You are so loving and caring towards your piggies, they are so lucky to be living with you.. You make me want to have pigs again but I'm just not financially able to at the moment... I can wait.. Mine love being held. Don't like being picked up though. I've found a piece of PVC pipe about 12" long. When it's couch time, aka ' lap time' after dinner and TV time I I just attempt to pick em up they'll run to the pipe. Just put a hand over each end and move the pipe. This also gives em a place to hide if they want. We all watch TV. Whichever one I put in my lay will almost immediately climb up to my shoulder and settle in. Sometimes almost an hour? Then it's Pee time, ya know about that, huh? Easiest way to move em.
I used to have guinea pigs when I was a little girl, but I'm 41, therefore, back then, we only learned of using woodchips on the bottom of cages, which wasn't great, as I would have to dump all the bedding out when cleaning their cage. Had I have known that they could be on blankets, I would have definitely done that. It's so much cleaner! Unfortunately, I became allergic to my pigs and had to give them away, but stupid me, I gave them to my best friend, therefore, every time I went to her house, my eyes would turned red and itch, get hives, and my nose would run. I love guinea pigs so much, especially the whistling sounds they make. My pigs loved bacon, and everytime my mom would cook it, they would smell it and start whistling their faces off 😆. Back then, I never knew about the hairless variety, as they may not have been created yet, but J often wonder if I would be allergic to them. Perhaps I'm nolonger allergic to guinea pigs at all, which would be awesome, as they're my favourite rodent. I love their friendly dispositions.
A lot of times, it’s the hay that people are allergic to, and not necessarily the Animal itself. I use orchard hay and wear a mask when cleaning cage and I’m good!
Hoe beautiful is their cage! In your new home you remodeld the cage. Where can I buy the different components? I do want to make such a beautiful cage❤
Hi! You can get the grids and coroplast from on Amazon :) If you want a pre-made cage you can get them from the guinea pig cage store or Kavee! They're both great places to buy cages from but can be a bit pricey!
hi! grids and coroplast separate can be found on amazon and a few others, if u want a C&C pre-made u can find it on kavee , geniua store and a few others i think. i do feel that it can be a little pricey for what it is. personally i recommend costom building a wooden cage.
That tall one is too small. Only mice or rats should live in caves like that. They need more flat room to run. Worst cage ever. Piggies spines are not built to climb. A small ramp is ok but this is just crazy & they are stressed. They will fight more due to stress.

I will never get a guinea pig but i love to watch videos about them, especially when theyre so happy and well treated

Amazon . Look up C&C grids. But be mindful of sizes. Some piggies can get their heads stuck.

Its bigger than the other cages, they have more room than the rest, but I do agree that ramp is steep
