    Gidday Ronnie, I live in the United States these days, but I use to live in Birdsville for about a year, I was the Diamantina Shire Electrician. I couldn’t tell you how many Beers i drank in that Pub. I dragged the wife and kiddo’s out there for that job, i loved it, the kids loved it but the wife hated it. Knowing what no now i wish i have never left, but at the time, as they say “Happy Wife Happy Life” Ha! Keep up the great video’s mate.

    Ronny I love what you’re doing, I’ve been following you for years. You’ve inspired me to overland prep my ranger. It’s almost done. I’m visiting Australia in December and I’m excited to see the wilderness you guys have. Keep up the good work guys. Much love from the U.K.

      You’re going to transport a 4WD from UK to Australia? That’s or a fortune by airplane or 3 months on a ship i guess? Even just renting a 4WD for a month in Australia will set you back over 4000 dollars. Still airplane ticket + fuel + food + hotels to add to the sum.

    Love this. Watching from the UK. Reminds me of my OZ travels at 18, taking my old Valiant station wagon red trailing with whoever I could get to share expenses with me from the last youth hostel. We would detour of the main roads for fun. Got into loads of sticky spots, saw loads of things few do. This reminds me of it all. Stunning drone work btw. Can't wait for the next episode..!! 👍👍😀

    Credits to Amalia for all her awesome hard skilled work in previous series, and the guts to take on such a challenge as "you lot" :)
    Ronny I felt Amalia brought a quiet great balance to the well~bonded group (i.e. a group of people who go to many wells separated by many miles, but grouped in good healthy respect and friendship).

    Can't wait to see Nemesis! Bumped into a guy towing with a Discovery 4 who had 6 attempts at it & was hitting the defensive positions dug in by other trailer dragging muppets so hard it ripped his roof rack mounts clean off. I pointed out he'd made 2 big mistakes, 1, towing anything across the Simpson & 2, going off sealed roads in a Discovery 4 😀

    • @nnoddy8161
      @nnoddy8161 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Does that make Ronny a 'trailer dragging muppet' as well?????

    • @gaj5701
      @gaj5701 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nah, it's the others who have no clue towing big vans without dropping tyres far enough, getting stuck on a big dune, digging big holes to get maxtrax under then spin the sh*t out of their wheels digging the maxtrax further in then digging them back out & driving off without filling the holes in. Saw that on 2 occasions on my last crossing & stopped myself to fill the trenches back in as there was other, seemingly more responsible trailer towing guys behind me (I was solo) & they wouldn't have made it through. The stinging part is the guys stuck actually had shovels in their hands after digging the Maxtrax out & walked off 😤

    Fuel gauge going up and down? I thought that was normal for Toyotas. Used to happen with our HJ60 and also happens with the Coaster. The Coaster has the added benefit of the temp gauge going up and down too.

    I had a saddle tank on my motorcycle. I drove across the Nullarbor and thought I was using a lot of fuel, but then remembered I had gone through any corners. Usually the fuel will slosh onto the guage/pickup side. I never had a fuel consumption problem on my bike and relied on mileage and slosh guage.

    One technical question, you said you put down your trailer tires to 10psi. The reason you getting air off of the tires is to have more grip - don't you want to have as little as possible grip on trailer tires? They are not part of your driving line, so they would drag you back instead of helping - can you explain?

    Next time you are going out there with all the flies in the world while in Brisbane go to the stocking section and get some that stretch but don’t make big holes in them and you cut one of the legs off and then put it over the top of your hat and then pull it down to your neck they work better with a brimmed hat.

    What are your thoughts on the snorkel sock? I’ve heard for and against. The against argument is clogging and restricted air flow, the necessity of cleaning, not needed, problems with the ecu when air flow is restricted.
