- A great day of fishing takes a turn for the worse when an unsuspecting visitor shows up! Who was in the wrong here? How would you have handled this situation?
Fun Family Oriented Fishing!
VitaminDee is a Pensacola, Florida native who has fishing deep in his roots!
Growing up fishing inshore, offshore in the Gulf of Mexico, creeks, bayous, lakes and more. He targets a large variety of species including Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder Sheepshead, King & Spanish Mackerel, Cobia, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Amberjack, Jack Crevalle, Red Snapper, Trigger Fish, Gag Grouper, Scampi Grouper, Snowy Grouper, Bonito and more!
Traveling south to catch species like snook, tarpon, mutton snapper, yellow tail snapper, barracuda and more!
On this channel you will notice that we like to switch things up and do a little bass fishing also! Catching lots of pan fish like blue gill, stump knocker -war mouth, long eared sun fish and more! Not to forget about those tasty crappie!

There is one thing about you that I hope others see. You’re always willing to help no matter what it is !! Just shows how Awesome you are Brother !! Keep doing you !!! 🧨🧨🧨
Thank you! I’m just doing what I feel everyone else should do as well! More fish get landed when we all work together.
came here to say the same thing! great Karma!
That was Fun to watch! I Love the camaraderie on the Pier! That’s what makes it So Fun. Everyone cheering you on. I’ve learned so much from the People you fish with….. and Your one of Those!
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it!
love the comradery, looked like fun. everyone appreciates your help
❤ Thanks for adding the text to the video. It makes better fishermen out of us! ❤
You’re welcome! I’ll try to do more of that!
"DEE" YOU ARE THE BEST... IF EVERYONE WAS AS FREINDLY AND KIND AS YOU, THIS WOULD BE A MUCH BETTER WORLD TO LIVE IN! CONGRATS , FOR THE TRUE MAN YOU ARE.
Thanks a lot! Just doing my part! Haha
You are super nice to help people and they do the same. That’s the way to do it. I enjoyed watching. First time I’ve seen you.
Thank you! Glad to have you here! Enjoy!
Love the content as always. Sure am missing CMR!
We fish fresh water lakes from shore and idiots in boats have literally seen us catch fish and decided to anchor right off the shoreline where we are standing. (Completely blocking us on purpose.) I carry a hollow tube with a thin vial of skunk spray in it which casts just like a lure but spreads a very very very strong nasty odor right to the idiots. The smell hovers for days. ⚠️🤬
Hahaha
Just awesome content. Great catches and really like how everyone helps each other on the pier. The boater was wrong. I hope he learned something from it. Tight Lines
Awesome video , subbing . Love how everyone accommodates the man with the tight line ! Wish the whole world worked that way ! Us fishermen AND ladies s, got to stick together ! 8 )
Thanks!
I love you giving good advice to people on the pier. Good video.
I appreciate that!
Boat got off light. Old school Gulf Shores pier, they’d have been casting at him.
Yep!
Slingin 8s 😂
Fart around with a boat close to shore guys fishing on the Fraser River expect a barrage of 3 to 6 oz sinkers
That’s a fact. Used to keep a couple quarter pounders for just such an occasion. 🤣
Banged 6 oz off the side of a boat that came up and anchored in my lines off the back of the boat fishing for Cobia. It didn’t take but a couple times chipping the gel coat and he left.
Another great video, thanks brother
Glad you enjoyed it
Two Kings! Good day!!!
Nice action! Must be nice having a clear rail. We use 2 rod trolley rigs to kingfish at the pier here in Jacksonville so everyone really has to work together to keep their gear clear when somebody is coming through with a fish. Boats coming too close are the bane of pier kingfishermen everywhere.
I guess it is pretty nice! We get bothered that people leave rods unattended at the rails and we have to step over them. Haha
I have had that shore fishing. Guys trolling right in front of me . I’m like, really, you have a boat. You can go anywhere, but you have to go right out within my casting distance!
Exactly!
Brother you put that Daiwa Saltist MQ to work! I've never heard a reel scream like that! Great job.
Hahaha. The reel screaming definitely get me going! Just wait until you see next weeks video! Haha
Awesome content Dee. The dude on the boat would have been bombed with sinkers.
I enjoy your video very much
Thanks a lot! Glad you enjoyed it!
Heck yeah. Kings coming through…nice. Great video. 👍🏻🤙🏻
I need to check if there are regs for distance from the pier. I fish the one at Ft. DeSoto & every charter capt. within 10 miles comes there to get bait. They pull right up under the pier to cast net their free bait. I wonder if this is considered angler harassment? Cool video, by the way.
Fl regulations states 300ft, Just went through this with a complete dumba** at Cedar Key. Boater managed to pick up 4 peoples lines. Hope all that braid destroyed some seals.
@@kennethm3071 thanks
Not everyone can afford boats. Boaters you got the whole dang ocean, be respectfull so all can enjoy
Awesome video!
Thanks!
Thank you it brought back time when I was a in
Folkestone, Kent. England.😊
Awesome.
Some of these boaters have no conscious or respect for pier fisherman. I was at Ft Pickens pier yesterday and a boaters came and start fishing right right next to the old pier about 50-75 feet from the pier. Pier fisherman were furious and yelling insults at him, but about 5-10 minutes later FWC patrol pulled up and did some checked on the boat and chase him away
Yeah! You have to remain 100-200yards from that structure as well!
You're doing the good Samaritan thing there's nothing like working together B I also enjoy watching you help out or giving good advice Peace
Thank you! Glad you’re enjoying the content!
your a hell of a sport men. Mr Dell to bad their not more people like you.
Thanks!
I’m just gonna call you vitamin king
Awesome video 😊
Thank you!
Been watching all your videos awesome stuff man. My wife and I just got a place in Pensacola, I can't wait to get down there in couple weeks and get my kayak out on the water chasin reds and mackerels and snappers and trout and sheep's. Well yeah pretty much anything that swims.
That’s awesome man! Be safe out there! Take your time and tight lines!
I love watching your pier fishing videos, because that is how I like to do most of fishing. I do have a question, I have been thinking about buying a pier cart and cooler ,do you have any recommendation on the size.
I found a used one on marketplace. They show up on there often for 150-200. Mine is the larger size but truthfully it's not that much bigger than the smaller ones. I would not recommend a steel cart. They corrode very quick and they are heavy to get in and out of the truck.
I would definitely recommend a larger cart. You’ll need the room for a cooler, plenty rod holders, and space for a your tackle bag. Just my opinion. I would recommend a pretty good cooler as well. Ice melts fast in a cooler sitting in the sun the entire time. Both can be found on Facebook marketplace but they sell fast!
Old stomping grounds. I am a Rebel ! Class of 78, Escambia High. LOL
I always enjoy the videos. I will enjoy that hat drop when it happens also!!!!
""Pier Fishing - moments it's on fire and moments when it's dead."" Pretty sure that's every type of fishing bro.
That's awesome brother I enjoy, one day I will go to pensacola for fishing, I went to Sarasota last year, I will plan to go there, love too
We in North Carolina call them grass shade we catch them on gold hooks very great bait for deep sea fishing I love my Penn reels ugly stick
Always show respect to others linesmen!
Agreed!
How creative headline I’ve heard that headline a ! hundred times. When this happened!😂😂😂😂😂🤣
Seems to work! Haha
I love the way kings make them reels scream
Das wahr ein toller Beitrag von dir. Ab heute bin ich dein Abonnenten. Toll alles erklärt und sher informativ den Video.
Awesome pier video, most toon rentals will not let you go beyond the pass
New sub here. great informative video brah.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
nice fish!! Great tips as well. A+ content!
Thanks for watching
I enjoyed this one
Fishing at OC inlet jetties in the "80's" for tuog and chopper blues who were running butter fish onto the beach trying to escape the blues! All of a sudden all the jettie fisherman stop fishing and pick up their surf rods but took everything off their lines except for a single 5 oz spider and started casting out onto the surf! Then I noticed a boat had pulled up in the inlet! Those fishermen lost their minds! They pelted that boat one actually broke the boat's wind shield with a spider that went through it! They finally moved off! With weights that heavy someone could've been killed in the boat! Those jettie fishermen didn't play in Maryland! CMTFU
I saw similar actions taken against surfers getting too close to the pier in Jacksonville Florida. I actually thought on more than one occasion that I was going to witness a homicide. In one instance an officer with the Florida Marine Patrol or their equivalent to game wardens in other states walked up and down the beach patiently for about 3hrs to take an offending surfer into custody to the cheers of the pier fisherman .
When fishing off the wall of a Dam Site or a Fishing Pier, everyone has to work together..... yielding to the person w/ a Fish On
is paramount to successful fishing & getting along. I've not done the pier fishing but under the Dam for strippers I have & when
a boater tried to come up under where you're fishing, you keep casting across. With a 4 oz lead & your hooks it makes a loud
sound when striking the boat; the people on the boat make loud sounds when they get struck but it's them coming in under a
lot of people fishing off the wall of the Dam. Just like pier fishing there's a lot of unsaid rules to the process that everyone
has to follow or it starts to suck very fast. Ohh, the rod I used then was an Amazon 13ft rod.... a beast but it wouldn't be
too practical off this pier or maybe. Amazon Rods are the name of the manufacturer, nothing to do w/ the company that
we buy crap from for mail order delivery. Very cool fishing. Thanks
Until I reach the point where I lose my memory to age or disease, I will never forget the first time I set foot on the Ocean City fishing pier Topsail Iland North Carolina. Up until that event my family on both sides fished in fresh water, ponds, lakes and rivers. When my parents and I first went down to Topsail we actually fished on the Sound Side with cane poles and corks in the usual freshwater country fashion and caught lots of fish. However, when I stepped out onto the pier at maybe age 7 the sight of the ocean and the pier activity all the rods and reels the salt air breeze, the waves everything all overloaded my senses and began a love affair that lasts till today at 66 years of age and plans for my final requests are to have my ashes spread on the island sound and ocean.
Amazing! Thanks for sharing!
It’s funny how it started out as “its bigger than that other guys”
Haha
26:35 that happens at our piers a lot down here in south texas, i figure they are new to fishing on a boat and dont know where to go look.
Watched a boat go infront of okaloosa pier trolling really close. A guy threw at their lines and managed to hook one of them. The dude on the pier obviously lost the tug-a-war contest. But the captain drove close the the beach, and one of the the guys jumped off and ran on the pier with the dudes lure. He came out to the end and started asking whose lure it was. He never found out who’s it was. It was so freaking funny.
Was he ready to fight or something? Hahahaha
Had to giggle when you made comments about bombing weights at the boats because that's exactly what we used to do..and I've also witnessed D.E.P give tickets to boaters, being a boat owner myself I never would do that shit, never had to the ocean has plenty of other spots better to fish...I just never understood why you'd do it in the first place I'd think you bought the boat to avoid the crowds and the pier...but we always kept 3 or 4 ounce weights handy for that reason...😊
You had to be a true pier fisherman to understand. Haha
Mackeral gr8 eating 😋😋😋
Right!
Man I need to do some fishing this weekend!
She's slick as glass out there beatiful morning heard different stories bout how they taste ? I know the Spanish R good but lot smaller heard that the kings R just fun fight an they use em for chum idk never caught one
A lot of people aren’t big fans of king mackerels because the meat is not white and flaky. But its still good.
Have you ever tried fixing the King by cutting them into steaks an BBQ them on a grill or just broiled. It does not take much BBQ . They are great fixed that way. They are so good like that. It will make a puppy pull a freight train. LOL . Good luck .
I’ve never tried it, but I heard its a great way to do them! I may have to try it some time…
There are lots of people fishing on the bridge, if you arrive late you definitely won't get a spot man. Good fishing vidio
Definitely!
That Asian dude was funny as hell. 😂😂😂
Charlie is a funny funny man! Haha
Florida: Boaters must stay 300' from a fishing pier.(100 yards, 1 football field)
To throw a projectile at a person on a vessel is a FELONY (Aggravated Assault / Aggravated Battery)
Not that I’m condoning it, but people rob banks all the time…Do you think they know that’s also a felony before carrying out the act?
@@VitaminDeeTV As they cart them off to jail they will reply to that, ignorance of the law is no excuse.
Good video dee
Thanks Bro!
where have you been hiding ? miss you.
I’ve been fishing! Haha
dam surprised that king fought that hard for being hooked in the eye like that
Fight for your life or give up because your eye is hurt? Hahaha
What set up are you using Daiwa Saltist?
Good Video as ALWAYS!
Tight Lines!
Daiwa Saltist 5000 with a 8ft Star rod and 25lb braid.
🔥🔥🔥
This is str8 bad boating . Respect your on shore fishing men and women ..I had a 27ft pro cuddy and if I seen the onshore fishermen I lefted ..it's just respect ..I have a boat they don't so let them get what they can ..we have the entire ocean they don't 😢❤❤
Agreed!
I may be behind but i thought Vitamin Dee had a boat. What happened to the boat vids?
The boat is under construction.
I had this happen to me. I was trespassed off the pier because they a hole in the boat has all the rights. he can literally cut you off in the middel of a fight and it's your problem.
Crazy how that works isn’t it? It’s like we get zero rights to fish or keep ppl out of our way. Check out todays video. These guys got a little bit of karma. Hahaha
good stuff bro what lb wire were you using and were you using a swivel?
25lb power pro. 40lb steel leader. 40lb barrel swivel.
Y'all king fish different than they do in the Carolinas hell they wouldn't let you out on the end of the pier, have to anchor with one rod and bait on the other
What rod you rockin with for the xrap?
I use a 9ft Ninja Dagger rod for my bigger XRAP, and a 8ft Shimano Teramar for my smaller XRAPs
@@VitaminDeeTV good looks Dee 🫡
Florida state law says any water vessel is required to maintain at least 300 Feet distance from any pier designated for fishing.
👍
That the daiwa satist mq? How are you liking it? Watching on phone, have to SQUINT
Daiwa Saltist MQ 5000. Love it. Does what I need it to do. Thinking about getting a Certate.
When was this the last couple weeks it’s been rough seas
About 2 weeks ago. We’ve had a few storms mess up the water so not many fish have been caught. It’s starting to clear up and they’re catching them again, finally.
Keep it classy Escambia...
Right! Hahaha
Yo Dee, can you tell me what line do you use on your rods?
All of my rods are set up differently for different purposes. My king rod is rigged with 25lb power pro.
@@VitaminDeeTV thanks alot
Pops.
Yo bro what rod were u using?
8ft Star Rod.
I dont know how far this dude is by film
Looks like he is at a respectable distance. If he were in closer I would understand complaining but he gave them space.
0:30 0:38 what's that black thing in the water on the right?
Dolphin
Play nice boys do you know Florida is a stand your own ground state
What that guy gona do with those hardtails
They're really good eating
Most are commercial guys
Florida Statue 0:04 327.46, "Boating Restricted Areas" says 300'. That's a football field. Can't tell for sure from video but he doesn't look right up on it. I'm on the boater's side. Not to mention the dude on the pier attempting to make fun of the guy for fishing in a pontoon boat while he, himself, is on the pier fishing is rich.
300 feet is a football field. 100’ is 1/3 of a football field.
True. My bad.
@@jasonradcliff2035it's a 100 yards for a football field that = 300ft
Nevermind I read your response wrong lol
There is no reason for the slander of the person using a pontoon. I have an 18ft bow rider n I'm very new to fishing, but in my channel that is what I use to fish off. I prefer it over fishing off a pier. Like this 17 year old young man said, you can make any boat a fishing boat.
I fosh from the bank in lake Tyler Texas and the people who have boats run over my lines and basically make it to where i must fish no more than 50 feet from bank. The area i fish at is a swimming area and boats fly through at full speed less than 100' or even less than 50' from shore. Not caring about people who are swimming and or fishing at the area.
What is wrong with people these days?!?
@@VitaminDeeTV it's the coddling that everyone gets makes them think that everyone else doesn't matter. They think that hey we have a boat and you don't so we go anywhere we want. And if your on the bank or swimming it's to bad so sad it's my lake
Look like he was within the law it’s 100 to 150 feet
I believe our pier states that you have to 300ft or more. I’m not 100% sure.
Damn son....I want you on my boat team !
Hahaha 💪
It was probably a rental. The people that rent those things don't know shit.
I didn’t think about that! You could be right!!!
A 10lb fish can fight like that??
That’s why they call them smokers! Haha 🤣
do u eat fish?
I do on occasion.
In palm beach county there are distance rules to be from the pier
@@garyclements9347 I think pier has a rule! I’ve fished that palm beach pier before. 👍
Better class of people on that pier compared to PCB. I used to go a couple times a month even though it was a 30 mile drive through city streets. Haven't been since June of '19.
Pier rats, those running to be the first to cast at kings, pompano, cobia. Jumping over beach carts breaking rods, dumping live bait buckets, slamming into you as a stop so they can cast before the one right behind them. Last day I helped 1 up off the deck then put him right back on it for breaking a 3 generation rod..
Pier rats.
Wow! I didn’t know Panama City’s pier was like that! I thought about going there at some point this year!
@@VitaminDeeTV Pretty crappy unless it's a couple of mid week days when nothing is running. When the cobia, jacks, kings, pompano, even the macs they're trying to out do each other on tackle and getting the first cast out on a seen fish.
Dude tried to jump over my cart, broke the rod, I'd had enough by the time he got off his face.
There's 2 identical piers, city and county, about 1 1/2-2 miles apart. I only walked the city pier once, always used the county. Used to be able to cast net atleast throughout the week on both, take up 1/3rd or more of the rails for pilch and cigar minnows. Stopped it but I've heard the county has it again 1-2 days a week.
Won't have any vessels getting close like your 1 vid there, they're harsh about that.
Come check it out, may of changed since I've been there. Plenty of other places to fish too, state park has a shorter pier. City marina is fixed now, fish off it, 12-15 fathoms, grouper show up.
I'm on a fishing app, sent a couple towards your channel when they couldn't understand the use of grappling hooks they seen on a couple of posts.
Start chucking large weights at the boat
Hahaha back in the day they would!
I have fished and owned boats most of my life , I am a born Florida , I always gave folks on piers , kayaks and other boaters (fishermen ) plenty of space out of respect , but that doesn’t mean it was always returned especially fnnn jet skiers .😀
Good fishing!!! I have a small Tracker I use for fishing but I don't take it into the Ocean. Same rule of ethics apply though, You have some real stupid Ignorant boaters Fresh and Salt waters!!! Stay away fro pier and shore fishing people!!!! They have all that room and they see some action and right away they have to approach!! Crazy!!! No respect from those boaters!! Fish on Buddy!! Bless!
That’s right! Thanks
