- The seventh episode of Weird Car History.
The Mark LT was Lincoln’s second failed attempt at a pickup truck. A slightly more upscale Ford F-150, most truck owners scoffed at the idea of owning a luxury truck, and instead opted for the higher trim F-150s. Despite outdoing the Blackwood, Lincoln’s original pickup, the Mark LT was met with weak demand and only lasted model production years.

I own a 2007 and I love it.
My dad had one of these, and owned it for maybe 7 years or so. He passed away a year ago though, and we sold it not too long ago. Honestly it was a decent truck.
Fun fact sales in Mexico were superb so Lincoln continued to sell the Mark LT for further years in Mexico and Canada, even came out with a Mark LT second generation in Mexico 2010- 2014. My dad currently has a 2013 and it is absolutely beautiful.
Second generation included the famous 5.0 coyote (mustang) engine

I like this truck in Clint Eastwood's movie "The Mule".
I have an 06 and really enjoy it. The ride was one of the deciding factors. It has been costly on repairs though, including a new engine. I hope to hang on to it for a long time.
They're collectors items now. I hear that they ride very smooth. Cheers
I own the 2006 Lincoln Mark LT. It rides better than my 2001 Ford Expedition.
Is it pretty much an 06 F-150?

People didn't realize it is a Ford Truck, so not too many were sold. As a result, they discontinued its production except for in Mexico.
Ford didn't stop selling the mark Lt in 08 they just stopped selling them in the us..mexico has a 3rd generation
I know the word "rebadged" gets thrown around alot, but these trucks were literally just F-150 with a different grill and wheels that Ford charged a premium for
I have an 06 Mark Lt. Has 315k miles on it and it’s been a fantastic truck. I had an 08 F150 Lariat and it’s pretty much the exact same truck. Just nicer paint tbh.
They need to bring back the Mark LT
I'm lucky to own a Blackwood 02 with 103,000 miles and a 07 Mark Lt with 45,000 miles.
I have a 2007 with 60k and yes it does does drive smooth
These sold in Mexico while they were discontinued in USA until 2014

Just saw one of these today. Yeah definitely the weirdest truck ever. Let's pay $10,000 more for fake Chrome, fake rear tail lights, tons of electronics that are going to go bad guaranteed cuz it's a Ford and we're going to call it Mark.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Definitely get one of these if you love electrical issues. It'll keep your skills up to par was BMW, Audi in Volkswagen mechanics.
