers and bridges my brother and I used the large treble hook for pulling up the fish from pretty high areas but without something to guide the hook down the fishing line it was horrible so we would put a rope carabiner attached to the treble hook over the line and it would follow the line down with a few upward pulls it would “gaff “ the fish and we would pull it up sometimes around 30 feet works very well just a simple add on makes all the difference I guess any type of gated rind would work . I hope that helps a little bit to explain. It works well . Stay safe brother
