Yeah either his converter Has A stupidly high stall speed Or is transmission and or clutch packs Are fried why would he not know this and make this video I notice he couldn’t even back out of his driveway
I buy most of my stuff too, dont have time to build it. But Im smart enough to know when a clutch is slipping or a tranny. Why does it all of a sudden make you less of a car guy if you buy stuff built? I guarantee I will spend less buying a fully restored car over you doing all the work yourself.
Why yall hating on this man's ride? It's nice to see someone set up a 3rd gen correctly. Also transmissions are a dime a dozen for those cars and you can get a built one for cheap
Bad tranny and stall converters aren't designed to actually have stall in reverse the fact that the transmission works better after a while shows it's taking a while to build pressure
this man is proud of what he has and all in all its a beautiful car ..............thanks man for the video do an update would love to see her again dont worrie about all these haters
@thatboyon6s No prob but if you dont mind. what size tires and wheel do you have on the back and what type of suspension setup do you have? A guy next door is building a car like yours with a 383 and he is going to need more tire than what he has now! Thanks for the info!
+Smitty B/ omg I thought the same thing. 383 strokers are badass. I rebuilding a 350 right now and I would be really bad at anyone who said it was crap.
Nice car I just have to wonder what converter you are running? It sounds VERY loose. I had ATI build me a 8" 4800 stall treemaster for my combo and it is as tight as a stock converter on the street but hits like a ton of bricks when you jump on it. They wanted to build me a 5800 stall converter but told me it would probably be to big for the street so instead they recommended the 4800 as a compromise.
Dude... AWESOME CAR!!! How much did you invested in that proyect? Any advice? (I'm planning to purchase one for street and strip... everyday use) What should i look in a 90's camaro?
you can't be mad at this ride at all. looks good, sounds good, runs good. keep up the good work. one day the kids on youtube will have a car of their own to post, then they will have younger kids giving them shit about it. The world keeps on turning.
Is that an iroc in your garage? I had an 88 in the late 90's 383 stroked and I still regret the day I sold it! Also had a 73 with a 383 but shelled the cam on a pass. Put a 96 Lt4 in after that but never made the power the 383 made :( Nice ride though!
thats a good attitude man, I wish i could be more like that. I love this car though I think it IS all that. All i ask is that you enjoy it. wht kinda trans are you running?
Sweet car! Makes me miss my 89. Good job on the build, I bet your neighbors HATE you. That looks like a nice quiet neighborhood, then..."oh hell! he's pulling out the camaro again!" :P
MAN!! What a beautiful car! I got an 87 Camaro, and it doesn't even look 1/4th half as good as yours lol. Nice Camaro that was parked next to it in the garage also. Parts car?
Upper rpm it’s backfiring . Not right. And yes that’s trans issues not the converter. Even after 3k rpm it still ain’t goin anywhere and the first time he floors it you can see the trans smokin.. I’m not sure... there’s other issues goin on.... it does sound good tho
Hard to tell how it runs sounds like it runs low 12s, judging by how it sounded like you put your foot in it all the way, yet it didn't spin the tires (barely). But it looks like you made it straight up pro street, but the engine is stock? Am I wrong? and you just put a mild cam in it and took the exhaust off...
For all of the people that are assuming this man bought it, then why is there a completely different car he is now building in the garage now (another 3rd gen)
yes they do make aftermarket adjustable vacuum modulators but they do not have adjustable ones installed from the factory for the th350 the modulator only controls the shift points via engine vacuum it does not control weather it has reverse or not the STALL converter in is what is making the reverse weak it has nothing to do with the reverse and by the way he was having to shift manually so that is showing me that he has a manual valve body and in that case the modulator is doing nothing :)
You need to erase this video rebuild your transmission And then upload a new video.
😭😭😂😂😂💀💀💀💀
Hey knock out ! no ANYTHING about cars ? try thinking about MAYBE the stall converter DA !
Stall Converter
The stall is like 3000 my stall is the exact same way in reverse
Yeah either his converter Has A stupidly high stall speed Or is transmission and or clutch packs Are fried why would he not know this and make this video I notice he couldn’t even back out of his driveway
Bought not built. That's why he doesn't realize the transmission is slipping.
wtf are u talkin bout. he just got a big ass stall.
Sure does. Yupp
I buy most of my stuff too, dont have time to build it. But Im smart enough to know when a clutch is slipping or a tranny. Why does it all of a sudden make you less of a car guy if you buy stuff built? I guarantee I will spend less buying a fully restored car over you doing all the work yourself.
I think it has more to do with him having a high stall/torque converter.?
My point exactly. *****
made alot of noise but didn't go anywhere lol
were you watching at 3:51 ? from a roll it hits 60 like nothing flat then watch 5:50
It was slow I’ll admit
😂😂😂
Too much stall in the converter
It spun the tires the whole way
Why yall hating on this man's ride? It's nice to see someone set up a 3rd gen correctly. Also transmissions are a dime a dozen for those cars and you can get a built one for cheap
sounds like trans is slipping, it didn't even want to back out driveway
That's a bad stall rpm for that setup
@@jerryespinoza2113 exactly
this car needs a driver mod
check that torque converter
more noise then speed.....
yep!
Bad tranny and stall converters aren't designed to actually have stall in reverse the fact that the transmission works better after a while shows it's taking a while to build pressure
Way too much stall, most 383's clear their throats at 2500.
that tans mission wasnt right, it was slipping, had nothing to do with the stall converter
Video's like this never truly do the cars Justice. Sweet ride. Love that late 80s early 90s Camaro.
Actually probably just to much stall
Way too much that little engine
Needs about a 3500 in it
I have a mini cooper if he's up for a race
I love the sound of the 383. Especially one that's Built to the 9s. Nice car man, and great job.
Sounds good but slow.
where did you get that hood? deciding weather to get a hood like that or just a cowl hood for my camaro. it has a 389 stroker.
this man is proud of what he has and all in all its a beautiful car ..............thanks man for the video do an update would love to see her again dont worrie about all these haters
Love your car, thanks for sharing!
Is the convertor stall too high?
great car but, looks like we all agree, stall.
it reminds me of dom's charger in the first fast and furious with the stall just like my 1981 camaro its so fun hearing it sing. stall is perfect.
Hey, I see you have another 3rd gen project tucked in the garage !! Sweet vid!
My favorite part when he roasted the tires 😂
that trans was slippin, but that shit dont matter. That is the nicest camaro i have seen in a long time. man, keep it goin. She tight man
Love the car man!! my dream project is to have a 383 3rd gen. Love your camaro
What type of heads are you running with that motor?
Wicked sounding 383 brother 🎧
How about switching the 5500 stall for a 3000? All show & no go! It's running lean too, need to jet it higher especially with open headers.
@thatboyon6s No prob but if you dont mind. what size tires and wheel do you have on the back and what type of suspension setup do you have? A guy next door is building a car like yours with a 383 and he is going to need more tire than what he has now! Thanks for the info!
Bet the neighbors hate that late shifting
Looks great and sounds even better...Great job
steve justice I SALUTE YOU DUDE...you are one of the few that didn't bring up his race and 4 that I salute you my friend !!!!!
+Smitty B/ omg I thought the same thing. 383 strokers are badass. I rebuilding a 350 right now and I would be really bad at anyone who said it was crap.
That things sounds AWESOME!
It sounds so good ✊🏿
Nice car I just have to wonder what converter you are running? It sounds VERY loose. Caption doesn't do justice and especially the fact u have two beast jus dwelling, hats off bruh from a fellow iroc junkie
What pistons you running?
Not sure what kind of rear end he is running, but he got a 98% full slip transmission.
Dude... AWESOME CAR!!! How much did you invested in that proyect?
Any advice? (I'm planning to purchase one for street and strip... everyday use)
What should i look in a 90's camaro?
That's what we call a "Pig in a blanket".
Motor sounds good bro, what heads u running? cam size?
y406 with a 28 to 32 style in it work perfect
Man something is really wrong sounds good but ain't moven for shit
FatGuyTV sounds like his gears too big or the trans goin
Sweeeeet you got nice taste in cars. Sounds like most of these internet mechanics own dodge minivans, keep up the good work.
Damn dawg i didnt expect you to pull that beast out. Lol. Nice vid;) What type of exaust setup u running? I like the tone of it. Thanks.
These Beast Really Rockz!!!
Nice to see a 3rd gen guy doing it right. You gotta head start on me but I'm working on getting my '86 to that level.
Why did you have to floor it to back up!?
My Neighbors would love me if I fired that thing up. Just one of a few reasons I've always had full exhaust systems.
Nice, what does it run in the 1/4 mile?
Sweet!!!
I like the way that car runs
Is the trac control on? or is something wrong with that car?
also what rims and rubber do you have on the the back of this rig?
Finally someone without those retarded rims and who didn't cut up the car for stupid speakers and garbage. Very nice car, keep up the good work :D
There was definitely cutting involved for the rear tires, door panels, and maybe more. Youre goofy as hell 😂
you can't be mad at this ride at all. looks good, sounds good, runs good. keep up the good work. one day the kids on youtube will have a car of their own to post, then they will have younger kids giving them shit about it.
The world keeps on turning.
Thats sick man. I'm thinking about putting a 383 in my caprice wagon.
Is that an iroc in your garage? I had an 88 in the late 90's 383 stroked and I still regret the day I sold it! Also had a 73 with a 383 but shelled the cam on a pass. Put a 96 Lt4 in after that but never made the power the 383 made :(
Nice ride though!
Nice car! Sounds mean!! I have an 86 Iroc Z, only a 305 in her though...this makes me wanna get a 383!
I am loving it.

sick car man. Paint is off the chain
MAN!! What a beautiful car! I got an 87 Camaro, and it doesn't even look 1/4th half as good as yours lol.
Nice Camaro that was parked next to it in the garage also. Parts car?

ive seen low power cars with to tall a converter did the same as his but maybe it does need a rebuild if i drove it i could tell you
Badass car man, looks and sounds great.
That motor is healthy.
I like the paint colour? Is it a candy cherry?
much respect man
For all of the people that are assuming this man bought it, then why is there a completely different car he is now building in the garage now (another 3rd gen)
another 3rd? first one was 2nd. I don't care if he built it himself or not. people can say whatever they want on the internet and be full of shit.
+Joe Pansacula no those are both third gens
yes they do make aftermarket adjustable vacuum modulators but they do not have adjustable ones installed from the factory for the th350 the modulator only controls the shift points via engine vacuum it does not control weather it has reverse or not the STALL converter in is what is making the reverse weak it has nothing to do with the reverse and by the way he was having to shift manually so that is showing me that he has a manual valve body and in that case the modulator is doing nothing :)
