The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at is the Westgate. The valet took 40 minutes to bring our car. After waiting over a half hour for the bellhop, we decided to take our bags ourself, which is hard as we are both handicapped. When we entered the hotel, we were accosted by music so loud we couldn’t hear each other. When we got to the elevator, it was not in service, so we had to take the elevator on the other end of the hotel and walk for 20 minutes just to get to our room on the other end of the floor. Oh, and we waited 45 minutes just to check in. It was ridiculous. When we finally got to our room, the key card didn’t work, so we had to go back and get one that worked. It only got worse from there, as the room was dirty, with trash on the floor and several lipstick stains on the walls and door. The sheets had stains on them, o we attempted to call down and ask for clean sheets. It took two hours for the sheets to come, and they weren’t much cleaner, although fortunately they were devoid of lipstick stains. We were to damn spent to make the hike back down to get something to eat, so we called room service and got a message that they were busy and to call back. We attempted to call for well over an hour, and when we finally got through, we were told that they were closed. It was about 10 pm. The only good part of the whole fiasco was my sister won three grand, so it did make the stay worthwhile. We decided to forgo the second night and just go home, so we called the bellhop, who still hadn’t shown up after an hour so we just took the bags ourselves. The valet took over a half hour to bring the car, but we were still happy about winning, so we just sat there and waited. On the way down a man was screaming at a desk clerk that he had waited in line almost two hours to check in. She just rolled her eyes at him, so we were treated to his melodic bellowing the entire walk out. We stayed during the week, so I can only imagine how bad it gets on the weekend. Suffice it to say we will never stay there again.
Hot slag girl! That's the hands down worst Vegas experience I've heard of short of being robbed or hospitalized! Wesgate is certainly off my future stay list...
I stayed at the Excalibur a few months ago, and I thought it was nothing more than a medieval-themed Walmart. Unfortunately, I had no say in the choice of hotel for that visit, but whenever I visit Las Vegas again, I will definitely look elsewhere (after saving up plenty of MyVegas points, of course).
I don’t understand why the Rio didn’t make the list ? . I stayed there last summer and it was really dated . The water in the pool was very dirty. The one thing I can’t complain was the price . $180 with tax and resort fees for two nights .

If the riviera didn’t shut down in 2015 then I think it would take the top spot. I can recall stepping in the building it smelled like smoke and urine. even though it had some good shows before its demise, it really can disappoint you if you stayed in it and it was in the south side of the strip. Those pretty neon lights can’t save it for being the worst hotel in my opinion.
Another strong dishonorable mention. Never got to visit the Riviera myself, but I'd never heard anything great about it before it closed. Looking back on some footage I kinda wish i could have visited before it's Demise. But I'm glad I've never stayed there

Here are MY problems with each hotel on the list: Bally’s: Casino is outdated and it’s way more smokey than others Flamingo: Employees are annoying and won’t stop trying to sell me stuff T.I.: I had the worst experience staying there. Room was filthy and couch in my suite was torn. Harrahs: In my opinion could use some renovations to the casino area Tropicana: Way outdated and smokey Casino Royale: Smokey AF and too small, but I had fun there because I won a lot of money! Luxor: Just boring. Other than the Titanic exhibit it was just boring as cool as the pyramid looks Hooters: Same problems everyone else has. Super outdated and dirty Excalibur: Dirty, outdated, and kinda boring but still had more fun than at Luxor Strat: Shady area, too far north Circus Circus: Disgusting, shady AF (people have been murdered there), too far north
Ace Of Vegas T.I. gets a lot of good reviews but it was my experience that was just horrible. Another thing that happened was the battery on the lock to our room died and when my girlfriend called the front desk they hung up on her. She had to call them again to get them to come fix it so we could get in. No refund, voucher for free nights. Nothing was offered to make it better because we didn’t complain immediately after getting to the room
If you gamble about two thousand dollars slot in once a year at Vegas you should be getting 4 night suite offers with 100 free play and 100 resort credit at pretty much any hotel and you dont have to worry about quality at that point. Resort fees are almost always waived.
Umm the QUAD aka Imperial Palace is/was a dump! The carpet is sticky, the rooms are small with brick walls! I came home physically sick from staying there. It's TOP 5 worst all day even with he rebrand!
Staying at the Flamingo this summer for my birthday. I’m actually staying there because of the old school vibe and the pool. Hopefully our experience is decent.
I had a buddy stay there last year with his lady. They had a good time. See if you can step it up from the basic room. Otherwise I'm sure you'll do great. Happy birthday btws!
Joey Bravado I hate to burst your hopes but our room was just disgusting. Apparently some of the rooms are updated and some not. Ours was like a crackhouse room. I wanted to move but we were stuck.
I can see some complaints, I can, but I had fun casino is cheap you can play all night. Waitresses were attentive, kept my drinks full, I am a smoker so smoke doesn't bother me, and the dining options were fine. Room was dated but clean....bed left a little to be desired....but.....overall not bad
About 4 years ago stayed with my cousin on a freebie...2 nights.maybe we got lucky but it wasnt bad mid week.I mean,its very basic but was quiet in room.

I've been planning my very first trip to Vegas. I can't understand Circus Circus. It must be worth a billion dollars, but it seems like they're deliberately running the place down. I had considered the Excalibur because the rates are so cheap, then I learned about resort fees and noticed that the resort fees at the Excalibur were higher than the room rates. Actually, resort fees are making me think I should stay at the Four Queens.

You know I had a fair amount of people defending Excalibur so it may not be horrible. I might step up from the basic rooms if it's available. I'm pretty sure all the MGM hotels just use the TITO system now, so they just take paper and just spit out more paper. I recall circus circus still had a few quarter machines but that's about it. I'll ask around though just for you fam

I know it’s a bit late so I’m sure you’ve already experienced Excalibur but I hope your stay went better than you thought. It was the first hotel I stayed at in Vegas and I thought it was just fine. Obviously you get what you pay for so we didn’t have high expectations but it definitely turned out well. The staff was quite nice and helpful too!
Actually I have met a few people that like it there. It's certainly not the worst hotel on the list though. Frankly I think a nice refresh of the property would do it a lot of good.
I like Bally's, too. It was not as smoky as described, and I like having a keno ticket while playing slots. Other restaurants are nearby. We did not have ghost problems even though on a haunted floor.
If you’re a CET rewards member, you really can’t beat Bally’s for the price. It’s location is perfect with both towers having been refreshed/remodeled within the last six years. Views of the Bellagio Fountains and Eiffel Towel increase its value (to me!). Get the Total Rewards VISA and you’ll stay at the Platinum tier if you use it every now and then. That gives you free valet parking and a special check in line to bypass the crowds (also at Starbucks and other other restaurants/buffets at CET properties). I don’t know what to say other than the casino isn’t the most luxurious... but who cares? You have the Cosmopolitan, Caesars, and Bellagio right out the front doors. I’m fine keeping it to myself if others don’t want to stay there ! 😃
I recently stayed at The Luxor for the first time and I really enjoyed my stay there! I had a king pyramid room and it was clean, a big comfy bed, a pretty mosaic wallpaper, sparkling bathroom and overall updated decor. It was quiet and the room itself didn't feel small despite the window being at an angle. My friend stayed in a king tower room and it was even nicer than mine! Overall we were both very happy and I would definitely stay there again.
Circus Circus is also the worst on the reno main drag for 30 years.Rumors were that their steakhouse was also great but i never ventured more then a walk thru.lol.scary,dark,smoky yuck.

I don’t even head to Circus Circus anymore for the theme park! I hate parking in their crumbling garage, using their dangerous broken ass elevators and walking through their dingy lobby THAT MUCH! And I LOVED Adventuredome!
On my last trip to Las Vegas I visited Circus Circu, because I wanted to see the indoor amusement park that I had heard so much about. I was not impressed at all the amusement park was overpriced and none of the kids that were there where wearing masks and it is extremely crowded. the casino was also extremely crowded and it was not very clean. I was very disappointed
Casino Royale isn't luxury but it is cheap and centrally located. The rooms are pretty basic but they are clean. I like that it has no resort fee. That's a rare thing on the Strip.
I stayed at Bally’s over 100 times over the years and always loved it. The staff is great, BLT is Steakhouse No 2 on the strip (well , it’s temporarily closed at the moment) Steakhouse No 1 is Circus Circus, no doubt about that. Ballys got the biggest rooms on the strip and due to adjoining Paris, multiple dining options. I agree on everything else you said but keep Ballys off the list. It’s a great place to stay and play on the LV strip
You know Joshua, funny thing is that TI wasn't even originally on my list. Fans actually wrote it in themselves and voted for it. So I didn't get much of a choice there. It ranks pretty low so I wouldn't let it put you off of staying there
Dude, continue to love Harrah's. This is just the opinion of a few folks based on their experience. There's really no such thing as an "absolute" list like this. People will claim that one hotel is better or worse based on stars, expense, etc. But at the end of the day, your experience is all that matters. So if you're a Harrah's guy, keep enjoying it. Because at the end of the day, a positive experience is still positive
The worst I've been to was Harrah's. I basically used a free comp night there to avoid Thanksgiving airfare and airport traffic. I stayed at the Bellagio and Wynn before staying there so I was spoiled by the customer service. I checked in fine, even opting to get a discounted upgrade, but then my upgraded room was a mess and clearly not seen by housekeeping yet. I called the front desk and actually got a bit of attitude and not a single apology (even a quick "Sorry that happened" I don't need groveling) when I said the room was a mess. I then went back down and asked for my original room back. Also got some passive-aggressive questions about why I wanted my previously reserved room back. When I checked out, people kept cutting the line (not family or friends meeting up, just straight up cutting the line) and nothing happened even after someone mentioned it. The automatic checkout via television and kiosk were down too. Harrah's layout is also super confusing to me even for a Vegas hotel. Circus Circus is still the worst though. At least I didn't feel unsafe at Harrah's and even the dated room I got was clean and didn't smell. The location was good too.
The last time I got attitude from a dumb ass in Vegas I said, "Excuse me? Did you graduate from High School? Let me talk to a Supervisor.'' I got a Sup and he was VERY friendly and cooperative. YOU give THEM a taste of attitude and they'll straighten out very quickly.
Probably. The opinions of 500 folks are still opinions, so the personal bias is always there. But the experiences I read in the forums really sold the bad times lol

I stayed at The Stratosphere in February . I LOVED it! You can get there by Deuce, SDX or Uber or Lyft. The bed was so comfy. I had the biggest King sized bed that I had ever seen.

I visited last month....pool was lackluster....but otherwise seems like.yhe rooms were remodeled cause it was kinda niceish?

4 Queens actually isn't too bad. It's a bit Spartan, but for being a budget hotel it does well

I recently stayed at The Luxor for the first time and I really enjoyed my stay there! I had a king pyramid room and it was clean, a big comfy bed, a pretty mosaic wallpaper, sparkling bathroom and overall updated decor. It was quiet and the room itself didn't feel small despite the window being at an angle. My friend stayed in a king tower room and it was even nicer than mine! Overall we were both very happy and I would definitely stay there again.
Circus Circus is also the worst on the reno main drag for 30 years.Rumors were that their steakhouse was also great but i never ventured more then a walk thru.lol.scary,dark,smoky yuck.

@@AceOfVegas the only good place left in Reno is Peppermill Tuscany suite tower.( the original Peppermill coffee shop is there in casino and is always great )Post pandemic way too crowded tho.Next year vegas.

I stayed at most of the hotels that you said. Just got think if you are staying there to gambler and getting drunk then stay cheep. Most of them i didn't mind staying at.

I don’t even head to Circus Circus anymore for the theme park! I hate parking in their crumbling garage, using their dangerous broken ass elevators and walking through their dingy lobby THAT MUCH! And I LOVED Adventuredome!

On my last trip to Las Vegas I visited Circus Circu, because I wanted to see the indoor amusement park that I had heard so much about. I was not impressed at all the amusement park was overpriced and none of the kids that were there where wearing masks and it is extremely crowded. the casino was also extremely crowded and it was not very clean. I was very disappointed

Casino Royale isn't luxury but it is cheap and centrally located. The rooms are pretty basic but they are clean. I like that it has no resort fee. That's a rare thing on the Strip.
Yeah those are pretty solid benefits to it. Honestly as long as you aren't in the Manor Motor Lodge at CC, you're generally fine in Vegas
I stayed at ballys and I thought it wasn't bad. It was cheap, 39 and change for the nite. Didnt smell bad to me

Harrah’s in Atlantic City sucks. Doesn’t surprise me the Vegas one isn’t great either

I stayed at Bally’s over 100 times over the years and always loved it. The staff is great, BLT is Steakhouse No 2 on the strip (well , it’s temporarily closed at the moment) Steakhouse No 1 is Circus Circus, no doubt about that. Ballys got the biggest rooms on the strip and due to adjoining Paris, multiple dining options. I agree on everything else you said but keep Ballys off the list. It’s a great place to stay and play on the LV strip

Yep, around 20 times per year (I live in PHX, AZ) for the last 6-8 yrs at least, so it’s over 100 times.
Luxor and Excalibur were favorites growing up in the 1990s. I’ll take the Mirage these days

You know Joshua, funny thing is that TI wasn't even originally on my list. Fans actually wrote it in themselves and voted for it. So I didn't get much of a choice there. It ranks pretty low so I wouldn't let it put you off of staying there

Dude, continue to love Harrah's. This is just the opinion of a few folks based on their experience. There's really no such thing as an "absolute" list like this. People will claim that one hotel is better or worse based on stars, expense, etc. But at the end of the day, your experience is all that matters. So if you're a Harrah's guy, keep enjoying it. Because at the end of the day, a positive experience is still positive

The worst I've been to was Harrah's. I basically used a free comp night there to avoid Thanksgiving airfare and airport traffic. I stayed at the Bellagio and Wynn before staying there so I was spoiled by the customer service. I checked in fine, even opting to get a discounted upgrade, but then my upgraded room was a mess and clearly not seen by housekeeping yet. I called the front desk and actually got a bit of attitude and not a single apology (even a quick "Sorry that happened" I don't need groveling) when I said the room was a mess. I then went back down and asked for my original room back. Also got some passive-aggressive questions about why I wanted my previously reserved room back. When I checked out, people kept cutting the line (not family or friends meeting up, just straight up cutting the line) and nothing happened even after someone mentioned it. The automatic checkout via television and kiosk were down too. Harrah's layout is also super confusing to me even for a Vegas hotel.
Circus Circus is still the worst though. At least I didn't feel unsafe at Harrah's and even the dated room I got was clean and didn't smell. The location was good too.
Oh that sounds like such a lousy time! Well looks like Harrah's spot on the list was well deserved!
The last time I got attitude from a dumb ass in Vegas I said, "Excuse me? Did you graduate from High School? Let me talk to a Supervisor.'' I got a Sup and he was VERY friendly and cooperative. YOU give THEM a taste of attitude and they'll straighten out very quickly.

Probably. The opinions of 500 folks are still opinions, so the personal bias is always there. But the experiences I read in the forums really sold the bad times lol

More power to you Belle! I guess to most people if it's not "center strip" it's "Nowheresville?" I spend a lot more time south strip anyway myself. But the group has spoken Isuppose.

Lol all of us have. Live and learn right? All things considered, even being a "bad" hotel in Vegas just means that your mediocre to average almost anywhere else in the world, so there's that.
This list hasn’t aged well, most of these places have undergone renovations, Bally’s, Strat, and Luxor all have updated rooms

I stayed at The Stratosphere in February . I LOVED it! You can get there by Deuce, SDX or Uber or Lyft. The bed was so comfy. I had the biggest King sized bed that I had ever seen.
